JOB SUMMARY



The Office Coordinator performs all duties required to support and coordinate functions efficiently to meet and/or exceed customer expectations. Responsible for compiling patient’s medical record, coordinating patient’s tests and procedures with multiple internal and external sources. Completes patient order entry and maintains par level of patient and departmental supplies, and is an instrumental resource of patient information to physicians and staff.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS




  • Promptly acknowledges a patient upon their arrival to the department.  Quickly and efficiently addresses the patients’ needs.  Knows and relays information to the patient i.e. wait times, special instructions, etc.
  • Maintains confidential patient records and physician orders via computer and paper.
  • Communicates daily via telephone, fax, email to physicians, referring physicians, offices, and patients to ensure patient satisfaction.
  • Enters physician orders into the HIS accurately for all imaging modalities.     
  • Demonstrates proficient computer skills in HIS, RIS, email, MS Word, MS Excel.
  • Scans physician orders in the appropriate account in the HIS.
  • Escort patients to the appropriate waiting area for their exam.
  • Performs daily reminder calls to the patients.  This includes specific exam information and preparation instructions.
  • Coordinates imaging and procedures, ensuring accurate preps, diets, medications, and supplies, etc., are communicated to the patient and/or provider’s office. Prioritizes the scheduling of multiple tests and procedures.
  • Schedules in HIS for all radiology modalities, follows the protocol for such scheduling, obtains proper paperwork, and required signatures in accordance of quality standards and to maintain accuracy.
  • Accurately enters orders in HIS and reason for exam for appropriateness.  Determines the correct patient account when placing imaging orders.
  • Accurately utilizes RIS (Radiology Information System) to arrive patients and obtain patient information.
  • Encourages cost savings for the department and organization.
  • Provides excellent customer service, demonstrates professionalism and courteous telephone etiquette.
  • Demonstrates flexibility, positive interpersonal relations in high volume, high traffic, and fast paced work environment.
  • Demonstrates good positive communication skills with patients, families, medical staff and co-workers.

Shift : Days Hours : 7:30am- 8:00p Job Type: Full Time Job Summary Under the supervision of the Radiologist and Department Management Team, the Radiology Technologist -Advanced (Tech) shall provide radiographic imaging services to patients by performing general diagnostic radiological procedures and general fluoroscopic procedures as required of the position of Tech.

Additionally, the Tech will perform DEXA scans based on department needs.

The Tech shall operate imaging equipment and image processing equipment, prepare radiographic exam rooms, and maintain department equipment and supplies.

The Tech shall provide medical imaging services utilizing various modalities including Radiology, Computer Tomography, and/or Magnetic Resonance Imaging; while maintaining competencies in these assigned areas.

The Tech will provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.

Additionally, the Tech will provide services for inpatients, outpatients; hospital operating suites, the emergency department (ED), and the continuing care center (CCC).

Maintains quality assurance and performance improvement activities within the department as directed.

Complies with all Joint Commission, federal, state and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols.

Requires excellent customer service skills.

Primary Duties Assumes responsibility for the care and safety of patients undergoing medical imaging studies and continually monitors patients for safety and comfort while respecting patient privacy.

Properly confirms the patient's identity, verifies physician orders, and obtains relevant patient history.

Responsible for safe handling of equipment.

Educates and explains procedures to patients to prepare patients for medical imaging procedures.

Selects appropriate equipment to use based on modality.

Selects the proper imaging techniques, positioning, and radiation safety practices to keep exposures ALARA.

Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly.

Able to assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure; makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.

Ability to assess and interact effectively with all age groups from the Neonate to the geriatric patient.

Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.

Completes all necessary PACS functions to assure timely presentation of images to radiologists.

Assists in maintaining basic records, reports, and files.

Assists in training of students and ancillary personnel.

Takes standby call at least once a week on a rotational basis scheduled by department needs.

Interacts professionally with patient/family.

Completes all tasks in a timely fashion.

Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient, including newborn, pediatric, geriatric and general population.

Meets dress code standards; appearance is neat and clean.

Completes annual educational requirements.

Makes efficient use of down time to prevent bottlenecks in workflow (example: assists other modalities with transportation of patients when appropriate and necessary).

Performs other duties as assigned by the Department Management Team.

What You Will Do

The Effector Guidance Electronics Department designs digital electronic circuit cards and electronic units which are supported from proposal through transition to production. The Senior Principal Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, simulation, test, and integration of digital electronic modules and/or CCAs for missile applications. The candidate should be experienced in all aspects of circuit card design including hardware designs with processors, FPGAs, memory, and industry interfaces, such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART.

This position is 100% ONSITE in Huntsville, Alabama.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or Computer Engineering.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years engineering digital circuit design experience
  • Experience in the development and design of electronic circuit designs, and/or multi-assembly system/unit design
