Position Overview

Leads quality control activities for precision-machined medical device components. Responsible for inspection planning, First Article and in-process inspections, nonconformance management, ISO compliance, ERP tracking, and mentoring quality staff across machining cells and shifts.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee inspection plans across machining cells
• Perform and review First Article Inspections and in-process inspections
• Lead nonconformance investigations, MRBs, and corrective actions
• Maintain ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 compliance
• Track quality data and documentation within ERP systems
• Train and mentor inspectors and machinists on quality standards
• Support internal audits and calibration programs

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5+ years quality experience in precision machining environment
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
• Experience performing FAIs and in-process inspections
• Experience managing nonconformance and corrective actions
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 systems
• Ability to mentor and train quality personnel

The salary range for this position is $66,049.00/year- $85,864.00 for the state of Illinois. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. This position will require set up and operating boring machine to bore, drill, tap, spot face, groove, mill or ream metal work pieces according to specifications, tooling instructions, and standard charts, applying knowledge of boring procedures and machining methods. This position will require heavy labor digging, lifting, working on ladders, and teamwork. This position requires the employee to work out in the elements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

* Must be able to dig trenches and run heavy construction equipment ex: Ditch Witch & Vermeer Directional Operators

* Move drilling equipment to construction location ex: driving or loading and unloading the machine
