Position Summary

Sterling is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician with strong machining, fabrication, and design experience to join our team. This role will support engineering and production initiatives by designing, fabricating, and modifying components, fixtures, and tooling in a machine shop environment. This position supports manufacturing operations by investigating inventory discrepancies, material inaccuracies, and transactional breakdowns across the manufacturing floor and stockroom. The role functions as a “CSI-style” investigative resource—identifying what went wrong, why it happened, when it occurred, where the material is, and how to prevent it from happening again. This is a hands-on, analytical role requiring strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in an unstructured environment. .

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies across manufacturing and stockroom environments
• Support discrepancy investigations, including engineering change break-ins and material variances
