Job Details The Personal Lines Producer is responsible for developing and growing a book of business through the sale of personal insurance products including Homeowners, Personal Auto, Renters, Umbrella, Valuable Articles, and other related coverages.
This role focuses on new client acquisition, relationship building, and providing consultative insurance solutions while supporting agency retention and profitability objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Actively prospect and generate new personal lines clients through referrals, networking, inbound leads, and community involvement Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales production goals established by the agency Conduct client consultations to assess individual risk exposures and insurance needs Present coverage options and provide clear recommendations tailored to each household Quote new business with multiple carriers and follow up promptly on proposals Educate clients on policy features, limits, deductibles, and endorsements Cross-sell additional products such as life and health insurance when licensed Build long-term client relationships that drive retention and account rounding Maintain accurate client and prospect data within the agency management system/CRM Follow agency underwriting guidelines and carrier appetites Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after the sale Participate in agency marketing campaigns and sales initiatives Assist with policy reviews, renewals, and remarketing as necessary Sales Process Responsibilities Gather required client information and documentation Prepare professional proposals and presentations Bind coverage and ensure proper delivery of policies Follow up on outstanding items to complete the onboarding process Adhere to compliance standards and privacy regulations Required Qualifications Active Property & Casualty Producer License (state-specific) 1–3+ years of insurance sales or customer-facing experience Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to explain insurance concepts in a simple, relatable manner Self-motivated with a goal-oriented attitude Proficiency in Microsoft Office and agency management systems Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Professional demeanor and ethical sales approach Interested in hearing more?
