Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Responsible for all aspects of general ledger accounting, including preparation, review and approval of monthly journal entries, monthly reconciliations of subsidiary ledgers, monthly bank reconciliations, monthly accruals and reversals, fixed asset accounting.

• Monitor and enforce internal control to ensure integrity and accuracy of financial information.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards including GAAP, FAR and other applicable guidelines.

• Responsible for monthly revenue recognition and analysis and approval of revenue formula according to ASC 606.

• Prepare and publish monthly and yearly financial statements and other management reports as needed.

• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget and assist in preparing annual budgets as needed.

• Responsible for monitoring the unbilled account to ensure billing is timely.

• Prepares and reviews financial information as required for compliance reporting to various government agencies including ICE reports and SBA annual reporting.

• Assist with preparing audit schedules and financial data for annual financial statements audit.

• Provides management with timely reviews of the organization’s financial status and progress in its various programs and activities within the Corporation.

• Prepares financial variance analysis for project management including identifying trends and anomalies.

• Mentoring and training of lower-level staff.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications • Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree • Level of Experience Requirements: Two years of diversified accounting experience including project, government contracting and consolidated financial statements.

• Five years Deltek Costpoint accounting system experience in a multi–company environment or similar ERP system.

Segal McCambridge, a national litigation firm, is seeking an experienced legal assistant to join our Austin office supporting several attorneys in our insurance practice group. The ideal candidate will provide high-level administrative support to focused on defending first-party lawsuits for large national insurance carriers. This position offers exponential opportunity for someone looking to perform challenging work in a collaborative, team environment within a well-established, but growing firm.

The candidate’s duties will include:

  • Supporting high volume, civil defense matters pending in state and federal courts;
  • Creating, editing, formatting and finalizing a wide variety of documents including correspondence, memoranda, discovery, pleadings, all types of motions and briefs and other legal documents;
  • Filing and serving legal documents in all TX courts;
  • Communicating with courts, opposing counsel, clients and vendors;
  • Processing vendor invoices and prepare check requests;
  • Preparing expense reimbursement forms;
  • Maintaining attorney calendars, scheduling court appearances, depositions, meetings and deadlines;
  • Opening new files and ensuring proper indexing and filing of original legal documents and electronic files;
  • Assisting attorneys in preparing for trials, including organizing exhibits, coordinating witness schedules and drafting trial-related documents;
  • Making travel arrangements and appointments for attorney(s) and coordinating meetings, depositions, etc.;
  • Entering billable time entries into the firm's timekeeping system accurately and in a timely manner;
  • Working collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment, assisting attorneys and supporting colleagues as needed;
  • Performing general administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning, managing office supplies, answering phones, and all other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Desired skills and knowledge:

  • Some prior experience as a legal assistant or secretary in a civil litigation setting preferred, but not required;
  • Experience with TX State and Federal court procedures and rules;
  • Understanding of civil litigation procedures, court rules, and legal terminology;
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure;
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in drafting, editing and proofreading legal documents;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Windows Applications, Internet search engines and electronic court filing and service applications;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality;
  • Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate and follow instructions effectively;
  • Independent judgment required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload.
