SUMMARY: Promote the sales of segmental retaining walls, pavers, and related landscape products by establishing and maintaining accounts with landscape contractors, retail centers, and home and garden centers; by consulting with engineers and architects, state and local governmental agencies, home builders, and homeowners; and by attracting new customers and servicing current customer needs. This is a full-time salaried role, and hours may fluctuate based on business needs with some Saturdays required during peak season.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

• Promotes a culture of safety.
• Develops customer prospect lists; pursue sales/marketing activities to obtain new customers and to increase the level of business from existing customer accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bars Changeover Specialist (Lean Manufacturing Changeover Specialist)

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Duration: 24+ Months

Position Overview:

• This role will focus on changeover improvements for the Chewy Bars platform. They will work with platform teams, floor teams, site FSQ and department management to understand (a) the size of the prize around changeovers and (b) opportunities to improve changeover time while maintaining effectiveness and safety. A successful individual in this role will use tools such as process mapping, value stream mapping, 5 whys, fishbones, and apply a learning mindset to identify opportunities outside of cleaning practices to reduce CO % on the system.
• When not in changeover, the changeover specialist will be working to learn more about our equipment, how we currently clean it, and why we use the process we currently use. They’ll also be identifying opportunities for improvement and developing experiments for actual changeover time. During changeovers, they’ll be working with the team on the floor to execute experiments, agree on success, and following up immediately with process changes (as is reasonable and feasible). As you can probably guess, this person will have a highly flexible schedule to enable this work.

Key Accountabilties:

• Changeover Reduction Ownership – identify opportunity in current changeovers to improve changeover practices, to include:
• Identify longest lead items
• Develop process standard to run
• Work with team leads to allocate resources more efficiently
• Develop pre-changeover prep strategy
• Teach and coach methodology to treat changeovers just like production, with scheduling, resource allocation, attention to issues, and overall urgency
• Develop best practice clearing for longest lead items

• Think outside the box – how does your dentist clean your teeth? How does a carwash clean your vehicle? Ever watched a car detailing video on YouTube? What can we take from how cleaning is done elsewhere to implement safer, faster, and/or more effective cleaning HERE?

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (Engineering/Technical preferred) w/ minimum 5 years of related manufacturing experience OR HS Diploma w/ minimum 10 years of related manufacturing experience
• Working knowledge of data systems including manufacturing systems for Asset and storeroom management, Quality information tracking, ERP, and Safety and Environment management (*** systems used: MAXIMO, MQIS, INSQL, and GSTEMS).

Job Description:

• The Manufacturing Engineer supports manufacturing data analysis, reporting, and verification, and assists with tech transfers and MSAT lab activities as needed.
• The role focuses on Stage 3 Process Validation through a robust Continued Process Verification (CPV) program, including monitoring process performance trends, assessing sources of variability, and ensuring manufacturing processes remain in a sustained state of control.
• Additional responsibilities include the design, modification, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and processes, as well as engineering planning, scale‐up activities, process improvements, and validation.
• The engineer conducts equipment and system evaluations, performs troubleshooting to resolve technical issues, and generates or reviews key engineering and manufacturing documentation (e.g., SSPD, SOPs).
• The role also collaborates with cross‐functional teams to support process changes, equipment qualification, and implementation of new technologies.
