Automation Engineering Technician

Role Summary
The Automation Engineering Technician is a key technical expert responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of automated solutions within Asurion’s Supply Chain network. This role bridges the gap between high-level engineering design and daily operational execution. You will ensure that automated systems—including robotics, vision systems, and conveyance—operate at peak efficiency to drive productivity, reduce costs, and support New Product Introductions (NPI).
Key Responsibilities
Technical Operations & Maintenance
- System Upkeep: Execute general maintenance, fabrication (jigs/tooling), and repairs on automated equipment to ensure safety, and maximum up time.
- Preventive Care: Research OEM manuals to develop and execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks, calibrations, and ESD checks in compliance with QMS and safety standards.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key metrics such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Units Per Hour (UPH), availability, and yield.
- NPI Support: Participate in the installation, relocation, and testing of new hardware and software deployments.
Engineering Support & Process Improvement
- Troubleshooting: Lead root cause analysis and Level 3 technical support for complex system malfunctions, escalating to senior engineering staff when necessary.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process enhancements, utilizing data to influence decision-making and operational strategy.
- Documentation: Create and maintain high-quality engineering reports, Work Instructions (WI), Job Aids (JA), and FMEA documentation.
- Operational Readiness: Support Automation Engineers in developing business cases, tracking CAPEX/OPEX spend, and validating projected savings.
Management & Coordination
- Inventory Control: Manage maintenance spare parts inventory (min/max levels) and oversee the organization of work areas using 5S methodologies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between internal teams (IT, Operations, Quality) and external vendors to resolve technical issues and manage project timelines.
- Training: Facilitate knowledge transfer by training operators and other technicians on new equipment and updated safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills
Education/Experience Minimum
- Associate degree in engineering or 2+ years of hands-on experience implementing automated solutions in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
Technical Proficiency
- Practical knowledge of PLCs, robotics, vision systems, and conveyance.
- Experience with QMS, 5S, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Advanced skills in CAD, 2D and or 3D, MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.

Summary:
Project Managers lead Project Teams in the successful completion of construction projects, from the initial hand-off from Estimating through final completion and close-out. PMs are responsible for overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and control, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards and applicable laws and regulations. Job Summary
We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Program Coordinator to start ASAP for a 6-month contract with the option to extend up to one year and potential for future hire. This role is preferably onsite. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of facility or building maintenance experience, preferably within a multi-unit retail environment, along with strong technical knowledge of building systems and industry trends, proven problem-solving and decision-making skills, the ability to manage a high volume of projects in a fast-paced environment, and availability to travel as needed.
Day to Day:
This position is responsible for managing the resolution of facility related repair and maintenance issues associated with owned or leased premises and to continuously deliver a safe, secure and comfortable environment for our customers and team members.
1. Manage repair and maintenance program for all stores in your respective territory. (40%)
2. Manage Landlord Maintenance issues, including any dispute resolution necessary to get Landlords to make repairs as required under the the lease. (10%)
3. Analyze root cause of reported facility issue, establish scope of work and required specifications, engage vendors, control bid process and recommend approval of related expense to coordinate the resolution of the repair. (10%)
4. Verify invoices for accuracy, performance of contracted repairs, warranty adherence, appropriate accounting codes, required signatures and accurate data entry to ensure appropriate payment by organization. (5%)
5. Collect, compile and record all email, phone and mailed documentation to maintain complete electronic archive and hard copy history of store repairs including initial requests, quotes, contracts, required approvals, warranties, completion results and invoices. (15%)
6. Direct, review and communicate with appropriate Store Team Members, Field Personnel, internal departments and interact with all corporate levels to provide customer service and support to ensure satisfactory completion of repair and maintenance issues and accurate appropriation of related expenses. 7. Verify competitive pricing across a wide range of service industries to ensure cost saving and value engineering through research and experience such as but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural, asphalt, concrete, flooring, roofing and general facility components. (5%)

In this leadership role, you will enhance the strategic direction of our experimentation methodology efforts. - 2 + years of professional with experimentation platforms, data pipelines, and analytical tools to guide methodological rigor
- A deep understanding of statistical principles, causal inference, and experimental design for large-scale digital products
- A track record of partnering effectively with experimentation platform teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to drive data-informed decision-making
- 5+ years of professional experience translating complex statistical concepts into actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences
- The ability to define and implement a vision for experimentation best practices across diverse product areas
