JOB DESCRIPTION:

• The EHS Administrator will work mainly with the Environmental, Health and Safety team on ongoing projects, while spending time supporting other functional areas on miscellaneous administrative tasks.
• The person in this role will get hands-on experience working in a Manufacturing environment, while providing support for ongoing process improvement.
• This is an opportunity for an individual to get exposure and familiar with various departments and activities which have a worldwide presence.

The main functions of the role include:

• Maintain compliance standards by updating Safety Data Sheets (SDS), procedures and process documents as required.
• Document all safety and environmental incidents as they are sent in, following through with recording corrective actions taken.
• Timely data entry on any and all Safety Risk Assessments that are completed by the teams.
• Working with plant supervision to perform Toxic Risk Assessment based on active Chemical inventory.
• Miscellaneous forms of data entry to keep policy, procedure and data up to date.
• Assisting EHS team in event planning, setup, and breakdown.
• Providing support with filing, photocopying, recordkeeping and organizing information
• Working with EHS to schedule appointments for Employees at Occupational Health Vendor of choice. This could include Hearing tests, Surveillance Physicals, Workers' Comp, etc.
• Organization of "Swag” Inventory (T-shirts, Storage Closets, Filing).
• Utilizing their educational background and communication skills, students will gain the opportunity to work with all departments to resolve issues and step in to assist where needed.
• Management of Training Gaps for the facility. Maintaining databases to record gaps closed and assist in holding management accountable to closing area gaps to help create a skilled and engaged workforce.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate degree Business or related field of study, or currently in a program to complete degree.
• 2+ years Administrative Experience preferred.

• Strong computer skills. Microsoft Suite of product experience including, Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint knowledge required.

As the global senior expert for Chemicals Management & Compliance, you will be the primary compliance advisor for the business in several technical areas, including Dangerous Goods Regulations, Hazardous Materials Transportation and Warehousing, Transport Emergency Response Management and Controlled Products Regulations. Compensation and Benefits

The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) works under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager as applicable) for operational guidance and under the management of the Center Physician for medical issues. The Medical Support Specialist will be familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment. The Medical Support Specialist follows guidance provided by BioLife Medical Affairs and provides center level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS).  

How you will contribute  

• You will determine donor eligibility; to include, proper management of informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).  
• You will evaluate donor reaction(s), which occurs at the facility as outlined in the SOPs. Follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies including the development of Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.  
• You will refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs (as applicable) when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors, or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.  
• You will support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.  
• You will manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER. Refer to EHS guidance regarding employee incidents.  

• You can be a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.  

What you bring to Takeda:  

• High school diploma or equivalent to including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements  
• Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT-Paramedic  

• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification  
• Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy

Position Summary

The Regional EHSS Manager is responsible for leading and implementing environmental, health, safety, and security programs across assigned locations. This role ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations—including DOT, OSHA, and EPA—and drives a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence. The EHSS Manager partners with operations, terminal, and distribution center leadership to proactively identify risks, improve driver and employee performance, and reduce at-risk behaviors.

This role partners closely with corporate, divisional, and site leadership to embed a culture of accountability, proactive risk management, and continuous improvement across all business lines — including terminals, warehouses, maintenance facilities, and transportation operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance & Documentation

· Ensure full compliance with DOT (FMCSA), OSHA, and EPA regulations, including driver qualification, hours of service, vehicle maintenance, hazardous materials handling, and environmental reporting.

· Maintain and audit all required documentation (driver logs, DQ files, medical certifications, incident records, environmental permits, etc.).

· Monitor regulatory changes and update policies, procedures, and training as needed.

Safety Culture & Operational Excellence

Communication & Reporting

• Work closely with the Regional Center of Excellence leaders to verify quality of programs and processes via audit and self-assessment tools
   

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.), or equivalent from four-year college or university is required (preferably in an Environmental Management discipline, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering)
• A master’s degree or equivalent is preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is required
• 3-5 years of working knowledge and expertise in Environmental regulations and maintaining compliance with pertinent regulations is required
• 3-5 years of strong EHS and in OSHA/EPA regulations and reporting experience is required

We are seeking a Safety Engineer for our First Quality facility located in McElhattan, PA.

This position will be responsible for providing technical skills with tactical leadership in the development, operation and support of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies/programs/procedures to instill and sustain an incident-free work environment while ensuring full compliance with all applicable regulatory agency requirements.

Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:

• Promote an action-oriented approach, instilling and exemplifying a strong EHS mindset for all team members resulting in the elements required to achieve and maintain a world class EHS culture.
• Active facilitation or participation in EHS related meetings and training sessions.
• Develops, manages, and implements Environmental, Health, and Safety policies and procedures in compliance with company, local, State, and Federal rules and regulations.
• Serve as an innovative, flexible EHS resource supporting the company/site/location. Participate in decisions on technical, regulatory, and cultural issues related to Environmental, Health, and Safety.
• Participate and/or lead continuous improvement in EHS policies, programs, and procedures.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with all team members, vendors, and customers.
• Participate in and/or lead incident investigations to effectively identify root cause/contributing factors and ensure proper implementation of all corrective actions.
• Ensure required EHS training is complete for all employees, newly hired and/or existing, and maintain training records.
• Provide technical support in the design and owner acceptance approval processes of controls for hazardous working conditions and unsafe activities, ensuring compliance with applicable EHS requirements.
• Be present and engaged with the workforce in their activities to establish and strengthen two-way communication, trust, and confidence in your ability to lead them.
• Facilitate communication of company EHS policies, procedures, and standards with all visitors, including contractors and vendors.
• Plan, perform and/or coordinate industrial hygiene sampling, analysis and interpretation of results in compliance with all applicable requirements for the exposure(s) identified.
• Maintain professional knowledge up to date with existing and proposed changes in applicable federal, state and local EHS regulations and standards.
• Participate in and/or lead the development, implementation, and maintaining of all applicable Safety Management Systems.
• Assist in Worker’s Compensation claims administration and coordination of the Return-to-Work program for injured team members.
• Accurate interpretation and application of Environmental, Health, and Safety codes, standards and related professional references (e.g., OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ANSI, ADA, CCOHS, DOT/IATA, etc.).
• Carry out all administrative responsibilities associated with EHS compliance and program administration.
• Conduct regular walk through EHS inspections to identify hazards, document findings, recommend corrective actions that work within given constraints and verification of completed corrective actions and their effectiveness.
• Understand and administer reasonable suspicion and impairment programs used to conduct drug and alcohol testing, and other applicable standards as they may apply.
• Assist and/or lead in establishing risk management processes aimed at hazard condition control and injury prevention through studying incidents, observed and potential hazard conditions in various completed and planned work environments.
• Display consistent measure of integrity and company culture in all business-related activities.
• Track and trend incident data in Safety Management System.
• Responsible for the use and maintenance of all applicable company related data systems, software, peripherals, etc. to complete tasks as assigned.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Maintain safety data sheets in SDS Online and physical binders and keep GHS label stations stocked.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and experience requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in related technical, scientific, or engineering discipline required and/or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Environmental, Health and/or Safety field in Engineer/Specialist/Generalist role required.
• Self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills required.
• PC proficiency is a definite.
• Thorough understanding of regulatory compliance of all local, state, and federal safety requirements (OSHA).
• Good working knowledge of EPA regulations.
• Ability to recognize hazardous situations and recommend corrective actions.
