Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Chemical Sales Representative, located in Boonton, NJ. The position involves building and maintaining relationships with clients, identifying potential customers, providing technical product knowledge, and promoting the sale of commodity chemical ingredients. The role also includes maintaining product portfolios, preparing sales reports, and achieving established sales and business development targets.
Qualifications
- Proven sales skills including client relationship development, negotiation, and achieving sales goals
- Strong knowledge of chemical and/or cosmetic ingredients
- Ability to conduct market research, analyze trends, and identify business opportunities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
- Experience in the chemical, cosmetic, or personal care industry is a plus
- Experience with CRM systems

Main Ingredients of the Job
Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required
Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required
What You Bring to the Table
Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
Minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required
Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.

The Customer Service Manager is responsible for overseeing daily customer support operations and leading a team of Customer Service Specialist for Layn USA. This role ensures high-quality service delivery, resolves escalated customer issues, and drives improvements in customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and team performance. The Customer Service Manager provides leadership, coaching, and strategic direction to maintain a high-performing customer support team.

Minimum Qualifications

What You'll Do:
Leasing Support:
- Conduct tours for prospective residents and respond to leasing inquiries
- Process applications, prepare leases, and maintain accurate records
- Support lease renewals and move-in/move-out coordination
- Assist with resident communications and retention efforts
Office Administration:
- Manage front office reception: greet visitors, answer calls, respond to emails
- Assist with scheduling, filing, supply management, and general office upkeep
- Support property leadership with special projects, reports, and vendor follow-up
- Track work orders and resident requests to ensure timely resolution
Resident Engagement & Marketing:
- Help plan and host resident events and property marketing initiatives
