What You'll Do

Qualifications

- Completes daily production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishes work results and establishes priorities
- Achieves manufacturing results by appropriately managing labor based on work requirements and communicating clear job expectations
- Develops, directs, and manages production employees and train them to properly utilize all equipment and tools
- Coach and counsel employees while coordinating and enforcing process controls, company policies, programs, and procedures
- Promotes a clean, safe work environment throughout the facility
- Initiates and fosters a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
- Consistently updates and maintains Safe Work Instructions (SWIs) and completes required audits
- Leads, promotes, and supports continuous improvement activities, including the ECO System
- Coordinates and supports training and onboarding for all new employees
- Develops hourly coordinator and employee cross training plans and maintains skills matrices
- Other duties as assigned

- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, or Technology
- 2 -- 3+ years supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to identify OSHA compliance issues and control of hazards
- Ability to lead, motivate and develop direct reports insert team building
- Experience implementing lean manufacturing, 5S and other continuous improvement concepts
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Kronos, ADP, SAP, and other business software/systems preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously

The production supervisor is responsible for the production of baked good, product quality, completion of production order, GMP and HACCP compliance housekeeping. They are also responsible for the applicable production associates on their assigned shift.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain a safe working environment.
- Coach, counsel, train and develop associate’s skills.
- Review sales order and develop a production schedule that will meet demands.
- Schedule associates in order to maximize efficiency
- Lead and motivate associates to maximize productivity and minimize operating costs.
- Ensure that products are produced at an acceptable quality level.
- Drive department compliance with established safety, GMP, and QCP training and ensure compliance with all company policies, plant rules and all regulatory agencies.
- Examines manufacturing equipment to ensure that is works properly and meets all applicable standards and develops a plan for corrective action as needed
- Develops, tracks and maintains training programs related to sanitation
- Participate in and lead LEAN manufacturing activities as needed
- Conduct routine safety inspections to promote associate safety and good housekeeping.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Education and Work History:
High School Diploma or GED, Associates/Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical, Business or other related field preferred. An equivalent number of years of experience in baking or food industry may be acceptable.
Ideal candidate will possess:
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in production, preferably in the food industry or Manufacturing experience required.
- AIB certification a plus.
- Working knowledge of computers, including MS office applications. ADP knowledge a plus.
- Willingness to work varied shifts.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and train associates within a team-oriented environment.
- Must be self-directed and able to work without close supervision - position requires high energy and motivation and a strong desire to drive positive change.

- Computer skills and proficiency, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word is required.
