Job Summary

Exo is seeking a highly motivated and technically strong Acoustics Design Engineer to perform acoustic and transducer design of its ultrasonic imaging products. In this role, you will help evolve the specification and modeling of Exo’s core pMUT technology into next- generation devices. You will work closely with Product Engineering, Imaging, Manufacturing, and Characterization to translate imaging and system requirements into robust acoustic designs, ensure manufacturability, and resolve acoustic issues from concept through verification and production.

Job Responsibilities (but not limited to)

• Design, analysis, and optimization of Exo’s pMUT transducer architectures, spanning coupled electrical, mechanical, and acoustic domains across large arrays.
• Develop and maintain scalable modeling workflows to rapidly explore and optimize pMUT designs within an open design space, accounting for system requirements, architectural trade-offs, and manufacturing constraints.
• Partner with internal design, process, and manufacturing teams to define, refine, and align on design targets, tolerances, and constraints.
• Provide detailed modeling support for layout and DFM (design for manufacturing) activities, including prediction of performance variation due to process and material variability.
• Close the loop between design, process, and test by analyzing characterization data, comparing results to design targets, updating models and specifications, and driving design improvements.
• Model and analyze acoustic interactions with adjacent structures including lenses and matching layers, reflectors and absorbers, housings, silicon die, PCBs, and interconnects.
• Translate imaging and system-level requirements into pMUT specifications, making informed trade-offs when competing requirements cannot be met by a single design.
• Develop simplified and reduced-order models, where appropriate, to capture array- level and system-level physics while maintaining predictive accuracy.
• Development projects under this organization are at the leading edge of technology and require creative development approaches, particularly with regard to design, architecture, and process variation. Dynamism with flexibility and adaptability to accept new tasks is key.
• Document models, assumptions, results, and design decisions clearly through reports and presentations to support cross-functional decision-making.

Education/Experience Requirements

• MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Acoustics or an equivalent field.
• Strong background in acoustic and/or piezoelectric transducer design.
• Extensive experience with finite element modeling of coupled multi-physics
• systems.
• 10+ years of relevant industry or research experience in acoustics, transducers,
• MEMS, or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects and influence cross-
• functional teams.

Preferred

• Hands-on experience with ANSYS (or equivalent multiphysics FEM tools).
• Experience designing pMUTs, cMUTs, or related ultrasonic transducer
• technologies.
• Background in consumer electronics, medical devices, or healthcare imaging
• systems.
• Proficiency with data analysis and scripting tools such as Python, Mathematica and JMP.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Glazing Engineer is responsible for the completion of high quality façade, curtain wall and glazing system projects on time, within budget and within scope. This role will oversee all aspects of a project from start to finish by coordinating efforts involving the internal team, subcontractors, vendors, and owners/developers. The ideal candidate will have outstanding interpersonal skills, adjusting to changing priorities from various directives, and communicate effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversees the design development and coordination of custom curtain wall and glazing systems, translating architectural intent into engineered, buildable, and fully coordinated façade solutions. Capable of leading multiple projects and supervising engineers.
• Know and comply with all federal, state, local building codes, ordinances and regulations, maintaining the highest standards for safety and quality.
• Manage relationships with all internal and external parties in order to determine specifications of the project, resolve conflict, and support success.
• Establish project schedule and delegate project tasks based on staff strengths, skills, and experience.
• Secure and allocate all resources needed for the completion of the project including building permits, licenses, materials, equipment.
• Negotiate, manage and communicate changes to contract scope, schedule and costs.
• Plan and execute inspections, assess design compliance and quality, minimize risk.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in façade, curtain wall, or glazing system engineering within a design-build or design-assist environment
• Strong understanding of building envelope design, structural behavior, waterproofing, and thermal performance
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D modeling tools; familiarity with façade testing standards (ASTM, AAMA, NFRC)
• Experience coordinating with architects, structural engineers, and fabricators through design, procurement, and installation
• Skilled in technical documentation, submittal review, and field problem-solving
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary project teams
• A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

In your role as a Systems Architect you will be responsible for the development and architectural design of prototypes and certifiable safety-critical flight systems in a dynamic start-up work environment.

