As an Assembler Installer for Cable Controlled Systems, you will be pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in the installation and assembly processes. Your expertise will be essential as you perform critical tasks such as reaming, riveting, and setting cable tensions using a tension meter, all while adhering to precise specifications. Position Responsibilities:
Perform pickup, rework, authorized changes, and functional checks on work typically installed or assembled by lower classifications.
Use a tension meter to set cable tension according to specifications.
Conduct reaming and riveting as necessary to complete work assignments.
Report job handicaps, such as errors in parts, materials, or assembly procedures, following shop procedures.
Select appropriate parts, materials, and tools, and work with blueprints, assembly pages, and work orders to install and adjust cable-controlled systems in the aircraft.
Review bar charts or automated timelines to determine job assignments and obtain necessary drawings.
Locate work areas using drawings or paperwork that specify airplane and section numbers.
Verify kitted parts against installation plans and bill of materials to ensure they are correct and free of defects.
Obtain parts from the Parts Control Area if they are not pre-picked, ensuring they meet specifications.
Drill, ream, and countersink holes in parts/assemblies per specifications, using appropriate tools.
Disassemble parts and deburr holes to prepare for fastener installation.
Use solvents to clean surfaces prior to sealing or assembly, and apply sealants, alodine, primers, adhesives, and special finishes as required.
Install cable control pulleys and rig control cables according to drawings and specifications.
Check and adjust actuator motors for full travel of flight control systems using power sources and hand tools.
Clean the work area and ensure the removal of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and submit completed jobs or in-process checks to inspectors as required.
Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:
Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.
Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.
Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants.
Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards.
Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions.
Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties.

Basic Qualifications:

- Assemble Product by referring to the Engineering Drawings The assembler will refer to Bill of Material's, sales / assembly drawings, and master comments from the QAD system and correctly interpret them. Assembler will evaluate product for correct performance and visual characteristics.

Job Summary:
The Production Assembler works under close direction of senior personnel performing assigned assembly processes to manufacture Crane Aerospace & Electronics products in accordance with military and/or other assembly standards using visual aids, verbal and/or written instructions.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to assemble and install parts and hardware on wafer fabrication equipment (WFE) in a fast-paced, Lean-manufacturing cleanroom environment. This role involves following computer-based work instructions, using hand tools and fixtures, and working collaboratively to meet production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble WFE using hand tools, torque wrenches, fixtures, and other equipment.
- Read, interpret, and navigate work instructions, schematics, and Cell Fusion procedures.
- Work effectively in team settings to maintain workflow and meet production timelines.
- Provide flexibility for changing priorities such as rework and pilot builds.
- Verify correct part delivery and perform visual inspection of all components prior to installation.
- Assist with audits by visually inspecting components and verifying checklists.
- Complete assigned tasks by confirming work accuracy, verifying Cell Fusion completion, and providing written descriptions of work performed.
- Maintain consistent alignment with company core values.
Safety Responsibilities
- Complete all required safety training and follow all safe-work practices.
- Lift up to 35 lbs safely and utilize ergonomic tools and pads when needed.
- Follow all cleanroom protocols and use appropriate PPE.
- Adhere to Lockout Tagout policies and procedures (LOTO & ZEST).
- Use hoists, lift tracks, gantry cranes, and other lifting tools as required.
- Perform Risk Management By Walking Around (RMBWA) inspections and report or escalate safety hazards promptly.
- Respond quickly to unsafe practices and escalate unresolved safety concerns to appropriate leadership.
Communication Expectations
- Communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Provide timely updates to supervisors and team members via email, phone, or in person.
- Participate actively in meetings and training sessions.
- Identify and report production issues promptly.
- Suggest process improvements to relevant teams.
- Communicate system status effectively during shift pass-downs.

- Push/pull assembly dollies requiring approximately 40 lbs of force.
- Navigate diagnostic software and distinguish wire colors.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Flexibility for changing priorities, overtime, and rework assignments.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Skills & Qualifications

Prepress Washroom/Assembler
LOCATION: Columbus, WI
SHIFT: 3rd (11pm-7am)
SUMMARY: To prepare and stage press or laminator jobs. Prepress personnel are used in any capacity needed to stage items at any machine. They may retrieve and prepare cylinders for press run and after the press run, clean the cylinders and store them. All these functions must be performed in the safest, most effective and efficient manner while adhering to established SOP's and quality standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Actively participate and embrace in the SPOT Safety Program fundamentals and adhere to all safety guidelines and rules to aid APC's efforts to achieve a zero-accident rate.
- Participate as a Subject Matter Expert in developing, understanding, and following Standard Operating Procedures and or training documentation.
- Print and understand each job's Job Jacket, Print Specification, and Manufacturing Specification and take to the press.
- Retrieve daily production schedule that identifies which job will run, quantities, priorities, etc. Interpret and act upon information.
- Detect, report, and resolve all missing or substandard machine parts.
- Use an automated storage system terminal to retrieve and return cylinders and anilox to storage.
- Assemble and transport print cylinders and aniloxes between printing press and prepress departments.
- Place cylinders on assembly table and install the gears and journals. Install the pans, applicator pipes, end shields, splash guards and cylinders into the carriage units.
- Return the units to prepress, remove the parts, clean up the cylinders, and store them back into the storage system after a job has run.
- Aid on press set-ups as needed. Assist miscellaneous housekeeping and cleaning responsibilities.
- Complete required reports and paperwork. Use a computer terminal.
- Perform required cleaning tasks - some daily, weekly or monthly requirements.
- Obtain Power Industrial Truck license(s).
- Complete PSM training and be able to perform all work in the washroom.
- Effectively communicate with coworkers throughout all shifts.
- Attend and participate in all company mandated meetings.
- Business travel may be required.
- Any other duties as assigned.
