Role Description

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Create takeoff list from architectural drawings/specifications and shop drawings
• Coordinate plans and specifications with designers and engineers to resolve discrepancies
• Preparation of bid packages
• Maintain cost data base for preliminary budgets
• Assist in conducting effective pre-construction planning sessions with sub-contractors
• Setup initial contracts and project information in Procore
• Assist in management of project permit process
• Receive, review, forward and track status of submittals and RFIs;
• Coordinate with Architects, Engineer, Subs and Field Construction
• Assist in on-going quality control including punch lists, etc.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining project schedules. Become proficient with Microsoft Project
• Assist Sr. PE in managing and updating Project Budgets, Work Authorizations and Payment Applications
• Coordinate, track and log all Management Systems using Procore
• Coordinate daily and weekly meeting minutes and logs
• Participate in the development and management of project scheduling including three to six-week look ahead schedules
• Prepare and analyze subcontract change orders
• Identify and share opportunities to improve processes and procedures

• Facilitate strong positive relations with subcontractors

Responsibilities
- The control, scanning, indexing, linking, hardcopy filing and distribution of documents in Prolog. This includes internal to Planning & Development Group (PDG) and external to project participants distribution of correspondence, technical submittals, project reports, Requests for Information, and contract plans and specifications.
- Prepare transmittals, distribute documents using Prolog, and retrieve documents through Prolog software.
- Must be highly organized and detail oriented.

What you'll do:
- Design mechanical systems for atmospheric recovery: deployables, aerodynamic decelerators, recovery mechanisms, interfaces, and precision landing hardware
- Own hardware end-to-end: concept → requirements → CAD → FEA → prototype → assemble → qualify → flight
- Perform structural/thermal/mechanism analysis for extreme loads, temperatures, and dynamics
- Lead integration across rigid structures + soft goods (e.g., paraglider/parachute-style systems) and flight hardware
- Support and drive test campaigns (ground, wind-tunnel, and flight) and iterate quickly
- Run design reviews (PDR/CDR) and produce clear drawings, BOMs, documentation, and work instructions
