Title: Compliance Specialist - (Data Engineer 2)

Location: Rapid City, South Dakota

Details: 24-month contract with ongoing need, opportunity for direct hire, fully onsite role

Pay Rate: $23.70 – 25.50/hr. based on benefit inclusions

Job Summary

This role supports compliance and regulatory initiatives by partnering with a substance compliance team to respond to customer requests, perform material substance analysis, and support sustainability efforts. The position offers a fast?paced, highly collaborative environment with exposure to compliance processes, data analysis, and enterprise tools that support product and material governance.

Responsibilities

• Receive, track, and manage substance compliance customer requests to ensure timely and accurate responses
• Conduct substance analysis using established material specifications and governing standards
• Support chemical management activities by maintaining metrics and reporting on customer requests
• Collaborate with project leads and team members to prioritize workload, address changing requirements, and respond to evolving standards
• Provide end?user input to support development and enhancement of compliance tools and databases (e.g., material content systems, specification libraries, compliance databases, and analytics platforms)
• Work within a locally based team that supports a broader global compliance organization

Years Of Experience And Education

• 2–4 years of relevant professional experience
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required
• Internship experience accepted if completed in a relevant field

Master's candidates or over 8 years of experience will be considered overqualified

Our hotel, which features 216 rooms, 12 meeting rooms, and over 16,000 square feet of event space, is located right next to historic Falls Park and the Levitt Outdoor Amphitheater. Our 20+ team members report to the Director of Food and Beverage.

The ideal candidate holds 1+ years within restaurants as a server. Prior customer service experience preferred. Ability to work the required shifts. Previous banquet experience a plus!

Shift Pattern: Full Availability AM/PM shifts (weekdays, weekends, holidays as needed).

Pay Rate: $7.00 per hour plus tips

  What will I be doing?

As a Banquet Server, you would be responsible for delivering and serving food and beverage items to guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Set banquet tables to meet function specifications
• Deliver and serve food and beverages, including, but not limited to, meals, condiments, and accompaniments
• Ensure menu knowledge
• Remove china, glassware, silverware, etc., from tables at the conclusion of the meal period and deliver to the stewarding area
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Respond to guest requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner
• Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships
• Assist others with side work, including, but not limited to, cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.

About The Position

The Operations Program Manager will lead a PMO project management team, ensuring the successful execution of site efficiency programs across several manufacturing facilities at Astec. The project team is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing manufacturing projects, capital expenditures, and facility efficiency initiatives. The incumbent will assist our facility business partners in defining a strategic roadmap of 3-5 years. The Operations Program Manager will also effectively monitor and present program updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members. Responsible to coach, mentor, and supervise the PMO coordinators and specialists in daily assignments and activities and ensure that professional program management techniques and tools are used to manage programs and projects.

Key Deliverables

• Architect and oversee the multi-site project portfolio to ensure 100% alignment with the Infrastructure Solutions (IS) strategic roadmap and ROI targets.
• Establish and enforce rigorous portfolio governance standards to ensure data integrity across all budget, resource, and schedule reporting.
• Maintain absolute control over "Planned" data (budget and ROI projections) to ensure the PMO remains the single source of truth and prevents unauthorized data manipulation by decentralized leads.
• Serve as the primary change agent for project management maturity, driving process adoption within a high-speed manufacturing culture.
• Synthesize complex project data into actionable program-level insights for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and site business partners.
• Direct the hiring, performance lifecycle, and professional growth of a high-performing project management team.
• Foster a collaborative environment with Engineering, Operations, and external vendors to de-risk complex facility efficiency programs.

Key Activities & Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of project managers and coordinators.
• Oversee the project management team portfolio to ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Prepare and present program-level reporting and dashboards for upper management.
• Analyze current project management processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance enterprise maturity.
• Implement new procedures and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Work closely with engineering teams, Astec representatives, vendors, and various internal departments to achieve program goals.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide continuous feedback to team members.

To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:

• Experience leading a portfolio of projects with a combined value exceeding $10M in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• 7–10 years of end-to-end project management experience with a proven track record of managing direct reports.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate high-stakes planning workshops and steer cross-functional matrixed teams.
• Proficiency in Project Management Software (e.g., Project Insight, Asana, Microsoft Project, etc.) and the Microsoft 365 suite.
• Professional certification such as PMP, PgMP, or PfMP is highly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SUMMARY: 

Design Engineer II is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of new manufactured products and proprietary equipment as well as improvement to existing products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Originates and/or develops product designs relating to defined customer needs as well as proprietary products in new to market applications; collaborates with Sales and Management to develop new business opportunities. 
• Utilizes conventional engineering principles to provide comprehensive engineering studies of components, weldments and assemblies suited to meet detailed product performance specifications. 
• Identifies, evaluates, and recommends materials and production processes to optimize product performance and manufacturing efficiency.
• Plans and directs product testing requirements, if not previously specified by the customer.
• Perform design for manufacturability reviews, Bill of Material management, and cost evaluations.
• Provide engineering support to Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, Marketing, and Management Teams.
• Maintain detailed management of engineering documents, designs, evaluations, and related materials.
• Coordinate with Production and Operations teams to ensure the timely completion of development projects.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Proficient creating parts, assemblies, and drawings with design software i.e. SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD
• 4 or more years of Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience with ERP management software is required.
• Experience working in welding, sheet metal fabrication, hydraulics or plastics molding is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Position requires the ability to react, move about, install, remove, replace, and lift objects up to 50 lbs. Must be able to exchange information verbally, detect and observe situations, and work with others. Position may require the use of automobiles, ATV’s, test equipment, mechanical and electrical devices, tools, and computers. At times you will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment when entering production areas and working near moving equipment and machinery. May be exposed to noise, dust, and cold/hot temperatures when working in production or prototype areas.
