Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Cinematic Tech Designer to prototype and build high-end cinematic gameplay experiences. This role involves collaborating with level designers, cinematics director, and cinematics designers to design, prototype, and implement complex, AAA-quality cinematic gameplay sequences. The ideal candidate has a strong background in interactive and scripted cinematic experiences, with an emphasis on design and technical implementation within a game engine. Should be someone who can guide a project from start to finish, taking the sequence from rough design to finished, polished experience. Candidate should be able to work quickly, creating rapid prototypes to test and troubleshoot high-level design, before using blueprints or scripting to create the final version.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Collaborate closely with level designers, cinematics designers, and cinematics director to design, prototype, and build AAA cinematic gameplay experiences;
• Ensure that design and implementation are done in a systemic and modular way that is able to be used by designers in other departments;
• Quickly produce and iterate prototypes based on project needs and feedback;
• Design and implement miscellaneous other gameplay systems as needed;
• Provide backend system support to ensure smooth integration and functionality;
• Optimize and debug systems to ensure a seamless player experience;

Qualifications

We Expect You To Have:

• Professional experience working on tech design or tech art, and high-end cinematic gameplay experiences, for at least five years total;
• Tech-centric skill set with a passion for cinematics;
• The ability to quickly produce and iterate on prototypes;
• The ability to troubleshoot and debug complex systems, and to solve problems that arise on the border between cinematics and gameplay;
• Proficiency in blueprints and scripting languages;
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment;
• Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of what makes gameplay fun and engaging.

Even Better If You Have:

• Experience working with Unreal Engine;
• Experience working on AAA game titles;
• Experience working on 3rd person ARPG style games;

Additional Information

• Hybrid role based in El Segundo (Monday, Wednesday & Thursday on-site);

• The estimated base pay range for this role is: 130-160k USD.

Mary Square is looking for a detail-oriented Technical Design Intern to join our rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate would describe themselves as a team player that is organized, efficient and passionate about technical design. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their design career who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to creating beautiful apparel collections. The Technical Design Intern supports the technical design team in ensuring garments meet Mary Square’s fit, construction, and quality standards. This role will assist with measuring samples, preparing tech packs, organizing fit sessions, and maintaining technical documentation throughout the product development process.

This is a hands-on learning opportunity for someone interested in the technical side of apparel development, providing exposure to fit sessions, garment construction, and factory communication from concept through production.

• Assist the technical design team in preparing and updating technical specification (tech) packs.
• Support measuring samples and prototypes and help record measurements for fittings.
• Assist in preparing garments and documentation for fit sessions.
• Take notes during fittings and help update tech packs with fit comments and revisions.

The Role

As a Design Intern at Absolutely Ridiculous, you'll be hands-on in the creative heart of the fastest-growing sports and lifestyle brand in the world. Working directly alongside our founder and Creative Director in addition to our design team in-house and remote, you'll support the full design lifecycle—from initial concept through production-ready tech packs—across our hard goods, soft goods, and marketing channels. 

What You’ll Get To Do

• Assist in the development and review of tech packs for new product releases, ensuring design intent is accurately translated for manufacturing partners
• Support hard goods design across our core product lines—baseball and softball gloves, sliding mitts, and protective accessories — with attention to construction, materials, colorways, and brand consistency
• Contribute to soft goods design for headwear, apparel, and lifestyle products, helping bring our art-forward aesthetic to wearable categories
• Create and adapt marketing graphics for product launches, social media drops, and brand campaigns—including assets for the brand's signature sneaker-culture drop model
• Collaborate with the creative team on concept development for upcoming collections and collaborations
• Help maintain and organize digital design files, ensuring brand assets are well-structured and accessible
• Participate in product review sessions and offer creative input during ideation phases

Who You Are

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, Fashion Design, or a related field
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop required; InDesign a plus) Familiar with tech pack creation or eager to learn the process; understanding of product construction basics (leather goods, stitching, hardware) is a plus
• Deeply curious about the intersection of art, culture, sport, fashion, and music — you understand what makes a product feel like more than just equipment
• Detail-oriented with a strong eye for color, composition, and craftsmanship
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and excited to work in a fast-moving, creative startup environment

