Material Supervisor

About the Role
We are seeking a Material Supervisor to lead material operations supporting shipping, receiving, and plant-wide production. This role is ideal for a hands-on, people-focused leader with experience in high-volume manufacturing or warehouse environments, preferably within automotive.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise material technicians supporting shipping, receiving, and production
- Ensure on-time shipments and support daily production schedules
- Assist the Materials Manager with budget, staffing, and overtime control
- Oversee shipping documentation, truck schedules, and material flow
- Support inventory control, cost savings, and material layout improvements
- Coordinate packaging, rack storage, and customer requirements
- Promote safety, housekeeping standards, and facility compliance
- Complete special projects and documentation as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or college degree
- 3β5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or warehouse operations
- Automotive or automotive supplier experience preferred
- Knowledge of supply chain systems (WMS, SAP, CMMS, GMOS, etc.)
- Strong communication, organizational, and Microsoft Office skills

- Ability to work in office and plant environments
- Valid driverβs license

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support machining and assembly operations at a highβvolume automotive manufacturing plant. This role focuses on process engineering, machining support, continuous improvement, and quality execution across production lines. The ideal candidate has handsβon machining experience, strong analytical skills, and experience supporting daily production activities in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
- Support manufacturing process engineering activities across machining and assembly lines
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity (JPH, FTT)
- Apply engineering and analytical methods to improve manufacturing processes and products
- Create and maintain process sheets and work instructions supporting quality methods
- Support daily production meetings, working closely with production and engineering teams
- Investigate quality concerns, develop action plans, and verify corrective actions (internal & supplier)
- Lead and conduct process audits to ensure compliance with Vehicle Operations guidelines
- Participate in tooling improvements, layouts, and equipment readiness with tooling engineers
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
- 2+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience
- Handsβon machining experience (CNC exposure required)
- Experience supporting machining equipment acceptance and readiness
- Direct use of statistical analysis software (MiniTab, QStat, or similar)
- Strong problemβsolving and communication skills
- Experience creating process documentation and quality records
Preferred Qualifications
- Automotive or highβvolume manufacturing environment
- Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma experience
- 8D and 5βWhy problem solving
- Lean tools: 5S, Kanban, Pokaβyoke, Value Stream Mapping
- DMAIC / DFSS methodology
- FMEA, PPAP, DOE experience
- Equipment commissioning and vendor coordination
- Prototype machining and new equipment launch support
