Delta Electronics (Americas) Ltd. is seeking a power electronics engineer with expertise in power semiconductor module packaging to join our advanced Milan M. Jovanović Power Electronics Lab, located in Research Triangle Park, NC. Power Electronics Packaging Engineer:
Responsibilities
· Propose new concepts to enhance power semiconductor module electrical and thermal performances
· Design, build and verify selected new package concepts and technologies using state-of-the-art multi-physics simulation tools
· Research new approaches to improve the following aspects in the power modules: parasitic components, e-field distribution, insulation, partial discharge, thermal performance, die attach, interconnects, mechanical fatigue, etc…
· Translate application requirements into power semiconductor module specifications
· Interact with chip makers and material suppliers
· Build and maintain technical competency in power electronics packaging technologies
Skills and Experience
You should demonstrate knowledge, understanding and experience with the following topics:
· Standard industry power module technologies
· New packaging technology trends, including but not limited to substrates, die attach, interconnects, encapsulation, insulation, direct cooling, etc
· Power electronics packaging materials and characteristics
· Power electronics concepts (topologies, building blocks, parasitic effects, EMI, losses, partial discharge, etc…)
· Power semiconductor devices (SiC MOSFETS, SiC diodes, Si IGBTs, etc)
· ANSYS simulation (Maxwell, Q3D, etc)

Responsibilities:
As a front-line representative of the Delta Sonic Team, Delta Technicians are responsible for power-washing vehicles prior to entering the car wash and thoroughly cleaning the interior of vehicles by vacuuming and wiping down all interior components. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: sweeping, mopping, picking up trash, cleaning restrooms, removing snow, and performing light maintenance. Delta Technicians will also have the ability to earn performance-based incentives and tips upon certification. One of the most important responsibilities for this position is to achieve 100% customer satisfaction by ensuring Delta Sonic's standards for car quality. Delta Technicians can enjoy working in the carwash and/or detail shop, depending on the location's staffing needs. The pay rate for this position is $16.25 per hour.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and test printed circuit boards (PCBs) containing both through-hole and surface-mounted components
- Perform SMT/SMD chip removal and replacement using soldering irons and hot-air rework stations
- Remove and replace through-hole components
- Identify and recognize electronic components and IC packages
- Perform trace repair and board-level troubleshooting
- Use diagnostic tools such as digital multimeters (DVM), oscilloscopes, and other electronic testing equipment
- Conduct testing and inspection to ensure repaired modules meet quality standards
- Assist with TIPM module testing, repair, and refurbishment
Must-Have Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of electronic components and circuits
- Hands-on experience using soldering irons, hot-air rework stations, and bench tools
- Experience removing and replacing surface-mounted components
- Familiarity with DVMs, oscilloscopes, and other common PCB testing tools
- Ability to perform PCB trace repair

Principal Accountabilities
