Day-to-Day Responsibilities

The Role We Want You For
Ventana is currently seeking a Cost Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be assisting in the development and management of the project financial strategy. You will be working directly with the project management team (Direct report to Director of Cost Management) to manage the project budget, costs, change orders, billings and forecasts. The Specifics of the Role
- Works with all project disciplines to ensure understanding of total project cost budget allowances and targets.

- Works closely with the accounting department to ensure the correct integration of all information needed to ensure accuracy in billings, payment applications, change orders, direct cost, labor cost, etc.

- Responsible for cost engineering, cost estimation, cost analysis, and control activities for projects with significant non-routine requirements or for proposal estimating activities which require a moderate degree of technical skill and experience.
- Ensuring quality, accuracy, consistency, spend profile, performing change management, and transparency in all cost management deliverables.
- Take ownership of the cost control function and ensure integrity of the cost and forecast reporting
Requirements

Essential job functions, duties and responsibilities:
This position is responsible for independently coordinating and overseeing teams responsible for the process of receiving, inventorying, assembling and installing AV equipment on job site locations. This position requires a variety of duties including construction labor as well as installation, troubleshooting and repair but not limited to:
- Directing the actions of others and be able to complete installations independently

Job Description
Job Title: Security Systems Lead Installer (3-4 Day Project)
Duration: Monday March 16th - Wednesday March 18th (possibility of Thursday as well)
Pay: $40-$55/hr.
Project Overview
We are seeking an experienced Security Systems Technician for a fast-tracked installation project in St. Louis. This project involves a full setup of IP-based security surveillance and networking infrastructure. We need someone reliable, efficient, and technically sound to ensure a clean, professional finish. We are a growing start-up and this project could lead to additional part-time / full-time job opportunities down the road.
Key Responsibilities
* Cable Infrastructure: Pulling and routing low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6) through commercial/residential ceilings or conduits.
* Hardware Installation: Mounting and positioning IP security cameras for optimal coverage.
* Networking: Installing and configuring basic network hardware (Switches, NVRs, Routers) to bring the system online.
* Termination: Precision termination of RJ45 connectors and ensuring all lines are tested and labeled.
Requirements
* Experience: Minimum of 6 months of proven experience in low-voltage cabling, IP camera installation, or network setup.
* Technical Proficiency: A virtual skill assessment may be requested to ensure you have demonstrated knowledge of networking and security hardware.
* Tools: Must have basic hand tools (crimpers, strippers, drill, etc.).
* Professionalism: Ability to work independently and maintain a clean job site.
Schedule
* Hours: Mon-Wed Overnight - Starting at 7pm (standard shift is 8-10 hours per night), possibility of returning Thursday for additional clean-up.

- Preferred certifications, such as OSHA 10.
