Injection Molding | Process Engineer
Specializes in designing and implementing the manufacturing processes for the injection molding department. Driver of safety, continuous improvement objectives, quality control standards, and process activities for engineering technicians and process technicians. Supports the improvement of operations and reducing operating costs.
- Provide support and direction to Process Engineers, PE technicians, process technicians, and production personnel as needed
- Develop and maintain injection molding processes and new manufacturing methods
- Provide course of action for manufacturing issues, out-of-control processes, and quality discrepancies
- Applying root cause analysis practice to solve problems
- Gather and analyze data for understanding and guiding improvement plans for key process indicators including quality, scrap, cycle time, and cost reduction
- Support standardization of equipment and procedures to meet Utz Global and Fit-4-Future initiatives
- Support new mold launches and samplings
- Key user of MES, Authentig, and remote maintenance
- Knowledge source for plant-wide system processes (i.e. Oni, Motan, etc.)
- Interface with various vendors for services, equipment, and capital improvement
- Maintain current documentation used and continue to develop new resources and SOP’s necessary to support process functions and maintain project deadlines
- Work closely with Injection Molding Manager to create and drive employee development plans for applicable team members.
- Provide on-sight training for technical staff as needed as part of employee development
- Assist in maintaining machines and equipment
- Part of a cross-functional team working with Maintenance, Tooling, Design Engineering, and Automation to address issues, complete project goals, and develop improvement ideas
- Capital improvement projects (selection, justification, quoting, installation) and working within budgetary requirements
- Other tasks as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Technical, Engineering) preferred Associate Degree considered
- 2 years of experience in injection molding process engineering or
- 7+ years of experience in injection molding process with aptitude to above requirements
- Must be able to communicate well with various team members and present information in a clear, concise manner to all aspects of the organization
- Must follow established company guidelines and perform duties in a satisfactory manner
Sr. Engineer - Material Flow
Minimum 5 Years experience as a Material Flow Engineer
Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Engineer to fill an opening with a manufacturing company located in Warsaw, Indiana. The ideal candidates should have a strong understanding of the logistics and material flow within a plant, and have experience with the analysis and planning of material flows.
Requirements of the Material Flow Engineer
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Materials Flow, Logistics, or Industrial Engineering, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Proven experience managing material handling equipment from concept to operations.
- Experience with fork-free strategies, AGVs / AGCs, including kitting / sequencing cells and lean lineside presentation.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and material tracking technologies.
- Familiarity with Packaging Engineering is a plus.
Responsibilities of the Material Flow Engineer
- Design and optimize material flow from warehouse to point-of-use using lean manufacturing principles.
- Implement lineside material replenishment systems (e.g., eKanban) to automate material calls and improve delivery efficiency.
- Develop and maintain layouts for material handling systems, maximizing warehouse and production floor space.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Logistics, IT, Quality, Purchasing, Suppliers) to align material flow with production schedules.
- Lead implementation of pull systems with balanced stock levels at each point of use.
- Manage and maintain the Plan for Every Part (PFEP), analyzing volumes, packaging, transportation, and delivery methods.
- Conduct static and dynamic simulations to identify and mitigate congestion and part shortages.
- Oversee material handling equipment from concept through procurement and operational deployment (e.g., forklifts, tuggers, AGVs / AGCs, carts, racks, low-cost automation).
- Research and evaluate new technologies in material handling and warehouse optimization; develop ROI-based business cases.

The Sr. Project Engineer will support manufacturing operations with the introduction of new processing, packaging or facility fixed capital assets. Identify, develop and implement process improvements. They will also serve as a technical resource for designing and implementing technical solutions. Accountable for timely delivery of project engineering deliverables in a multi-functional environment. This could involve the relocation and optimization of the existing fixed asset base and/or the purchase of new fixed assets.

Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical.
- Minimum 8 - 10 years Project Engineering or Management Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting with experience in Food & Beverage, or Pharma manufacturing.
- Strong experience in capital project management utilizing standards and projects delivery through Initiation, planning, and execution.
- Skilled in developing DQ, FAT, CQV, Ramp up analysis, and other project management protocols.
- PE or SrPE, plus PMP certification preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office especially Excel and Microsoft Project, and ability to use CAD to develop and edit system designs and machine layouts. Ability to read electrical schematics, P&ID, construction drawings, and other technical documents.
- Demonstrated successful experience in a beverage, aseptic and/or food manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of financial analysis, relevant business KPI's and CAPEX budgeting preparation and tracking within approved budgets.

Responsibilities:
- Supports efforts in conjunction with manufacturing and engineering to develop plans for continual improvement of product and process quality. Ensures that decisions are made based on sound Quality principles and regulatory guidelines.
- Supports/leads failure investigations, using root cause analysis tools, and proposing/implementing systemic corrective actions. Identifies areas of systemic weakness and leads initiatives to implement corrective action. Promotes use of statistical analysis for determination of improvements and provides analyses to support risk mitigation.
- Implement and monitor all procedures and processes as they relate to Quarantine, Hold, Expired, Damages, Return Goods and Recalled product.
- Evaluate proposed changes for design control requirements. Guides engineering/ manufacturing personnel of appropriate qualification, validation criteria.
- Provides routine analysis of performance indicators and identifies trends. Presents this information to management, supervisors and manufacturing operators. Supports/leads initiatives to improve performance.
- Supports/leads teams to update risk management files for process changes. Focus team on implementing capable processes, process controls, and error-proofing measures.
- Collaborates with functional process owners to train, mentor and/or facilitate QMS requirements and continuous improvement.
- Monitoring the in-process quality check on the line.
- Reviews new Batch records and SOPs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- BA or BS Degree in Engineering, Quality Control or related field.
- 5 years relevant experience in Quality Engineering/manufacturing/ production processes.
- Familiarity with industrial automation (e.g., distributed control and PLC-based systems)
- Working knowledge of safety, quality systems, and GMPs is required.

Qualifications and requirements
- Experience in one or more of the following: engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, heating and air conditioning
- Knowledge of health and safety compliance
- Manual dexterity and physical stamina, lift heavy objects, and walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Possession of a valid driver’s license
- Where required by State/Local law, maintain ASE Certifications in Steering and Suspension (A4), Brakes (A5), Heating Air Conditioning (A7), Electrical (A6), Engine Repair (A1), Manual Drive Train and Axles (A3), Engine Performance (A8), and Automatic Transmission/Transaxle (A2)
