Job Summary

The Senior Platform Architect will lead the technical architecture, design, and modernization of large-scale, multi-tenant enterprise SaaS platforms built on Azure and the .NET stack. This role requires mastery of distributed systems, cloud-native design, and advanced engineering practices to deliver highly available, performant, and secure solutions for global consumer-facing SaaS and Agentic AI products.

Responsibilities and Duties

Architectural Design & Transformation

• Lead migration from monolithic systems to modular monolith and microservices architectures using domain-driven design, bounded contexts, and decomposition strategies.
• Design multi-tenant SaaS platforms with advanced tenant isolation, resource partitioning, and elastic scaling using Azure services.
• Define and enforce architectural standards for .NET (C#), TypeScript, Angular, SQL Server, and Azure, including dependency injection, SOLID principles, asynchronous programming, and reactive patterns.
• Design and implement distributed systems: service orchestration, API gateway management, IoT, edge computing, distributed transactions, eventual consistency, CQRS, and event sourcing.
• Architect for cloud-native resiliency: circuit breakers, bulkheads, retries, failover, geo-redundancy, and disaster recovery using Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Cosmos DB, and Azure SQL.
• Develop and maintain architecture documentation, reference models, and decision records using industry frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, C4 Model).

Performance Engineering & Observability

• Establish and monitor platform SLOs (latency, throughput, error rates, availability) mapped to customer SLAs.
• Architect and implement advanced caching strategies, indexing, and query optimization for SQL Server and NoSQL stores in coordination with Senior Data Architect, Data Engineers, and Database Admins.
• Design and implement telemetry pipelines: distributed tracing (OpenTelemetry), structured logging, metrics collection, and real-time dashboards for system health and diagnostics.
• Conduct performance profiling, load testing, and capacity planning for backend services and frontend applications.

Automation, Quality, and DevOps

• Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines with automated build, test, security scanning, and deployment workflows.
• Integrate static code analysis, code coverage, and quality gates into the development lifecycle.
• Design and enforce automated testing strategies: unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end tests for backend and frontend components.
• Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions for repeatable, scalable cloud provisioning.
• Create incident response playbooks for rollback, failover, and recovery, drive down MTTR and automate remediation where possible.

Security, Compliance, and Governance

• Architect for multi-tenant security: authentication/authorization (OAuth2, OpenID Connect), encryption at rest and in transit, secrets management, and compliance with SOC 1, SOC 2, GDPR, and other regulatory standards.
• Implement secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) practices, threat modeling, and vulnerability management, including ZDR, DLP, No Model Training policies with AI Models.
• Ensure architectural governance and alignment with enterprise frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman), maintain architecture decision records, and participate in architecture review boards.

Technical Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor engineering teams in advanced architectural concepts, distributed systems, cloud-native development, and best practices.
• Collaborate with Data Architect, DevOps, IT Services, Engineering and Product Management teams to ensure platform extensibility, integration, and support for complex business requirements.
• Evaluate and integrate AI/ML services, advanced analytics, and developer productivity tools to enhance platform capabilities.
• Champion a culture of technical excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 10+ years in software/platform engineering, with at least 8 years in platform architecture for enterprise SaaS on Azure and .NET tech stack.
• Proven experience architecting and delivering large-scale, multi-tenant SaaS platforms for global consumer-facing products.
• Deep expertise in .NET (C#), Azure cloud services (App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Cosmos DB, SQL Server), Azure Open AI, Microsoft Agent Framework, TypeScript, Angular, CI/CD, automated testing, and observability.
• Mastery of distributed systems, cloud-native patterns, event-driven architectures, and microservices.
• Demonstrated success in technical debt reduction, performance engineering, and architectural modernization.
• Experience with architectural frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, C4 Model), architectural governance, and compliance.
• Strong understanding of platform security, regulatory compliance, and multi-tenant SaaS challenges.

We're partnering with a leading innovator in energy storage and renewable technology to hire a Systems Deployment Engineer supporting cutting-edge infrastructure across utility-scale energy projects.

This role sits at the intersection of IT and Operational Technology (OT) — focused on deploying, configuring, and supporting the systems that power real-world energy environments. What You'll Be Doing

• Deploy and configure Linux-based servers, edge devices, and virtualized environments (Ubuntu, VMware, Proxmox)

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Deployment Engineer to join our Operational

Technology Deployment (OT) team. In this role, you will be the critical link between our

digital infrastructure and physical operations. You will be responsible for the deployment,

and secure configuration of the edge computing systems, servers, and networks that drive

our industrial control environments.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in Linux system administration, a passion for

automation, and a deep understanding of how to safely and securely deploy technology in

environments where process uptime and physical safety are the highest priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• OT Infrastructure Deployment: Lead the installation, configuration, and

commissioning of Linux-based edge devices, servers, and virtualized environments

(e.g., Ubuntu, VMware, Proxmox) at operational sites.

• Deployment Automation: Develop, maintain and optimize automation scripts and

configuration management tools (such as Ansible, Bash, or/and Python) to

streamline the deployment of OT systems and reduce manual errors.

• Database & Systems Management: Deploy and manage time-series and relational

databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MariaDB) optimized for high-frequency operational

data collection.

• Hardware Lifecycle: Monitoring the health of edge devices, planning for hardware

obsolescence, and ensuring resource availability (CPU, RAM, Disk) for critical

control applications.

• Hardware Commissioning: Work directly with ruggedized edge hardware and

industrial networking equipment, ensuring seamless communication using standard

OT and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus TCP/RTU, DNP3, OPC

UA, MQTT).

• Site Reliability & Support: Act as an escalation point for complex deployment

issues, ensuring all systems meet stringent availability and safety requirements

before being handed over to the operations team.

• Complete requisite training and professional development activities to stay abreast

of industry state-of-the-art tools and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, IT/OT Integration, or a

similar role focused on deploying infrastructure in industrial, manufacturing, or

critical infrastructure environments.

• Operating Systems: Advanced proficiency in Linux system administration,

specifically in deploying and hardening enterprise Linux distributions.

• Automation Skills: Proven experience writing and managing automation playbooks

(Ansible) and scripting (Bash, Ruby, Python) for zero-touch provisioning.

• Networking & Security: Solid understanding of industrial networking concepts,

firewalls, VLANs, and OT cybersecurity standards.

• OT Protocols: Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and how to

securely route their traffic to modern IT applications.

• Mindset: A strong \"safety-first\" and \"uptime-critical\" mentality, understanding the

distinct differences between enterprise IT environments and live OT production

sites.

• Experience with Agile development methodologies and capturing day-to-day

The Integrated Energy Analytics Specialist is responsible for driving initiatives focused on reducing Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, improving energy efficiency, process water conservation, manufacturing waste elimination, while achieving cost savings within the organization. This role leverages advanced data analytics, a thorough knowledge of K-C manufacturing processes, and expertise in energy and process data acquisition and control systems to identify and execute impactful projects. In this role, you will:

• Piloting and Deployment of AI Applications for Energy Efficiency. The Integrated Energy Analytics Specialist is responsible for piloting artificial intelligence (AI) applications that target improvements in energy efficiency and reductions in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. In addition to leading these pilot initiatives, the specialist is tasked with developing and supporting a pipeline for near-term deployment of successful applications across additional manufacturing sites.
• ·Energy and Climate Reporting Support – The specialist provides support for the organization's energy and climate reporting systems. This includes tracking both leading and lagging key performance indicators (KPIs) for relevant programs, implementing appropriate processes and controls, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in data management and reporting.
• ·Cross-Functional Collaboration – Projects and EBPs. Collaboration is essential to the success of energy and sustainability projects.
