A hands-on, senior individual contributor role for engineers who still love coding. You'll work in small teams (often 1–3 engineers) to design and build production-grade data platforms, pipelines, and products across industries.

Helping our client find a Model Based System Engineer that will be the technical point of contact for the company's mobility service digital twin.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining standards, methodologies, style guides, model architecture, model quality, model integrations, and adoption strategies across all systems engineering departments. You will partner closely with IT engineering applications department to enact changes and scale MBSE adoption.

Minimum education and experience:

This role is fully remote, however the consultant must be based in the Chicago area in order to collect company equipment on day one.

• Lead the architecture and design of enterprise data platforms built on Azure and Databricks

• Design scalable Lakehouse architectures using Databricks, Delta Lake, and Azure Data Services

• Work closely with engineering teams to guide implementation of best practices across data engineering, performance optimization, and cost management

• Provide technical leadership across ingestion frameworks, orchestration, and data governance

Required Experience
