Here is some of what you can expect from being a Pre-Admissions Testing Registered Nurse with us:
- You will serve as primary nurse leading the collaboration of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care prior to admission and procedure/surgery.
- You will be responsible for obtaining patient history and current medications, ensuring nursing assessment is completed and standard of care initiated.
- You will obtain and/or coordinate pre-admission diagnostic testing (EKGs, Labs, CXR, etc.), and analyze pertinent data, communicate findings, and documents information accurately.
- You will initiate and document pre-procedure/operative instruction and discharge teaching, involving patient and family/significant other.
- You may work telephonically or in-person with the patient. This is an onsite role.
What qualifications you will need:
- Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in PACU, Ambulatory, Critical Care/ED.