• Architect, build, and maintain a robust application management and loan repayment platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability across front-end and back-end systems
• Leverage full-stack engineering skills to contribute alongside team and build a polished & accessible end-user experience that tens of thousands of students and program administrators love, and develop best of breed API on reliable infrastructure for our partners to leverage
• Set best practices for code quality, system design, and security while mentoring engineers and conducting code reviews
• Oversee 2-3 engineers' day-to-day operations with the support of the Director of Engineering

• Experience working closely with Product teams to define technical requirements and Compliance teams to ensure regulatory adherence in financial services or similarly regulated environments.
• Ability to clearly articulate technical trade-offs, align stakeholders, and make informed decisions under ambiguity.
• 4+ years working in a SaaS startup regularly building and owning the complete E2E technology stack for Web Application (Frontend + Backend + Cloud + CI/CD)
• Deep experience with a combination of the following technologies:
• Javascript & TypeScript (React, NextJS, Recoil (other state management libraries)), Python (Django, Flask, FastAPI, etc.), HTML, CSS
• Databases: SQL (we use PostgreSQL)

The Technical Design Manager, RTW will lead the technical design process across Ready-to-Wear categories, ensuring the highest standards of fit, construction, and garment quality throughout development and production. This role is responsible for managing the Technical Design team while also maintaining hands-on involvement in the development process, particularly within Cut & Sew, and supporting additional categories as needed.

The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, collaborative, and experienced in managing multiple seasons of development simultaneously. This individual will partner closely with Design, Product Development, and Production teams to translate creative concepts into well-executed garments that meet brand standards, fit expectations, and production timelines.

This role plays a critical part in maintaining consistency, efficiency, and technical excellence across the product lifecycle while helping to refine processes and support the continued growth of the technical design function.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Technical Design team for RTW
• Independently manage technical design workload for Cut & Sew and support team on other categories as needed.
• Lead and manage fittings to ensure alignment with design vision and garment functionality.
• Manage Proto, SMS and bulk tech packs/ fittings flowing to vendors for multiple seasons at a time.
• Deliver complete, accurate, and timely fit comments via tech packs, including necessary points of measure, annotated sketches, and digital images.
• Ensure consistent and proper fit throughout development by providing vendors with image-driven fit corrections, referencing vendor patterns, and applying best practices for pattern shape and balance.
• Organize and delegate seasonal storage and maintenance of all fit samples.
• Spec and evaluate samples prior to fittings. Delegating and collaborating with the team as necessary.
• Manage timelines to support seasonal development calendars and on-time deliveries
• Implement and refine technical design processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Analyze recurring fit or production issues and implement long-term solutions
• Additional responsibilities as necessary.

Technical Skills & Abilities

• Strong proficiency in identifying and communicating precise fit corrections.
• In-depth knowledge of garment construction standards and manufacturing processes.

THE PURPOSE:

The Manager, Technical Design - Denim leads the technical design process for denim, ensuring products meet the brand’s fit, construction, and quality standards from concept through production. This role partners closely with Design, Product Development, and Production to translate creative vision into technically sound garments while managing timelines, resolving technical challenges, and maintaining consistency across collections. The Tech Design Manager also develops and leads the technical design team while ensuring operational excellence and alignment with brand standards.

THE ROLE (what you are accountable for):

• Lead the technical design process for denim products from concept through production, ensuring fit, construction, and finishing align with the design vision and brand standards.
• Partner with Design to translate creative concepts into detailed technical specifications, including measurements, patterns, and construction details.
• Create and maintain comprehensive tech packs, including specifications, construction notes, and quality requirements for vendors and factories.
• Lead fit sessions and communicate adjustments to Design, Merchandising, Product Development, and Production teams.
• Collaborate with Product Development and Production to ensure appropriate fabric, trim, and wash selections meet quality and performance standards.
• Troubleshot technical issues during development and production, including garment fit, fabric behavior, shrinkage, and construction challenges.

• Proficiency with technical design software such as Adobe Illustrator, CAD, or Techpacker
• Experience working with global vendors and factories across the production lifecycle
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills

ADDITIONAL ROLE INFORMATION:

• Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this role is $120,000 – $150,000. This is a full-time, exempt position. This range represents the low and high ends of the expected base salary range for this role based on the applicable location. True Religion reasonably expects to pay within this range in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
