Key responsibilities this position will perform include:
- Builds and sustains productive relationships between DCIDS team and key physicians and executives.
- Conducts global analysis of hospitals and hospital systems.
- Strategizes with leadership for donation service area approach and hospital system engagement.
- Conducts physician and executive educational needs assessments; develops and implements educational plans.
- Creates and maintains CME and CEU program for hospital partners
- Creates and maintains physician and executive directory.
- Builds and maintains a physician follow-up platform and conducts case follow up in collaboration with Hospital Development Coordinator.
- Develops and maintains relationships with area physician groups.

The ideal candidate will have:
- BA or BS in health-related field, healthcare administration, business or education required, Masters degree preferred.
- 5-7 years’ experience in a health care-related environment with demonstrated success in sales and marketing, customer service, public speaking and public relations duties.
- Demonstrates strong leadership through routine interactions and engagement of all hospital partners such as physicians, nurses, and executives. Coordinates onsite meetings to review operational challenges and successes regarding the donation process. Provides exceptional communication and follow-up of written correspondence, verbal communication, and presentation creation/delivery.

What is an Organ Recovery Coordinator?
Using their nursing background, Organ Recovery Coordinators (ORCs) oversee the process of procuring the gift of organ donation. - Evaluates patient suitability for organ donation by reviewing medical records and consultation with medical staff.
- Coordinates organ placement and allocation with transplant programs and surgeons.

- Performs aseptic recovery of musculoskeletal tissue and skin tissue. Assists in general practices such as room setup and breakdown, culturing, labeling, rinsing, and packaging tissue and reconstruction of the donor.
- Coordinates tissue donation process, procurement, shipping, and storage of tissue, while maintaining a positive, professional relationship with hospital, funeral home, and medical examiner staff. A9 is a 27-bed unit with an emphasis on the neurological, thoracic, abdominal, and orthopedic trauma patient. The unit is the designated stroke overflow unit for CHRISTUS Spohn. As a nurse on this fast-paced unit, you can expect to work with a diverse, highly collaborative team of physicians, advanced practitioners, RNs, LVNs, Therapists, RRTs, and ancillary staff. Experience
All newly hired nurses with two or less years of experience as a Registered Nurse will be hired in at a CN I status. A new hire can be considered for a higher clinical ladder level (level II and III only) based on years of relevant experience to the clinical area, national professional nursing certification, achievement of additional nursing education (B.S.N. and MSN).
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license. BLS Certification required or within 2 weeks of hire date. All other required certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire date. If nurse has the required certifications at time of hire, they must maintain the certifications and will not have a grace period to renew.
In accordance with the CHRISTUS Health License, Certification and Registration Verification Policy, all Associates are required to obtain the required certifications for their respective positions within the designated time frame.

The position is responsible for, but not limited to, managing subordinate personnel, preparing clinic(s) budget, ensuring data accuracy, preparing financial analyses, handling complex customer service issues and maintaining provider/staff communications.
Responsibilities: Establishes/implements goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems for the assigned administrative areas.
Assists with developing and implementing annual operational plan and budget.
Selects, trains, orients and supervises clinic personnel in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Responsible for work assignments and daily operations.
Manages personnel for multiple practices, including training relief employees.
Evaluates performances and recommends merit increases, promotions and disciplinary actions in a timely manner.
Interviews and recommends hiring and termination of staff in accordance with approved policies.
Resolves problems in administrative areas and ensures compliance with regulations and standards.
Helps fiscal management and other administrative staff in implementing cost effective policies and procedures for all operational areas including bookkeeping, billing, insurance, fee schedules, credit/collections, purchasing, data processing and space planning.
Works in conjunction with Regional Director and corporate Marketing Department in practice development.
Ensures the effective implementation of job descriptions, personnel policies and payroll practices.
Monitors and controls clinic expenditures within budget.
Identifies and implements cost reduction opportunities.
Serves as liaison between clinic and external agencies.
Works with staff and providers to ensure quality patient care and services are provided.
Maintain effective communication with providers and staff; conducts monthly meetings with providers and staff.

Requirements: Education/Skills Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business Administration or related field is required.
Master’s is preferred.
4 years of management experience as a substitute in lieu of education.
Experience 4-8 years of experience in diversified positions within a medical practice with at least one year in a supervisory position.
Demonstrated leadership skills (decision making, problem solving, delegation, prioritizing) and supervisory experience is required.
Competent in health care administration, clinic philosophy and policies and operating procedures is required.
Effective communication and prioritization of provider issues.
Competent in financial reimbursement, billing and collections, CPT, ICD9 and HCPCS coding and medical group operations, as well as managed care concepts.
Ability to recognize and communicate variances in key practice indicators.
Must be computer literate and have strong organizational skills.
