We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join a well-established tool and die manufacturing job shop that specializes in precision tooling, molds, fixtures, and dies used in metal and thermoforming production. This is a key role within the organization, responsible for developing accurate project estimates and supporting the sales and engineering teams in preparing competitive quotes for customers.


This position is open due to a retirement, and the outgoing estimator is currently working with the team to ensure a smooth transition and knowledge transfer. The estimator will collaborate closely with engineering, sales, and manufacturing teams to determine the cost, materials, labor, and production requirements for custom tooling projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotes for custom tooling, molds, fixtures, and dies.

About the Role

The Senior Manufacturing Manager is responsible for leading manufacturing and engineering operations at the Nanosonics Indianapolis Manufacturing Site, a chemical packaging facility operating automated mixing and bottling lines.

The role is accountable for safe, compliant, and efficient production while delivering business outcomes for quality, cost, delivery, and performance. The position operates within a global manufacturing model, ensuring alignment with Nanosonics’ standardised and harmonised manufacturing systems and the corporate Quality Management System shared with Australian operations.

This role defines how manufacturing outcomes are achieved locally while delivering what is required by the business.


Responsibilities

Manufacturing Operations

  • Own and execute the site production plan, ensuring work orders are released, scheduled, and completed in line with demand, quality requirements, and capacity constraints.
  • Lead daily manufacturing operations for automated chemical mixing and bottling lines.
  • Ensure production activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with approved procedures, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor production performance, identify constraints or losses, and drive corrective actions to meet throughput, yield, and delivery targets.
  • Ensure effective shift coverage, resource planning, and capability management of Production Team Members.

Engineering Integration

  • Provide leadership for engineering support to production, ensuring equipment reliability, process capability, and line performance are maintained.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve line efficiency, reduce waste, lower COGs, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) while maintaining product quality.

  • Act as the site leader for Work Health & Safety, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, standards, and Nanosonics policies.

  • Lead or coordinate cross‑functional projects related to site improvements, compliance upgrades, capacity expansion, or performance enhancement.
  • Develop project scopes, timelines, and resource plans aligned with business priorities.
  • Ensure changes to processes, equipment, or infrastructure are properly assessed, approved, and implemented.
  • Coordinate internal teams and external contractors to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Leadership & Global Collaboration

  • Lead, coach, and develop Production Team Members and Manufacturing Engineers to build capability, accountability, and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Review, develop and direct: proposals and scope of work for geophysical surveys, data acquisition, processing, and reports.
  • Assist in review and technical oversight of engineering plans, environmental reports and litigation projects as needed.
  • Main point of contact for Geophysics clients to ensure high quality deliverables are on budget and on time.

  • Advanced technical knowledge in the geophysics discipline; familiarity with geophysical field methods; excellent surveying and mapping skills; advanced knowledge of geophysical equipment including operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting; strong project management and organizational skills; multidisciplinary environmental project experience.
  • Strong PC skills and experience with method specific geophysical software including GPR, EM, magnetics, seismic, resistivity and borehole logging.

Job Description:

This Quality Engineer oversees the manufacturing and engineering processes by ensuring the proper use of tools, materials, and procedures to monitor, test and report on the quality of the products. The Quality Engineer is responsible for the generation of a strategic plan to improve the business processes by ensuring compliance of the products and increase production output. The Quality Engineer must be self-directed and must show initiative in identifying and resolving opportunities for improvement, promoting Quality initiatives, and driving continual improvement in the Quality System. The Quality Engineer will pay close attention to detail, must possess analytical/critical thinking/problem-solving skills, possess excellent communication, ethics, math, and interpersonal skills.



Responsibilities:

  • Supports efforts in conjunction with manufacturing and engineering to develop plans for continual improvement of product and process quality. Ensures that decisions are made based on sound Quality principles and regulatory guidelines.
  • Supports/leads failure investigations, using root cause analysis tools, and proposing/implementing systemic corrective actions. Identifies areas of systemic weakness and leads initiatives to implement corrective action. Promotes use of statistical analysis for determination of improvements and provides analyses to support risk mitigation.
  • Implement and monitor all procedures and processes as they relate to Quarantine, Hold, Expired, Damages, Return Goods and Recalled product.
  • Evaluate proposed changes for design control requirements. Guides engineering/ manufacturing personnel of appropriate qualification, validation criteria.
  • Provides routine analysis of performance indicators and identifies trends. Presents this information to management, supervisors and manufacturing operators. Supports/leads initiatives to improve performance.
  • Supports/leads teams to update risk management files for process changes. Focus team on implementing capable processes, process controls, and error-proofing measures.
  • Collaborates with functional process owners to train, mentor and/or facilitate QMS requirements and continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring the in-process quality check on the line.
  • Reviews new Batch records and SOPs.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Education and/or Experience:

  • BA or BS Degree in Engineering, Quality Control or related field.
  • 5 years relevant experience in Quality Engineering/manufacturing/ production processes.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation (e.g., distributed control and PLC-based systems)
  • Working knowledge of safety, quality systems, and GMPs is required.

Position Responsibilities

The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:

  • Communicate and partner with Aisin Purchasing, Quality, Supplier Quality, SED/SPTT, Design, and Production, groups to implement supplier special process audits.
  • Manage and lead supplier audit activities based on Aisin Level I and Level II Special Process requirements.
  • Track the status of each special process audit and develop improvement plans if necessary.
  • Establish audit frequency and manage accordingly.
  • Visit assigned suppliers regularly and communicate results to AWA and affected NAP
  • Track supplier special process performance metrics regionally (North America, Canada, and or Mexico)

Required Skills and Abilities

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment in a quality or process/manufacturing technician or engineering role
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001 and/or IATF16949 quality systems standards
  • Understand Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to review the manufacturing process, analyze activities, and develop potential actions for improvement of manufacturing process and quality systems.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret drawings and engineering specifications
  • Ability to develop training materials and provide training where required for suppliers

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering field preferred
  • ASQ certification as Technician, Engineer, Auditor, and/or NSPE as Professional Engineer highly desirable

  • Approximately 50 %
