About the Role:

An OTA will treat children's gross and fine motor skills, cognitive abilities, social development, and mastery of self-care routines and activities of daily living.

We serve the beautiful state of Colorado. All our therapists have the freedom to decide the specific locations within the State of Colorado which they serve, as well as the days and hours they work. We do offer telemedicine options for families under specific circumstances. All employees must be located in the State of Colorado upon start date.

What You’ll Do:

Provide play-based, goal-oriented therapy for children with developmental and medical needs under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.

Implement treatment plans designed to help children build life skills, confidence, and independence.

Collaborate with families and caregivers to integrate therapy strategies into daily routines.

Deliver compassionate, one-on-one support in home and community settings.

Communicate effectively and consistently with supervising therapists, team members, service coordinators, translators, and administrative staff.

Assist in documenting progress notes, daily treatment logs, and discharge summaries per OASIS standards.

Maintain HIPAA compliance with all communication and documentation.

Participate in mandatory staff meetings and enjoy optional team bonding events to stay connected and informed.

Documentation Requirements

Treatment notes and discharges must be completed within 2 days of a visit.

Missed visit notes must be completed weekly according to the established schedule.

All notes are reviewed and co-signed by the supervising occupational therapist.

License & Training Requirements

Current DORA and NBCOT certification as a COTA.

Completion of state-mandated continuing education per DORA requirements.

Maintain current CPR certification.

Report any DUI, misdemeanor, or felony convictions or accusations to OASIS.

Join a service oriented, close-knit team providing Functional Family Therapy (FFT), a nationally recognized, evidence-based intervention to children and families in the KCMO area. The successful candidate for this position will receive training and certification in FFT, along with excellent clinical support.



The successful candidate for this position will work well independently, as the position is very autonomous with much flexibility in scheduling sessions. Caseloads are very manageable, as the FFT model supports caseloads of 10-14 families at a time.





WHAT YOU WILL DO:




  • Engages clients and families in a manner that demonstrates immediate responsiveness to family needs and maintains a strength-based relational focus. Persistent outreach efforts may be required.
  • Utilizes the CSS system to document services and to plan treatment according to the FFT model.
  • Utilize other systems required, such as MyAvatar, to manage confidential client information.
  • Monitors progress in treatment and adjusts the phase of treatment as indicated.
  • Demonstrates fidelity to the FFT model by use of the phase system

Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsible for coordinating the delivery of clinical patient care. Collaborates with the Director of Respiratory Therapy in planning, organizing and delivery of services.