You will have the following responsibilities:

• Define new/novel functions necessary to control autonomous aircraft and manage contingencies

• Define the relationship between the vehicle, pilot, and support system for remotely operated autonomous aircraft

• Perform the decomposition of aircraft, system and LRU functions, define the system physical / logical architecture and allocate functionality

• Perform trades studies to assess performance, complexity, risk, and cost of competing technical solutions

• Work closely with system and safety analysts to define system architectural features to meet safety and security requirements

• Derive and validate requirements and interfaces based on the architecture to ensure correct and complete implementation at the next design level

We are hiring a hands-on Director of Supply Chain & Production to build and scale our end-to-end supply chain and manufacturing operations. This leader will own production execution—ensuring builds happen on schedule, materials arrive when needed, and customer and investor milestones are met without surprises.

You will drive disciplined production planning, enforce accountability across suppliers and internal teams, and remove blockers before they impact timelines. In a startup environment where resources are tight and priorities shift, you bring structure without slowing momentum. Execution matters here—meeting build schedules, delivering units on time, and scaling cleanly from prototype through volume production.

Core Responsibilities

• Own the full supply chain lifecycle: sourcing, procurement, supplier development, planning, logistics, and cost control
• Lead production ramp from pilot builds to scalable manufacturing (internal and/or contract manufacturers)
• Own supplier quality and incoming inspection systems
• Define and execute contract manufacturing strategy
• Establish spare parts and field service supply architecture
• Partner with Finance to optimize working capital and inventory efficiency
• Lead make-vs-buy and capital equipment investment decisions
• Establish and manage production schedules aligned to company milestones + report out weekly to teams and Executive team; including Board of Directors.
• Negotiate and manage strategic supplier contracts (electronics, mechanical systems, long-lead components, capital equipment)
• Drive BOM cost reduction and margin improvement initiatives
• Implement production KPIs: throughput, yield, on-time delivery, inventory turns, and cost
• Identify supply risks early (capacity, geopolitical exposure, sole-source dependencies) and implement mitigation strategies
• Partner closely with Engineering on NPI, DFM, supplier qualification, and design-to-cost efforts
• Develop S&OP and demand planning processes appropriate for a scaling startup
• Stand up scalable systems (ERP/MRP, forecasting, reporting infrastructure)
• Recruit, develop, and lead a lean, high-performing supply chain and production team
• Develop operational processes for parts inventory, ordering, and supporting a dealer network.
• A focus on managing budget and forecast.

• Production ramps cleanly to meet customer and board-level milestones
• Clear visibility into supply risk, cost structure, and capacity constraints; identify alternate solutions.
• Critical supplier contracts secured with favorable commercial and operational terms
• Improved production yield, cycle time, and on-time delivery
• Build processes to support a dealer network.
• A resilient supply base capable of supporting rapid growth
• A strong, accountable team in place that executes without constant oversight

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, operations, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is a plus.
• 10+ years of leadership experience in supply chain and/or production within EV, autonomy, robotics, automotive, or other complex hardware environments
• Proven experience scaling from NPI/prototype to volume manufacturing
• Demonstrated success negotiating multi-million-dollar supplier agreements
• Strong production execution background with a track record of delivering against aggressive timelines
• Experienced team builder who attracts, develops, and retains high-performing talent
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building systems from scratch
• Technical fluency to engage deeply with engineering and manufacturing teams
• Experience in a startup or VC-backed growth environment preferred
• Bias toward action and ownership; solves problems early and decisively
• Expertise in Production Planning and Manufacturing Operations.
• Proficiency in Supply Chain Management and inventory optimization techniques.
• Experience implementing process improvements, cost-reduction strategies, and maintaining quality standards in manufacturing.
• Experience in the agricultural technology sector or similar industries is preferred.

Salary Range: $185,000 - $225,000 base + Equity
