Job Title: Hardware Technician
Location: Novi, MI
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Hardware Technician to support hardware setup, maintenance, and testing activities . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electronic hardware installation, troubleshooting, and diagnostic tools, and will work closely with engineering teams to ensure efficient and safe operation of hardware test systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, wire, and configure hardware test benches in accordance with engineering specifications and safety standards
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of test bench components and related equipment
- Collaborate with engineering teams on hardware integration, diagnostics, and test setup activities
- Maintain and manage inventory of tools, hardware components, and test equipment

Required Qualifications

CNC Machinist - Lathe
A Snapshot of Your Day
Join Our Team as a Horizontal
Lathe Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist where your skills will be
utilized to manufacture large generator shafts for the power generation
industry. These shafts can be up to 46 feet long and weigh as much as 275 tons.
Emphasis is placed on the ability to adhere to all safety requirements, follow
engineering drawings (blueprints) and interpret and execute manufacturing
processes per specific work instructions and validate your work utilizing
electronic quality control documentation.
CNC Lathe Machinist
responsibilities will involve performing precise setups, preparing steady rests
with the proper bearings (shoes), working with licensed crane operators to
precisely load the shaft, attaching drivers and then aligning the workpiece in
the lathe. Work instructions are provided electronically with easy-to-use
features to record notes, ask questions and communicate with your peers as it takes
numerous shifts to fully machine a generator rotor shaft. Communication is key.
You will collaborate with your technical support team on how processes can be
further improved which include both machining techniques and ability to record
critical to quality (CTQ) dimensional features. There is an expectation to
share knowledge, resolve issues, and add your own learnings and experiences to
the knowledge base of the lathe team. We are an organization with a focus on
constant improvement via collaboration and ingenuity. We value the intellectual

How You’ll Make an Impact
- Semi-finish and finish machining of large
electrical generator rotor shafts up to 275 tons made from alloy steel
forgings. - Setup and alignment rotor forgings using highly
capable steady rests to ensure precision and stable machining processes.
Operation of various large scale CNC lathes such as a state of the art Tacchi
CNC Lathe with an 18-meter length (59 ft) and multiple large scale CNC Lathes
with varying capacities. - Interpretation of engineering drawings (blueprints),
electronically supplied comprehensive work instructions, and quality control
documents to ensure accurate machining and error free results. - Inspection of work during various machining
stages using advanced measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers,
indicators, electronic runout software, and gauges to verify the conformance of
machined features to engineering drawing requirements. - Participation in continuous improvement
initiatives through application of the 5S methodology within a Lean Production System. - Provide mentorship of employees in the Siemens
Energy Apprenticeship Program, sharing your own technical expertise and providing
fundamental guidance. - Maintenance of records, logbooks, charts, and
initiation of electronic or manual reports as required.
What You Bring

High School Diploma or GED equivalent is
required

At least 4 years CNC lathe operations,
preferably involving steady rest supports. Experience in manual turning is a
plus.
- Less experience is acceptable if accompanied by
having completed a 2-year degree from an accredited machinist training program
with a focus on CNC machining. - Familiarity with CNC controls such as Siemens,
Fanuc, Mazak, or other machine controls. - Minimum of 2 years of experience using basic
measuring instruments and gauges. - Proficiency in interpreting G and M codes and
understanding of principles of CNC machine operation. - Strong ability to interpret complex drawings,
charts, and tables, and to use precision measuring tools effectively. - Willingness to obtain fork truck and crane
licenses through Siemens Energy’s internal certification programs. - Ability to obtain an ACT® WorkKeys® National
Career Readiness Certificate (Silver Level or higher) as part of the pre-hire

The Electro-Optics (EO) department is responsible for requirements decomposition, detailed design and production support of the EO Sensors/Seekers, including the detectors, cryogenic systems, and structures making up the sensor/seeker subsystems. Marketplace Platform Lead
Job Overview
The Marketplace Platform Lead is responsible for driving the end?to?end technical architecture and implementation of the enterprise Data Marketplace platform. This role spans stakeholder engagement, architectural definition, integration design, and hands-on leadership throughout implementation. The ideal candidate is a seasoned technical leader with deep experience designing integration patterns, building scalable platforms, and guiding engineering teams through complex cross-system solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead stakeholder meetings to gather business requirements, align on platform objectives, and clarify workflows and user journeys.
Conduct tool evaluations, build scoring frameworks, and make recommendations on platforms, vendors, and integration technologies.
Define end-to-end Marketplace architecture, including data flows, APIs, domain models, integration strategies, and platform components.
Design and lead the implementation of integration patterns, including API-based integrations, event-driven patterns, workflow orchestration, and cross-system interoperability.
Develop technical designs, architectural documents, and standards for Marketplace workflows, user flows, and extensibility patterns.
Provide hands-on architectural guidance to engineering teams throughout solution design, development, and delivery.
Oversee technical quality, scalability, performance, and security across Marketplace components and integrations.
Collaborate with product, engineering, data, and security teams to ensure compliance with enterprise data governance, privacy, and reliability standards.
Lead technical reviews, drive design decisions, and ensure alignment across cross-functional stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
8+ years of experience in software engineering, platform development, or technical architecture roles.
Strong expertise in designing and implementing integration architectures, including REST/GraphQL APIs, event-driven patterns, synchronous/asynchronous messaging, and workflow engines.
Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native solutions (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Proficiency with API design, messaging systems, and enterprise integration frameworks.
Experience defining technical architecture, data flows, and workflow designs for complex platforms.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs, user flows, and actionable engineering plans.
Demonstrated leadership in guiding engineering teams through architectural decisions and implementation.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical partners.
Experience evaluating and scoring platforms, tools, or vendor solutions.
Solid knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, observability, and security best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building or leading a Data Marketplace platform.
Familiarity with workflow orchestration platforms, rules engines, BPM tools, or catalog management systems.
Experience with enterprise identity systems (OAuth, SAML, SSO), access governance, and data privacy frameworks.
Background working with enterprise data platforms, data governance, or cross-domain integration patterns.
Prior experience leading architectural governance or serving as a platform architect in an enterprise environment.

