JOB SUMMARY:
Assist with company-wide quality assurance activities, as well as those, which are specific to individual projects.
Essential Functions:

Project Specific
- Assist with project risk assessment
- Development of project quality plans for design phase
- Management of third-party envelope consultant involvement (if retained by Walsh Construction Co.)
- Assist is communications with design consultants
- Review QA/constructability of design documents (100% S.D. set, 50% C.D./permit set, bid set)
- Assist with scope clarifications / bid proposal review / contract review
- QA/coordination review of construction set documents
- Assist with building envelope coordination during construction phase: pre-submittal coordination meeting, submittal process, RFI process, mockup review
- Construction phase field review (min. 2-4 site visits per month during building envelope construction)
Regional Duties
- Assist with the development of training sessions for PM’s, Superintendents, and QC Coordinators (to be delivered at quarterly meetings)
- Assist with regional marketing of QA/QC Program
- Oversight of regional warranty program and issues
Company Wide Duties
- Assist with development and distribution of construction bulletins
- Management of regional input to Lessons Learned/Project Debrief database

Supervisory Responsibility
- Some supervisory responsibility of the regions Quality Control Coordinators with Quality Director, Enclosure Superintendent, and Management. This responsibility includes employee evaluation, training, and development.
Interpersonal Contacts
- Contacts are made with others both internally and externally. The most common internal contacts are with project managers, superintendents, and field crews. The most frequent external contacts are with project owners and architects. Internal interactions tend to be face to face and external interactions are most frequently face to face with occasional video conferencing. There is some exchange of confidential/sensitive information necessitating discretion.
In-Person Attendance - In-person, regular and reliable full-time attendance at a Walsh office with travel to and from construction jobsites and off-site meetings.

Working Conditions:
- Physical Demands: Job involves sitting for long periods of time, using a computer, and typing on a regular basis. Additionally, use of telephone, copier, fax, as well as lift up to 15 lbs. occasionally.
- Environmental Conditions: Normally exposed to general office conditions, as well as construction jobsite where there is exposure to loud noise, equipment, climbing steps, climbing ladders, stooping, bending, and walking on uneven surfaces.
- Hours: Generally, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with some off-hours, as required.
- Must have reliable transportation to make frequent jobsite visits and ability to travel out of town, sometimes overnight.
Salary Range is $85,000 to $105,000 annually.

Leads day-to-day operations of projects for a general contracting business. Multi-family and senior housing.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Planning and coordination of subcontractors’ work and activities for a project.
· Attend and participate in Safety Training programs and ensures implementation of safety procedures that create a safe and healthy work environment through the job site. Adheres to OSHA safety and record keeping requirements.
· Enforce compliance with project site safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
· Verify subcontractor certificates of insurance.
· Monitor subcontractor personnel to ensure adherence with project plans and promotes quality control of all installations.
· Leads on productivity issues and monitors work performance and productivity of company employees and subcontractors to ensure project plans and schedule are followed and project is executed effectively and within budget.
· Advise senior level management of potential problems, work interference's or schedule difficulties, while assisting in circumventing or mitigating such conflicts. Provides assistance to involved contractors in resolving problems.
· Contributor to development of a thoughtful project pre-plan which includes a CPM schedule, work sequences, manpower utilization, material handling and storage requirements and equipment use.
· Communicate with project team regarding Work Directives, RFI’s, and Material Submittals.
· When requested, interfaces with owner, architect and design professionals to ensure compliance to design intent and owner satisfaction. Facilitates discovery and correction of contract document “errors and omissions” and problem solving to reduce the costs incurred.
· Ensure compliance with all internal and external record keeping requirements, with emphasis on accurate, properly coded employee automated timecards and accurately codes, fully priced material delivery tickets
· Prepare reports, document and complete all punch lists in a timely manner, review all drawings, specifications and subcontractor submittals
· Follow completion schedules and maintain a daily, written log of activities on the jobsite. Logs and reports might include photos and videos
· Use Procore construction management system to perform record-keeping tasks including, composing daily diaries, maintaining project logs and retrieving RFIs, submittal logs and agreements.
· Contribute to building good communications between project management, field engineering, estimating and specialty contractors to ensure construction complies with plans, specifications and company quality standards and that projects are completed on time and within budget.
· Chair or attend pre-job conference, regular subcontractor meetings
· Train, motivate and support subordinate employees in developing their capabilities to further company, project and personal development goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Ability to analyze and develop solutions to complex problems and to communicate effectively with diverse groups required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. About the Division
The Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division (HBMD) is responsible for maintaining and improving Broward County's roadway infrastructure. This includes operating and maintaining three bascule bridges, over 90 fixed bridges, and managing mosquito control operations. HBMD also oversees stormwater drainage improvements, sidewalk repairs, street resurfacing and patching, guardrail maintenance, and right-of-way mowing and cleaning.
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Project Manager to lead the planning, design, and execution of roadway, drainage, and bridge maintenance and repair projects. This role is critical to ensuring the safety, functionality, and longevity of Broward County's transportation infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing public works projects from inception through completion, including design, procurement, construction oversight, and documentation. Strong communication skills and proficiency in project management tools and design software are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage infrastructure projects from planning through construction closeout
- Prepare construction plans using GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or OpenRoads Designer (ORD)
- Develop technical specifications and bid documents
- Conduct field reviews and on-site construction inspections
- Compile and maintain project documentation, including contractor invoicing and as-built records
- Monitor project schedules and ensure timely milestone completion
- Track project budgets and financial performance

