Early Research & Development Scientist – Tissue Pathology & Digital Imaging

About the Role

We are seeking an Early R&D Scientist with strong hands-on experience in tissue pathology and staining techniques to support innovative work in the diagnostics and assay development space.

This role combines wet lab research, digital pathology, and data-driven experimentation, offering the opportunity to contribute to early product development, process optimization, and cutting-edge imaging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform tissue-based experiments, including:
• Tissue sectioning
• Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
• Staining methods (primary & special stains)
• Design and execute experiments using sound scientific principles and Design of Experiments (DOE)
• Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and drive process improvements
• Utilize digital pathology and image analysis tools to evaluate tissue samples
• Document all lab activities in compliance with GMP/GLP standards
• Prepare technical reports, protocols, and presentations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate findings to stakeholders
• Support early product development and innovation initiatives, including AI-enabled workflows

Required Qualifications

• PhD (entry-level) OR Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience with:
• Tissue sectioning and pathology workflows
• Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and staining techniques
• Strong understanding of experimental design and data analysis
• Experience maintaining accurate lab documentation (ELN preferred)
• Knowledge of GMP/GLP environments

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with digital pathology / image analysis tools:

Position Summary

The Senior Marketplace Logistics Manager will play a key role in building and managing relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and vendors that utilize SHEIN’s platform to deliver products and provide total logistics solution to merchant. This individual will work closely with internal teams, such as business development, merchant management, and product management, to optimize logistics processes and improve overall fulfillment performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in logistics vendor management, data-driven operations, and marketplace or e-commerce logistics solutions.

Job Responsibilities

Logistics Partner Management

• Build, manage, and develop relationships with 3PLs that utilize SHEIN’s vendor services to support marketplace operations.
• Conduct regular performance reviews with logistics partners, evaluating service quality, cost-effectiveness, and on-time deliveries.
• Provide guidance and education to logistics partners and 3PLs on U.S. transportation compliance standards and regulations.

Fulfillment Solution Development

• Partner with the seller business development team to identify and implement efficient logistics solutions tailored for marketplace operations.
• Optimize logistics and shipping models to minimize fulfillment costs for merchants while ensuring service quality and timeliness.

Performance Optimization and Issue Management

• Collaborate with the business development team to identify and resolve logistics performance challenges, such as delays and quality issues.
• Develop and execute improvement strategies to enhance fulfillment performance and improve the customer experience.

Monitoring and Analytics

• Work closely with the data team to develop logistics monitoring systems, dashboards, and performance scorecards for tracking partner and platform-level efficiency.
• Conduct regular business and performance reviews with logistics vendors, leveraging data insights to identify opportunities for improvement.

Creating Merchant Fulfillment Standards

• Work collaboratively with the Merchant Management and Governance teams to establish clear and standardized fulfillment and delivery criteria for all merchants and vendors.
• Mitigate risks related to pickup and transportation by establishing and enforcing operational protocols and clearly defined expectations for logistics vendors and merchants.

System Optimization (TMS)

• Partner with the Transport Management System (TMS) Product Manager team to continuously enhance and adapt TMS capabilities to meet the evolving logistics needs of the marketplace.
• Ensure the system effectively supports order allocation, seamless information flow, and transparency in logistics data across the platform.

Job Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
• 8+ years of proven experience in logistics vendor management, logistics operations, or logistics procurement. Prior experience in developing and managing marketplace or e-commerce logistics solutions is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in analyzing logistics data and implementing data-driven strategies to optimize supply chain performance.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong ability to interpret complex data and turn insights into impactful, actionable outcomes.
• Outstanding stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and build strong partnerships with vendors and internal teams.
• Familiarity and hands-on experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS) or other logistics data systems is highly desirable.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Chinese is preferred and will be considered an advantage for the role.

What you'll do:

• Applies advanced actuarial knowledge to complete broad and complex projects (e.g., evaluates and selects methodology to price new discount/endorsement for countrywide rollout; develops alternative methodologies to comply with complex regulatory requirements; selects metrics and designs processes to monitor model performance; translates business problems into technical requirements and performs required analysis to develop solutions; independently runs catastrophe models and interprets and communicates results to support critical business activities, while enhancing the control environment as needed.
• Utilizes advanced actuarial, mathematical, or statistical techniques to augment actuarial work product.
• Leads special actuarial projects, such as the development of new methodologies or reporting tools.
• Trains new team members on the theory and mechanics of relevant actuarial methodologies.
• Applies deep understanding of products supported, stakeholders’ needs, and industry trends to solve unstructured business problems.
• Identifies and anticipates compliance gaps and process improvements; recommends and develops solutions to mitigate risk.
• Represents Actuary in cross-functional efforts.
• Develops written communication and presentations that effectively convey data-driven solutions to broad audiences, including cross-functional executive leadership. 
• Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

• Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related Actuarial/business/analytical experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
• 4 years of Actuarial or analytical business experience.
• Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) Credential.
• Demonstrated advanced skills with relevant actuarial, mathematical, and statistical techniques and approaches used to support fact-based decision-making.
• Advanced knowledge of data analysis tools, data visualization, developing analysis queries and procedures in Python, R, SQL, SAS, BI tools or other analysis software, and relevant industry data & methods and ability to connect external insights to business problems.
• Demonstrated experience communicating complex solutions and analysis to both technical and nontechnical audiences, including executive leadership.

What sets you apart:

• Experience performing Loss Reserve analysis and working in Loss Reserving software (i.e. ResQ, Arius etc.).

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $127,310 - $229,160.

Role Summary

We are seeking an AI-Driven Quality Engineering (QE) Solution Architect to lead the design and rollout of next‑generation, AI-enabled QE solutions powered by platforms such as GitHub Copilot (GHCP), Azure OpenAI, and intelligent automation toolchains. This role will drive RFP/proposal solutioning, lead strategic AI pilots, and deliver tangible quality, velocity, and cost benefits that accelerate client adoption of AI across the account. The architect will work closely with Sales, Delivery, DevOps, and Enterprise Architecture to position differentiated, automation-first QE solutions and enable account mining.

Key Responsibilities:

1. AI-Enabled QE Solutioning (Primary Charter)

• Architect AI-first QE solutions leveraging GHCP, Generative AI, ML-based defect prediction, autonomous test generation, and intelligent test data creation.
• Define AI use cases across the entire QE lifecycle—test design automation, risk-based optimization, impact analytics, and continuous validation.
• Build reusable AI accelerators, prompts, copilots, templates, and solution kits to differentiate QE offerings.
• Evaluate and recommend best-fit AI/QE platforms for client ecosystems including GHCP, Azure OpenAI, Selenium, Playwright, Tricentis, Katalon, and cloud-native DevOps stacks.
• Establish governance for responsible AI usage in QE.

2. Strategic Projects, Pilots & Account Mining

• Lead AI pilots and proof-of-value (PoV) initiatives to demonstrate measurable impact—cycle time reduction, automation uplift, defect leakage reduction, and cost efficiency.
• Drive cross-account AI adoption by identifying areas for modernization, automation, and AI-led productivity improvements.
• Shape new opportunities within accounts through strategic programs, capability showcases, and client workshops.
• Develop account-specific AI roadmaps, maturity models, and transformation charters.

3. Solutioning & Pre-Sales Leadership

• Own QE solutioning for RFPs, RFIs, and proposals, including estimation, delivery models, staffing, and differentiators.
• Create compelling value narratives highlighting AI-enabled acceleration, automation efficiency, and quality cost reduction.
• Represent QE in orals, client demos, and AI capability walk-throughs.
• Build scalable solution blueprints that integrate functional, automation, performance, security, data, and AI-driven validation.

4. Quality Engineering Leadership

• Provide architectural direction across Functional QA, UI/API automation, Performance, Security, and AI-led QE.
• Recommend enterprise-grade QE toolchains optimized for ERP, CRM, API-led, and cloud-native digital ecosystems.
• Drive QE modernization by introducing self-healing automation, autonomous test generation, shift-left testing, and DevOps‑integrated quality gates.

5. Collaboration, Governance & Delivery Alignment

• Work with Delivery, DevOps, Engineering, and Enterprise Architecture to ensure solution feasibility and adoption.
• Ensure seamless transition from solution to delivery including guardrails, scope clarity, and quality governance.
• Align solutions with organizational cost models, margin expectations, and client value realization frameworks.

Required Skills & Experience

• 12–15 years in QE; 3+ years in QE Architecture, AI-led QE, Solutioning, or Pre-Sales.
• Strong expertise with GHCP (GitHub Copilot), Azure OpenAI, AI-based test generation, and enterprise automation frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience leading client-facing AI pilots/PoVs.
• Ability to create high-quality proposal content—estimates, assumptions, solution writeups, value metrics.
• Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder influence skills.
• Experience working with bid teams and large transformation programs.

Preferred Skills / Certifications

• Experience with AI/QE in ERP (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite), CRM, MuleSoft/API-led integrations, and cloud modernization programs.
• exposure to performance engineering, application security, and DevOps pipelines.
