Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and emergency service in industrial/commercial and residential locations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities as a Journeyman Service Plumber including paperwork, documentation, customer relations, communication, repair and PM schedules.
- Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures and governing requirements.
- Ability to work unsupervised or with limited supervision as a Service Plumber.
- Must have valid driver's license and a safe driving record and be able to work in the Chicagoland and NW Indiana corridor.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, detail oriented and highly motivated.
- Availability to be perform on-call duty rotation nights and/or weekends as required.
- Basic computer skills (electronic documentation via I-pad and I-phone).
Qualifications:
- Current State of Illinois or City of Chicago Plumbing License.
- Member of Local 130 with service experience.
- 10 Hour OSHA Training (30 Hour OSHA Training a plus).
- RPZ Certification a plus.

What you will do:

As the HVAC technician, you will you will perform maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure proper functioning and efficiency, such as filter replacement, troubleshooting and replacing fan motors, and more while performing routine jobs. Responsibilities include repairing commercial 5-40 ton and residential ton HVAC systems and assisting with replacement work 1-40 ton, refrigerant piping, drain piping, wiring of systems, and charging of systems. Read and interpret prints. In this role, you must be able to complete assigned work orders, use the work order system to document problems, meet schedules and timelines, and work with the team to support the university's overall needs. Additionally, you must be able to contact your supervisor when emergencies exist, or assistance is needed, be on call to handle emergency situations, and follow all SCAD and OSHA policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate an ability to understand the principles of air distribution, refrigeration cycle and correct problems, an understanding of components and what function they serve, and electrical components and control systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required with a technical school degree in appropriate area

You will excel at building and maintaining positive relationships with customers from first contact to closing the deal.
Responsibilities:
- Drive new sales for the company in a professional manner consistent with the company’s integrity and customer-care standards.
- Develop and execute sales plans to meet sales goals.
- Initiate and build trusting relationships with potential customers, respond to their needs and identify solutions, generate quotes and close orders.
- Develop, estimate, present and secure service maintenance agreements on equipment, controls, and systems.
- Create and submit estimates of work for service repairs and small projects.
- Manage service contracts, service calls, change-orders and submittals for small projects.
- Be responsive to customers’ needs and work with other AMS disciplines to provide a complete pack of services to our customers.
Qualifications:
- College degree or equivalent work experience in the Mechanical or construction industry.
- 5 to 10 years of HVAC industry sales experience.
- Extensive sales experience with proven successful relationship building and selling service contracts and repeat business, strongly preferred experience in HVAC service or related industry.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written to varied levels of audiences.
- Ability to work independently, a self-starter who is both goal-oriented and customer-oriented.
- Demonstrated competency in closing deals through effective negotiations.
As an HVAC Senior Service Technician, you will perform service and maintenance tasks on commercial and / or industrial HVAC equipment. Ability to travel, as needed, for projects.
Compensation
- Wage Range Starting at: $40.00+/hr. based on qualifications & experience
Job Duties
- Perform assigned HVAC maintenance, troubleshooting and repair tasks safely in commercial and industrial settings on various types of air cooled chillers, WSHP’s, cooling towers, split systems, packaged rooftop units, heat pumps, pneumatic, electrical control systems, and other mechanical equipment.
- Complete required electronic documentation daily on a handheld device
- Work independently, and as part of a team, to complete assigned tasks within an allotted time frame

Requirements
- 10 or more years of experience installation, repairing, and troubleshooting commercial HVAC equipment
- Preferred experience with RTU, air handlers, split systems, chilled water, and boiler systems
- EPA Universal certification