In the role of Buyer II you will be responsible for purchasing components and maintaining an open line of communication from a variety of suppliers as well as working cross-functionally within the company on topic such as component issues, costing or invoicing concerns, NMR's and receiving inspections, and ECO's. The Buyer is responsible for continuously working with suppliers to improve on-time delivery and work to continuously improve raw good turns and look for cost reduction opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Execute standard purchasing processes and strategies including procure-to-pay definition and optimization
- Incumbents at this level have the authority to purchase at the most favorable price consistent with quality, quantity, delivery and other factors, raw materials, equipment, machinery and/or supplies for the operation of the organization
- Participates in the selection of vendor sources and has considerable latitude in determining acceptable price
- Plan and maintain optimal level of inventory using plan for every part (PFEP)
- Manage supplier on time delivery (OTD) performance, maintain system data integrity and measure performance on related key indicators (examples: past due purchase orders, open PO acknowledgements, PO expedites, non-conforming material return cycle time, and supplier invoice resolution)
- Proactively identify, communicate, and assist with resolving issues that delay material deliveries
- Support direction and strategies regarding supplier demand forecasting, supplier capacity planning, supply base inventory management, supplier replenishment and procurement transactions
- Recommend cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis, alternative sourcing, step pricing for volume discounts, and vendor evaluation criteria
- Requisition major purchased items and coordinate timely processing of those parts finished outside the company. Establish good working relationships with suppliers and internal customers
- Coordinate engineering change order (ECO) activities with suppliers and internal support functions
- Work with Corporate Strategic Sourcing department to identify key and preferred suppliers for key categories of spend that support business unit and corporate objectives
- Act as SAP Super User within functional area as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Associates Degree in related field OR equivalent experience
- 3 years of purchasing, planning or related experience in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management
- Association for Operations Management (APICS) Certification
- Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM)
- Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP

JOB DUTIES
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for fabricating, installing, inspecting, testing, operating, repairing and maintaining all types of electrical, mechanical and electronic equipment in a safe and orderly manner as directed by a Maintenance Supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
- Five (5) years industrial electrical maintenance experience.
- Formal Apprenticeship or equivalent trades training is desirable.
- Vocational or high school graduate or equivalent.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The tasks listed are the most physically demanding tasks required of the Maintenance Electrician position.
Standing - worker stands on concrete, rock, dirt or equipment (frequent basis)
Walking - worker is walking on concrete floors, rock, or dirt during the shift (frequent basis)

- Lifting - required to lift various tools, parts, and equipment such as an electrical testing and measuring equipment, conduit, ladders and scaffolding, vibration analyzers, soldering equipment, metal cutting and forming machines, hoisting and rigging equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must demonstrate the ability to comply with all Century Aluminum and plant PPE requirements and safety protocols.
- Must possess the skills and abilities to work autonomously while conducting routine electrical tasks.
- Familiar with the handling, operation and safe use of all types of electrical equipment including motors, generators, transformers, rectifiers, switches, circuit breakers, relay, control equipment, communication equipment, electronic and fluid controls, power generation, transmission and distribution system, instruments, panel boards, replacement parts and supplies, wire and cable, insulating materials, solder, paint, etc.
- Safe and efficient use of electrical maintenance tools and equipment including electrical testing and measuring equipment. Conduit bending and threading equipment, ladders and scaffolding, vibration analyzers, soldering equipment, metal cutting and forming machines, hoisting and rigging equipment. Hand and power tools common to the trade.
- Read and work from blueprints, sketches, charts, manuals, wiring and schematic diagrams, and other information and instructions. Maintains records and makes reports as necessary.
- Fabricate, install, troubleshoot, dismantle, repair, assemble, inspect, test, maintain, lubricate and operate all electrical and electronic equipment and components, air conditioning equipment, fluid controls, cranes, lighting systems and battery powered equipment.
- Use burning, cutting, welding, soldering, and brazing equipment as required.
- Operate cranes, mobile equipment, and erects and disassembles scaffolding in conjunction with repair work.
- Paint in conjunction with repair work.
- Actively participate in crew and plant safety programs.
- Assist in warehouse parts and inventory control.
- Assist in the upgrade of PM's and lubes through planning.
- Participate in out-of-schedule working hours, i.e.; fill-ins, breakdowns and overhauls.

SPECIFIC DUTIES FOR SHIFT MAINTENANCE WORKERS
- Exercise extreme caution while working alone on many tasks
- Assist other maintenance shift workers throughout the plant in repair efforts to minimize call-ins of day shift personnel
- Assist assigned crew with execution of planned activities such as PM's, lubes, or standing work orders as assigned by the maintenance supervisor
- Understand and activate the "Maintenance Help Chain" as necessary to prevent excessive production interruptions
- Prioritize work requests or have the Potline Supervisor prioritize requests in the event of multiple requests simultaneously
- Assess non-routine breakdown situations and recommend necessary resources when help is required
- Provide accurate feedback to the appropriate maintenance personnel regarding turnover information on breakdowns and trouble calls
- Practice established maintenance process techniques at all times, some examples include accurate and detailed information on work orders, applying parts removal tags on rebuild items, immediately return to stock warehouse issues that are not needed, proper coding of emergency work orders, all stock issues are charged to work orders
