The Opportunity
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for a full-time, 9-month tenure-earning assistant professor or tenured associate professor with an expected start date of December 23, 2026.
We seek visionary scholars in the area of RF and Microwave Circuits and Systems. This position presents an exceptional opportunity for the successful candidate to lead innovation in high-frequency electronics-ranging from 5G/6G communications and IoT to specialized RF systems for spaceborne and extreme-environment applications.
The successful candidate will leverage UCF's proximity to the aerospace and defense industries to bridge the gap between academic research and the burgeoning commercial space industry. Given the scale of our programs, this is a unique opportunity to shape the future workforce by training and mentoring the next generation of engineers through our comprehensive undergraduate and graduate programs.

Minimum Qualifications:
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in electrical engineering, or other closely related disciplines at the time of appointment. Applicants must have a strong research track record supported by quality publications.
To be eligible for appointment as a tenured associate professor upon hire, the selected candidate must have a demonstrated record of teaching, research, and service commensurate with a tenured faculty appointment at the rank of associate professor.
Preferred Qualifications:
Past work experience in academia with strong funding record is desirable. A demonstrated record of teaching/training experience is of interest.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our security operations team. This role serves as a senior technical resource responsible for maintaining and improving our managed detection and response (MDR) platform and supporting advanced incident investigations.
The ideal candidate is highly technical, experienced in operating security platforms in an MSP/MSSP environment, and comfortable serving as an escalation point for security analysts. Security Platform Operations

About the Role
We’re seeking a Drainage Engineer with experience in water resources, stormwater management, and hydraulic design to join our growing Transportation Design team. This role plays a key part in developing drainage systems for roadway and infrastructure projects across Florida. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare drainage design calculations, reports, and construction plans in accordance with FDOT, local, and federal requirements.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using software such as ICPR, HEC-RAS, HY-8, ASAD, and other stormwater modeling tools.
- Design and analyze stormwater management systems, conveyance systems, retention/detention ponds, and culverts.
- Support preparation of Permit applications and supporting documentation for local, state, and federal agencies (FDOT, FDEP, SWFWMD, SFWMD, etc.).
- Collaborate with roadway, utility, and environmental teams to ensure design integration and constructability.

The Opportunity:
The University of Central Florida (UCF) department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering invites enthusiastic applications from highly motivated and talented individuals for a Postdoctoral Scholar position with focus on experimental testing of high-temperature materials, solar receivers, and thermochemical reactors. The Post Doctoral Scholar will be supported by a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Solar Energy Technologies Office (SETO) funded three-year project, focusing on the design and lab-scale testing of high-temperature thermochemical reactors for solar and other renewable energy conversion and storage. The scholar will co-lead a collaborative research team with members from three universities, one clean energy start-up company, and a DOE national laboratory (Sandia) for a prototype reactor development and demonstration. The scholar will also help Dr. Li organize group meetings, co-mentor graduate and undergraduate students, and publish high-impact scientific journal articles and conference papers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, or a very closely aligned field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in studying fluid-solid interactions, reactive material reduction/oxidation kinetics, and high-temperature radiation transfer is highly desired.
- Experience in studying material reactivity at high temperature using TGA/DSC or mass spectrometer is highly desired.
- Experience in designing and operating thermal/fluid systems using high-temperature furnaces is desired.
- Experience with material characterization such as XRD, SEM, micro-CT scan etc. is desired.
- Expertise in experimental design and testing of high-temperature materials and energy systems such as solar receivers, chemical reactors, or heat exchangers.

General Summary of Position:
As a NOC Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining our clients' network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Your expertise in SD-WAN networking and firewall management will be essential in proactively identifying and resolving network issues and implementing appropriate solutions. The ability to work independently and effectively manage a ticket queue is crucial to ensure timely response and resolution of network-related incidents. By joining our team you will be given the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge along one of three primary practices: Network Security, Enterprise Networking, or Unified Voice and Application support with our internal subject matter experts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Remotely troubleshoot managed service-related issues on support calls with Granite customers and/or field technicians
- Assist with the implementation and onboarding of innovative security and networking products, including in-house designed hardware solutions
- Professionally, accurately, and efficiently handle customer requests including technical and non-technical inquiries to any NOC related services
- Work with industry standard partners (Fortinet, Cisco, VMWare, etc.) on the support and implementation of nationwide networks

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 1-2 years in a technical support related role, or equivalent experience
- Understanding of networking standards, OSI model, subnetting and routing protocols
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues efficiently.

• Experience in modernizing enterprise testing practices through APIs, events, microservices, and data platforms, ideally within Guidewire Insurance Suite, and crafting Quality Engineering strategies that cover both the core and connected digital ecosystem.
• Strong background in leading geographically spread Quality Engineering teams and external partners, ensuring efficiency and accountability through structured RACI models.
