• Running various equipment including manual mills, manual lathes, Vertical Machining centers, CNC Lathes, and miscellaneous shop equipment. Set up machine using proper fixture and selecting proper tooling for the application. Machine various materials such as steels, aluminums, composites, plastics, and rubbers.
  
• Writing and editing programs for machine to enable correct tool path, cutting speed and feeds.
  
• Writing and reviewing setup sheet and specifications to determine setup procedure, machining sequence, and dimensions.
  
• Observing and listening to machine operation to detect malfunctions such as worn or damaged cutting tools. Trouble shoot machine alarms, make corrections as needed and conduct routine machine maintenance. Change inserts, cutting tools and location of workpiece during machining process as specified in setup instructions.
  
• Measuring workpieces for conformance to specifications (i.e. material, dimensional tolerance) and adjust machine feed and speed and changes cutters to machine parts according to specifications. Routine machine maintenance and upkeep.}
  

• Possess a two-year machining degree or certificate (completed and verified prior to start) AND two (2) or more years of machinist experience in a Manufacturing environment

• Possess G&M Code Programming certification (completed and verified prior to start) AND three (3) or more years of machinist experience in a Manufacturing environment

General Role Description

We’re looking for an experienced construction professional—ideally someone with 5-10 years of experience at a larger general contractor—who’s ready to take on a hybrid role within a smaller, fast-moving firm. This is a unique opportunity for someone looking to have a hands-on impact across both the preconstruction and project execution phases.

You’ll play a critical role in winning and delivering work: building estimates, helping secure projects, and then managing them through closeout. You’ll work closely with ownership, clients, subs, and field staff, and your input will shape how we continue to grow.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating (Preconstruction)

• Review plans, specs, and RFPs to develop accurate and competitive estimates
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids
• Prepare and present project budgets, value engineering options, and scope clarifications
• Support proposal writing and client presentations
• Assist with buyout and early project planning

Project Management

• Oversee projects from kickoff through closeout
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, clients, and subs
• Manage schedules, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
• Track project costs and assist in billing/invoicing
• Conduct regular site visits and ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in commercial construction
• Experience in both estimating and project management roles
• Familiarity with San Francisco construction practices, codes, and permitting
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency with estimating and PM software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, MS Project, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor refrigeration system to include compressors, components, condensers, air units, and perform preventive maintenance and repair as scheduled
• Troubleshoots and repairs various pieces of equipment using several diagnostic skills/tools (ladder logic, volt meters, etc.).
• Basic troubleshooting/repair/preventive maintenance of all refrigeration and ice conveying equipment in the plant and freezer areas.
• The ability to start up equipment during pre-shift, such as ice makers and chillers.
• Supports and provides training to other IMTs in the proper running and completion of preventive maintenance tasks.
• Interprets specifications, blueprints, schematics, and work orders in performing duties.
• Suggests changes in processes to increase equipment uptime (reliability) while ensuring it is operating at optimal levels. Is committed to continuous improvement.
• Acts in a manner that is consistent with Butterball's core values. Must be able to work in both teams and on an individual basis in performing this role. Must be self-directed and focused on utilizing time efficiently.
• Utilizes and adheres to various company policies to include safety and food safety regulations.

• Position requires working around processing plant equipment.
• Must wear the required PPE to include steel toe shoes, safety glasses, hardhat, safety vest, gloves, and hearing protection.
• The noise level of the office environment is usually moderate; the noise level in the manufacturing environment may exceed 85 DBA and require hearing protection.
• May work with raw and/or cooked meat.
