Purpose

As a foundational member of our AI Center of Excellence, you will serve as the data science lead for enterprise AI initiatives, architecting and deploying AI solutions that make a meaningful impact across our national retail footprint. The Data Scientist Lead will work with other members of the AI COE and business leadership to identify and execute the highest-impact initiatives, own the data science lifecycle, from hypothesis and feature engineering to model validation and performance monitoring; bridging the gap between cutting-edge AI capabilities and practical business applications.

You’ll Be Successful With

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years in Data Science or Applied AI roles, preferably in retail or a customer-facing industry.
• Proven track record of moving models from development into production which deliver measurable impact to the business.
• Expert proficiency in Python and SQL. Comfortable with version control.
• Expertise in supervised/unsupervised learning and modern frameworks (e.g. scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow).
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs, RAG architectures, prompt engineering, or AI agent development.

Your Day Consists Of

• Buy vs Build leadership. Evaluate 3rd-party AI platforms and partnerships. Serve as the technical lead in vetting vendor methodologies, guiding the in-house vs external decisioning.
• Partner with business leadership to identify high-value AI opportunities, defining technical specifications and success metrics that align with enterprise strategy.
• Design, develop, and deploy custom machine learning models (impacting merchandising, commercial, labor, digital, etc.) within the Databricks environment.
• Lead experimentation design, including A/B testing and causal inference, to validate model performance and measure true incremental business lift (ROI).
• Collaborate with data engineers on feature development and with AI developers to wrap models into production-grade APIs and applications.
• Partner closely with the Customer Insights team to ensure model outputs are optimized for consumption within Power BI/DAX, turning complex predictions into actionable insights.
• Establish and enforce MLOps standards across the org, including model versioning, automated retraining, and drift monitoring.
• Serve as the primary ML subject matter expert for the broader Data Science & Insights team. Provide active coaching to analytics leaders, empowering them to identify ML-applicable use cases and effectively incorporate predictive outputs into their own functional workstreams.
• Contribute to the enterprise AI governance framework, ensuring ethical AI practices, data privacy compliance, and model transparency.
• Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to leadership and cross-functional partners in clear, compelling formats.
• Be compliant with all appropriate privacy and security protocols.

THE ROLE

• You will be responsible for computer vision and multimodal model research, building and development for the company's agentic AI product across imaging centers and hospitals

Pinterest is seeking a Sr. Engineering Manager to lead the team that builds the serving and deployment infrastructure for all AI/ML models at Pinterest. Systems include:

• 
  
• Ultra-high-performance C++ model inference engine for production recommendations and content ranking systems. TorchScript + CUDA Graph models on GPU inference, serving 500+M inferences/second.
  
• Production GenAI & LLM model inference stack for emerging use cases.
  
• Model routing, deployment, monitoring. Kubernetes-based provisioning.
  
• Feature fetching, caching, and logging
  

What you'll do

• Lead the team to deliver continual improvements in advanced model architectures, cost-efficient resource utilization, and AI/ML developer productivity.
  
• Set technical direction for the team based on company and org priorities
  
• Coach and develop talent on the team.
  

What we're looking for:

• 
  
• Experience managing platform engineering teams with many cross-organizational customers
  
• Experience leading the development of large-scale distributed serving systems
  
• Experience with AI/ML inference technologies (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow) for online serving at Web scale
  
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience.

Company’s Early Clinical Development (ECD) team is looking for a Software Engineer to design and build next‑generation applications that integrate generative AI into clinical development workflows. You’ll work with AI scientists, full‑stack engineers, and cross‑functional partners to deliver innovative, user‑centric tools that support Clinical Science, Operations, Medical Writing, Regulatory, and Quality teams.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and deploy software that integrates LLMs and AI‑driven capabilities
• Build intuitive front‑end interfaces and scalable backend services
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs and deployment pipelines
• Write clean, well‑documented, testable code; participate in code reviews
• Stay current on AI/ML advancements and evaluate new technologies
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to embed AI into clinical development tools
• Monitor production systems and optimize performance

Who You Are

• Full‑stack engineer with strong experience building AI‑enabled applications
• Deep understanding of modern AI/LLM capabilities, limitations, and best practices

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS, Engineering, Math, or related field
• 5+ years full‑stack development experience
• Expertise with Vue.js or React, plus backend frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask, Next.js)
• 2+ years building or deploying AI/ML applications
• Experience with REST APIs, prompt engineering, and containerized workflows (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong automated testing skills (unittest, jest, Playwright)
• Familiarity with Agile development
• Experience with AWS, Snowflake, and scalable system design
• Experience integrating LLMs, RAG systems, or chatbots

Preferred

• Experience with LLM fine‑tuning, AI agents, HuggingFace, LangChain, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
• Experience with Office.js add‑ins, WebSockets, JWT, or CRDTs (Yjs)
• Background using NLP/LLMs on clinical text or knowledge of clinical development
