Job Description:

This is considered a senior level technician role. As a Maintenance Technician III, you will work with the maintenance team to maintain and repair conveyance, automation and facilities equipment to support operations uptime and improve reliability of our systems.

Shift: Wednesday to Saturday - 11:00am to 9:30pm

You will...

• Maintain compliance with all safety, food safety, and security standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on assigned conveyors, automation, robotics and ancillary equipment as needed.
• Perform troubleshooting of assigned out of service equipment and correct issues, act as an escalation point for lower level technicians, and escalate to leadership and/or vendors as needed for additional troubleshooting.

You have...

• 3-5 years of experience with conveyor, automation, robotics, and/or refrigeration repair and maintenance including mechanical and electrical operations.

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Mechanical & Controls Technician, capable of installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, minor programming, and repair of electrical, mechanical, and automated control systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Core Responsibilities

• Controls & Electrical Duties: Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems, motor controllers, variable frequency drives (VFD), servo systems, and motor starters. Diagnose PLC alarms and repair or replace sensors, actuators, input/output modules and other control devices as required.

A foundational goal of the program is to train exceptional family physicians to meet the needs of patients, families and communities. This is accomplished through purposeful dialogue about building spiritual, emotional, physical and intellectual capacity in the chaotic world of medicine. The MFMR began in 2019 and graduated its first class in 2022. Currently the program is accredited for 18 (6-6-6) resident trainees. The program has received excellent reviews from each ACGME site visit and inspection, and currently holds no citations. Further, the program maintains outstanding support from senior health system leadership. Administrative duties will account for 0.6 FTE and clinical duties account for 0.4 FTE. Clinical duties are flexible and tailored to your interests. These can include inpatient, outpatient, obstetrics and/or osteopathic manipulation. The program has an Osteopathic Recognition designation by the ACGME. Preference for physicians who can perform and teach osteopathic manipulation but not required.

Meritus Health is committed to growing and supporting medical education at all levels by transitioning to an academic institution. This transition includes development of the Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine which welcomed its first class in July 2025. Meritus also has a new psychiatry residency which welcomed its first class in July 2025. Further GME expansion planning includes addition of a general surgery residency, internal medicine residency, sports medicine fellowship and potential others. Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Maintenance Technician Level III -. The maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance, repairs and improvements of packaging machinery in the Shred and Stick department.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

Level III Responsibilities

-Mechanical: Greasing and changing parts, making movement adjustments to machinery, aligning linear bearings and motors; drilling, grinding and cutting, basic lathe and milling, welding and modifying parts.

-Electrical: Reading schematics, using voltmeters, troubleshooting relay and PLC logic panels.

-Pneumatic: Adjusting flows, change/repair components

-Plumbing: Replace PVC, copper, galvanized and/or steel piping including making modifications

-Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Maximo computer software.

Requirements

*Internal candidates must have been in their current role for at least 6 months and have no active CA's within the past 12 months. *

From your STORY to ours:

Pay: Starting from $34.82hr - $45.40hr

Shift: Night Shift (Currently Hiring)

Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (2-2, 3-2, 2-3)

* Night Shift: 5:50 PM - 6:20 AM

* Facility operates 24/7

* Must be available for overtime, weekends, holidays, and emergency coverage as needed

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

* Operate and maintain ammonia refrigeration systems, boilers, steam, and compressed air systems

* Perform routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs

* Conduct daily ammonia system inspections and rounds

* Support equipment modifications and technical troubleshooting

* Participate in Process Safety Management (PSM) and Root Cause Analysis activities

* Perform maintenance during both production and scheduled downtime

* Assist maintenance technicians and support training of new employees

* Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives

* Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

* Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Education:

* High school diploma or GED required

* 1-2 years of electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience or technical trade certification

* Basic computer proficiency

* Preferred experience with:

Ammonia refrigeration systems

HVAC, compressed air, electrical distribution, and steam systems

* RETA CARO or CIRO certification required or obtainable within 12 months

* Ability to use APR respirators and SCBA

* Ability to perform duties as part of a HAZMAT team

* Wear required PPE including arc flash suits, respirators, and protective clothing

* Work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, or wet environments

* Work around high-speed industrial machinery and food allergens

* Ability to certify as a HAZMAT Technician and respond in Level A suit

* Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions

* Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery

* Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
