Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising the collections activities in one or more lines of business (commercial, residential, roll-off and container delivery pick up). The Operations Supervisor oversees drivers, helpers, and other members of the management team and works with the Operations Site Manager to implement tactical initiatives to drive functional excellence and budget achievement. The Supervisor ensures adherence to all accident prevention programs and leads operations to ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, operating, regulatory, accounting, ethics and other standards. Responsibilities include the execution and delivery of Safety, Customer Experience, and Efficiency while supporting a culture of employee engagement.

• Lead drivers to exceed productivity goals and expectations for all routes.
• Create, modify, and improve routes to maximize density and improve efficiency.
• Reduce route hours to the extent possible with techniques such as service conversions and container upsizing.
• Understand and provide leadership to achieve and communicate about safety goals and objectives.
• Work to remove unsafe conditions or situations from drivers routes.
• Work with the sales team to identify and eliminate any unsafe conditions on new or existing customers, seeking service alternatives where appropriate.
• Partner with the maintenance department to ensure all equipment remains in working order and in compliance with safety standards.
• Oversee effective safety and accident prevention programs to ensure all reasonable actions are taken to prevent accidents and injuries; ensure a safe and productive work environment for all employees; implement and maintain an effective safety program.
• Engage assigned employees in active participation to instill a culture of safety by demonstration of a personal commitment to safe operations and active personal outreach to operational employees.
• Observes drivers on the road and corrects safety problems on the scene while documenting violations.
• Documents and maintains records required by regulatory agencies such as the Department of Transportation (DOT)
• Reviews and audits documentation related to route operations daily (e.g., DVIRs, driver time and attendance, open tickets), following up where appropriate.
• Perform route vehicle inspections.
• Conducts on-the-scene incident/accident investigation; assists drivers in preparing accident reports, and safety violations documents.
• Conduct daily shift safety briefings at company depots.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• The Driver position may be required to lift up to 50 pounds,
• Must be able to work outdoors in all kinds of weather.
• Drivers must be able to physically mount and dismount the truck throughout the duration of the workday

• Must have a valid drivers license.
• 3+ years of experience in transportation supervision or similar lead role.
• Proficient knowledge and understanding of DOT rules and regulations.
• Extensive knowledge of New York City roads and highways for route planning and support.
• Current Drivers License and no disqualifying violations on MVR.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Intermediate Word and Excel skills for correspondence and reporting duties.
• Intermediate MS Outlook skills for regular daily communication with coworkers and departments
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.

WE ARE CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR A 2ND SHIFT MACHINE OPERATOR AT NEW OXFORD CONTAINER FACILITY

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Set-up rails, print, and die cut section on Flexo accurately in accordance with proper setup techniques.

Inspect all dies before and after run to ensure that any necessary repairs are made before the next run.

Ensure all bolts for cutting dies are in place and tightly secured.

Monitor box quality, including, but not limited to, loose liner, warp, correct size, and print. Check rolls for damage.

Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.

Assist Operator, Assistant Operator and Utility with job duties on the machine.

Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data.

Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs.

Complete annual food packaging safety training.

Report any discovered food packaging safety risks or concerns.

Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.

Adhere to production schedule and make recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals. Report any unusual scheduling issues to Supervisor.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma/GED.

Ability and willingness to work overtime on short notice, both during the week and weekends.

Ability to work in manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.

6 months experience working on a Flexo machine.

The Manager, Retail Finance is responsible for all retail-financing related activities for Briggs Industrial Solutions and its customers, including quoting deals, managing the leasing process from credit to funding and delivery, as well as the end of term process. The Shuttle Driver/Tour guide is responsible for following safety protocol, schedules and pre-determined routes. The driver will also act as the tour guide throughout the trip. The vehicle used is open air and tows a trailer through narrow roadways. The shuttle holds 62 passengers, is electric and runs off batteries.

This job is primarily responsible for working at a facility that loads and unloads barges and trucks. This is a general laborer position that performs a wide variety of duties that are based on the daily needs of the operation; may include cleaning and repair of barges.

In this job, you will:

Actual responsibilities will vary depending on daily needs and type of facility.

• Fully participate in the company Safety Program and attends daily pre-shift meetings.
• Perform all duties within compliance of OSHA, company safety, and environmental regulations (ISO where applicable); including wearing appropriate PPE for task being performed.
• Perform deckhand responsibilities e.g., reading drafts, opening/closing lids, tying off barges, etc.
• Perform all barge loading duties e.g., loading barges to meet draft and quality requirements and oversees deckhand(s). Note: Generally the duty of the most highly qualified person(s).
• Perform duties to transfer, load and move grain to appropriate location, where applicable.
• Perform duties required to maintain grain quality while being stored and/or transferred.
• Complete documentation timely, accurately and legibly.
• Perform general clean-up including sweeping, shoveling, washing, painting and other general housekeeping responsibilities.
• Perform preventative maintenance and/or repairs, where applicable.
• Dependent on facility and location, may be responsible for any variety of the following; unloading barges, cleaning barges, movement of product to storage, loading of trucks using heavy equipment, loading of rail, loading of products to required specifications; operating, running, monitoring, and shutting down dryer; operating a variety of heavy equipment.

• As directed, carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently. Responsibilities may include:
• Develop and maintain knowledge of the commodities handled at the location and comply with company policy and government regulations pertaining to commodities.
• Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, which may require sampling, loosening large nuts, opening hatches, and attaching and/or detaching flexible hoses.
• Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks using heavy or light duty machinery/equipment. May include bulk and or packaged material.
• Control and monitor all load out functions.
• Understand and operate automated scale/dump systems.
• Conduct and properly record daily, weekly and monthly maintenance tasks including but not limited to lubrication of pumps, valves, and loading arms. Inspect in-use equipment looking for seeps and leaks of process equipment.
• Monitor and maintain quality of inventory (may include blended, bulk or packaged product).
• Deliver products such as fertilizer, chemical, seed, feed and others to customer sites.
• Keep all work areas in a clean, orderly and safe condition. Conduct regular housekeeping duties such as sweeping, shoveling, power washing, scraping and cleaning up spills. Complete appropriate record keeping.
• Perform grounds maintenance including snow removal.
• Perform warehouse work including driving loader, loading/unloading inventory, forklift operation, and general maintenance.
• Promptly report any customer complaints, repair or maintenance needs, or safety concerns to supervisor.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned to ensure facility operates smoothly and customers receive excellent customer service.

• Knowledge of Operations and/or Business Operations
• Must meet minimum age requirement

• Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile
• Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• CDL license or ability to attain one with Hazmat endorsement preferred
• Agriculture experience preferred
• Forklift certiification preferred
