Our Principal Embedded Real-Time Software Developer/Integrator is a technical position that works in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment to architect, design, implement, test, debug, and deploy Software for Firmware (FPGA) and Hardware solutions that meet current and next generation autonomous avionics systems’ needs. Working with a cross-discipline team, the candidate must have experience developing, testing, and integrating software for edge or embedded devices and/or subsystems (like telecom, medical, IoT, automotive, or robotics) where hardware operation, time critical function, functional reliability, mission assurance, and safety might be major concerns.
The successful candidate will work with Product Owners, Chief Engineers, Management and other IPT members using Lean and/or Agile practices to ensure that embedded software is designed and developed to reliably operate toward the intended functions.
This position is within the Effectors Center of the Software organization, and is an onsite role located in Tucson, AZ.
What You Will Do
- Architecting, designing, implementing, testing, and debugging integrated embedded real-time software within heterogenous systems composed of firmware and hardware.
- Working within a cross-discipline team to define, refine, and improve product concept, implementation, testability, and guaranteed, measurable quality.
- Teaching, coaching, and mentoring less experienced staff.
- Contributing to proposals as well as preliminary and critical design reviews.
- Ability to obtain program access.

Qualifications You Must Have

- Experience using embedded Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) (e.g., Green Hills, Integrity, Wind River VxWorks, Linux, etc.).
- Experience developing complex systems involving the integration of hardware, firmware, and software.

- Familiarity with rate monotonic theory, practice, and limitations.

This is an onsite role and located in Tucson, AZ.
What You Will Do:
Utilizing strong mechanical hardware design experience and knowledge with ruggedized structures, interconnects, cooling, and electronics integration
Supporting all phases of programs from capture and concept development through production
Developing technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems related to the entire product life cycle including proposal, design, manufacture, integration and test of electronics for multiple military programs
Supervising the definitions of mechanical outline and construction details, component selection and specification, mechanical and assembly drawings, electrical/RF layout, and delivering the final technical data package
Employing transition-to-production practices with the ability to lead a design release into production
Tracking, reporting, and meeting cost, schedule, quality, and performance requirements for the finished product, including Earned Value (EV) management and Estimate at Complete (EAC) inputs
Preparing proposal inputs on behalf of the product area
Providing technical conscience, challenged with making sure the product and process meet appropriate standards and requirements while helping to remove roadblocks

About the Job:
- Lead reliability and maintainability initiatives across all production and utility equipment to improve uptime, safety, and product quality.
- Design, refine, and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs, including vibration analysis, infrared scans, lubrication standards, and oil analysis.
- Oversee failure analysis through RCA, 5 Whys, and FMEA, driving corrective actions that improve long-term equipment performance.
- Observe manufacturing processes daily and identify engineering opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain all reliability documentation including maintenance plans, procedures, equipment histories, BDAs, and change management records.
- Ensure all work aligns with food safety requirements, GMPs, PMO, and Horizon Organic quality standards.
- Train and develop assigned maintenance technicians in troubleshooting, equipment repair, lubrication standards, and safe work practices.
- Teach electrical and mechanical troubleshooting techniques (PLC, ladder logic, schematics, PID).

About You:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, degree in engineering, business, food science, or a related field preferred.

- Familiarity with core plant equipment and systems, including pumps, hydraulics, electrical systems, boilers, compressors, and chillers.

My Client, a mid-size turnkey Engineering, Procurement and Construction specialist providing critical infrastructure services to the energy and utilities markets across the USA, is looking for a Project Field Engineer with a Civil background for a project in Delta UT.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field and will be responsible for supporting electrical substations construction teams. To be considered you must have completed 3 full projects at least and have a stable work history. This role requires a deep understanding of civil engineering principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of projects. The position is required to provide technical guidance and support to the client's construction teams, as well as be the teams direct link back to the broader engineering team on the project.
Duties