SCOPE OF WORK

Develops and prepares engineering plans and designs for a variety of construction projects; estimates quantities and costs of such projects.
Assists consultants in the development of construction projects; issues work orders to consultants, surveyors and testing labs; reviews consultants' plans and specifications at various stages of development for conformance to design standards, completeness and accuracy; monitors consultants' cost estimates and verifies consultant's invoices and recommends payment.
Coordinates bid advertisements; schedules and assists in conducting pre-bid conferences; assists in evaluating bids and making recommendations for award of contract.

The Construction Project Management Supervisor with the Seaport Facilities Maintenance Division is responsible for performing advanced professional and administrative work in managing maintenance projects for the Port Everglades Department. Specifically:
- Oversee water/sewer, stormwater design, construction, and other infrastructure to include regulatory compliance.
- Review as-built drawings, architectural, engineering plans, and specifications to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local building codes.
- Monitor and manage maintenance and capital projects

Manages and monitors construction contractors and consultants; develops, administers and negotiates construction and consultant contracts, master plan studies, amendments, change orders, and work authorizations.

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for assisting with one or more construction projects with the management of the overall planning, scheduling, code compliance, cost tracking, safety, and completion of these projects. The position requires business management acumen, and the candidate must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills and have strong communication and team building skills. The ideal candidate should have experience in residential construction.
WORK HOURS:
Weekdays 7 am to 5 pm; Saturdays 7 am- 1pm, as required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Study and understand plans, specifications, blueprints, and process submittals.
- Work with and assist project coordination and support staff in distributing all project data and documents to the project team.
- Maintain field set of project drawings and specifications.
- Work with and assist the project manager and the superintendent in coordinating, scheduling, and managing all construction activities.
- Maintain accurate time-keeping and construction activity records.
- Coordinate information flow between field personnel, sub-contractors and design team.
- Assist in reviewing and evaluating sub-contractor proposals including preparation of cost comparison/leveling charts as required.
- Monitor site activities and material receiving – ensure that material received is properly inspected for quantity and quality, and for compliance with specifications and approved submittals.
- Work with and assist the project manager and the superintendent with all jobsite reporting requirements, including daily reports, field purchase orders, weekly unit reports/meetings, weekly updates to the “two week look-ahead” and monthly updates to the construction schedule.
- Familiarize yourself with shop drawing and submittals and monitor the submittal schedule, contract documents, various tracking logs to comply with contract and company reporting requirements.
- Attend required jobsite meetings and take meeting minutes to present to all attending and non-attending parties.
- Maintain safety standards – safety planning is to be included in all pre-job planning and considered foremost in the daily operations.
- Maintain quality consistent with the company standards. Any repetitive quality problems with a subcontractor or vendor should be brought to management’s attention. The company has a policy and past record of providing high quality work and this standard is to be maintained on each project.
