Job Summary:
The Executive Director of Nursing (EDON) is a registered professional nurse who provides leadership and management for five (5) to twenty (20) cost centers for a specific service line through the application of advanced competencies in communication; job knowledge, professionalism and business skills. This executive is a member of the chief nursing officer's or AVP Nursing's administrative team and serves as their designee for assigned responsibilities. This leader effectively partners with hospital leadership, medical staff and other departments to create a center of excellence for their service line and to meet the hospital's vision, mission and goals. This role has a range of approximately 200 600 FTEs in a medium or large complex case setting that is 350 to 800 beds. This EDON also handles a budget with a range from 60 to 300 million dollars.
The Executive Director of Nursing provides direct leadership for a group of nurse managers/directors or departments and who comprise their specialty service line. He/she is a standard bearer and holds leaders and staff accountable for the delivery of safe, quality care and services through effective communication, fiscal accountability, and employment of transformational leadership., instilling an accountability-based practice setting. The executive director of nursing serves as sponsor for performance improvement; inspires others to seek opportunities to grow and improve their performance and successful applies lean and evidenced based practice to ensure all targets pillar outcomes are achieved. This executive employs all safety first interventions and as the chief safety officer creates a culture of safety for his/her service line through the development/use of these skills by other leaders, physicians and staff. He/she effectively uses data and technology to make decisions and proactively mitigates unnecessary risks for his/her area of responsibility providing instruction and mentoring for assigned leaders to be able to do the same. This executive ensures that nurse managers and staff create a desirable, safe work environment that enables the organization to meet or exceed all licensure, regulatory and accreditation standards. He/She models the way by fostering exemplary skills in attaining effective teamwork and collaboration with physicians, staff, patients and other departments.
It is expected that all Nurse Leaders are licensed, knowledgeable and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and implements the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association. As a member of the patient services team, it is expected the individual upholds the voice of the patient, system policies and procedures while supporting service excellence goals.

o Act as SME for nursing process, policy, and procedure in the ambulatory setting, and support across the continuum
o Development and oversight of ongoing annual learning programs for licensed and unlicensed staff including preceptorship
o Support clinical competency of licensed and unlicensed staff
o Lead continued development and implementation of nursing/clinical structure into clinical operations across all practice sites

Required Minimum Education:

- BLS - Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor is required.

Job Summary:
Monday-Friday 245pm-1115pm with call requirements.
The Resource Surgical Technologist functions under the direction of the registered professional nurse. Assists the health care team in providing safe, age appropriate and culturally aware patient care. He/she has advanced knowledge, skill and ability to perform duties within the context of at least three surgical specialties including moderate to high acuity cases (with an expectation on occasion to work above this level as cases require) as defined by the scope of anatomy, equipment and instrumentation of the case and anticipates the needs of the surgeon and other members of the healthcare team. Exhibits a high-level ability to acquire additional surgical skills for progressively more difficult cases and functions as an expert technical resource. Demonstrates an efficient, organized surgical plan for assigned cases. Takes initiative to discuss surgical plan with other members of the healthcare team. Able to troubleshoot instruments and equipment. Anticipates any additional supplies or equipment required for procedures. Acts as a liaison with sterile processing department. Expert level clinical skill, knowledge, and disposition to mentor, precept or train in various modalities. Initiates performance improvement initiatives in conjunction with unit leadership. Duties include, but are not limited to, preparation of the operative suite and surgical field to ensure a safe patient care environment while being vigilant for the maintenance of the sterile field and other patient safety concerns. In addition, they will gather required instruments, supplies and serve as surgical assistant as needed. (not to be confused with a certified surgical first assistant). Other duties as assigned including but not limited to assisting with inventory, ordering and stocking ORs and additional perioperative areas as assigned. Also, ensure that the unit is compliant with Joint Commission standards at all times. Call or late coverage may be required related to the facility in which the ST is working.
DEFINITION:
Certified Surgical Technologist required to have a certificate or associate's degree from a community college or a technical school and have passed the a competency examination through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or National Center for Competency Testing
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
He/she has the knowledge, skill and ability of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon and other members of the healthcare team within moderate to high difficulty surgical cases as defined by the scope of anatomy, equipment, and instrumentation of the case
* Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedure which includes review and utilization of appropriate preference card.
* Assists with room set-up to include opening of sterile supplies.
* Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medication/solutions needed for procedure in an accurate, aseptically prioritized, and timely manner, including reviewing and utilizing appropriate preference cards.
* Performs appropriate surgical counts with circulator.
* Actively participates in the procedure pause/time-out.
* Scrubs, gowns, and gloves; Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants.
* Assists in draping sterile field.
* Passes instruments to surgeon during the procedure. Maintains an organized back table and operative field. Able to anticipate and offer surgeon suggestions throughout the procedure for facilitating cases.
* Maintains highest standard of sterile technique during procedure.
* Prepares sterile dressings.
* Actively participates in post procedure pause which includes accounting for proper handling of the specimens.
* Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization, taking initiative to inform SPD of critical need instrument.
* Applies principles of asepsis to ensure the prevention of infection and safety of patients and employees.
* Prepares case carts according to procedure and preference cards. Reviews surgical schedule and assists clinical coordinator with preparation for future cases.
* Observes patients condition and immediately reports any changes or significant findings to the physician and Registered Nurse.
* Proactively plans for the next steps in the progression of procedure as needed, demonstrating an ability to adjust without faltering when an emergency arises.
* Performs with the knowledge, skill, and ability within the context of moderate to high acuity surgical cases.
* Prepares OR room and other areas (as needed) for receiving patients, which includes stocking, cleaning equipment or storage areas, turns OR room over, orders/requests supplies, preparing instruments for future procedures, notification of specialty staff regarding needed instrumentation or equipment.
* Maintains a financial stewardship related to supplies and equipment, only opening required supplies until requested by the surgeon.
* Applies knowledge of advanced surgical techniques.
* Exhibits a high level of collaboration with peers in decisions making related to surgical patient care.
Assists the health care team in providing safe, age appropriate and culturally aware patient care

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree or foreign equivalent required.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience with a P&C insurer or comparable consulting services.
- Worked across the insurance value chain line of Underwriting, Claims, New Business, Policy Servicing, etc.

This managerial position involves experience in all survey related projects. Preparing survey plats, topographies, and boundary surveys. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Committed to manage field work for topographic surveys, subdivision development, IDOT & Tollway projects, heavy highway designs, bridge construction, architectural developments, large topographic surveys, construction layout, and mapping.
- Work with Survey Interns (or train under licensed professionals) to gain insight on the principle and practices of accurate surveying applied to innovative robotic technology, laser scanning, GIS systems, leveling, and measurements.
Key Qualifications:
- Have or working toward Professional Land Surveyor License held in the state(s) of IL, IN, or WI.
- Understanding of topographic and boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, subdivisions, construction layout, easement and plats of vacation.
