Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:


  • Respond to calls dispatched to you in a safe, timely manner. Provide roadside assistance in a safe, professional manner that is free of accidents, injuries and damage.
  • Communicate with dispatch in a professional, informative manner as it relates to information necessary to document your status in servicing a call as well as accurate ETA's when requested.
  • Professionally and safely perform emergency road service duties as may be dispatched to you, such as, but not necessarily limited to:
  • Perform lockout procedures for customers who have locked their keys in their car
  • Perform damage free towing
  • Perform accident towing and scene clean-up
  • Jumpstart vehicles whose batteries pass the load test and are only discharged and unable to start the vehicle. If assigned AAA battery service test equipment you are expected to test every call for a bad battery and then educate customer regarding AAA battery service program.
  • Daily inspects the truck for safety, organization and related equipment, tools, rigging inventory
  • Complete and turn in pre-shift inspection prior to beginning duty each day
  • Immediately reports tools or equipment damaged or missing;
  • Safe driving behavior is a must. Obey all traffic laws, drive defensively, always wear your seat belt, remember our 4-second following rule, minimize backing and left turns.
  • Trucks are kept clean inside and out; maintains the truck(s) fuel tanks half full at all times; Maintains truck fluid levels according to manufacturer standards and notes quantities added on the pre-shift inspection sheet.
  • Maintains the storage yard in a safe, clean and orderly manner. Ensures that all trash must be properly disposed of and not left in the truck or on the ground. Secures the storage yard when leaving.
  • All other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Compensation

  • Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $6,200–$7,340

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Emergency Medicine; prior ER physician or emergency medicine resident experience preferred
  • MD or DO degree with board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine
  • Proficiency in EPIC EMR (Epic experience preferred)
  • Current ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
  • Self-sufficiency in emergency procedures: intubation, central line placement, chest tubes, lumbar punctures, FAST ultrasound exams
  • Ability to manage multiple ED patients and work collaboratively with advanced practice clinicians (APCs)

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, timely emergency care to a diverse patient population in the Emergency Department
  • Perform advanced emergency procedures independently and safely
  • Use EPIC EMR efficiently for patient documentation, orders, and care coordination
  • Collaborate with surgical, specialty, and inpatient teams as needed for seamless patient transitions
  • Supervise, mentor, and support APCs and ED staff during shifts
  • Ensure effective triage, disposition, and throughput to maintain ED flow
