How you support the community.
Provides prehospital 911 emergency care and/or Inter-facility transportation for injured and/or ill patients.
Administers medications and performs ALS level interventions and treatments as allowable per the NM State scope of practice, local guidelines, medical direction, and organizational policies.
Documents and maintains accurate medical records for patient encounters through use of ImageTrend Elite.
Operates emergency vehicles in a safe manner, consistent with EVOC.
Assists in the instruction of emergency medical services (EMS) students to provide for positive work-related experiences.
Attendance at departmental staff meetings and/or in-service educational programs while keeping current with developments in the field.
Proactively utilizes best practices to minimize response and drop times.
Qualifications:

The primary responsibility of the Logistics Modeling team is to intelligently and efficiently plan how CarMax moves vehicles across its nationwide network. The Food Scientist II reports directly to the Research & Technical Development Lead and plays a critical role in advancing technical platforms, ingredient research, and process feasibility for snack and confectionery products. Job Summary:
Manages a team of chemists/scientists/technicians and executes pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape prototype development, scale-up, and product launch in various applications. The group leader will focus on platform technology development, new product development for customer-driven projects, as well as continuous improvement and cost reduction of existing products and processes. Emphasis on acrylic polymer synthesis, silicone and rubber adhesive formulations, PSA rheology, knowledge of tape assemblies, backing material selection, and release liner familiarity. Works with customers and AR teams to collect design input and develop new product design strategies. Technical and laboratory lead in developing new adhesive solutions, robust products, and basic production processes that can be successfully commercialized.
Essential Functions:
- Establishes and directs research programs for new product development and product/process improvement of current products. Responsible for complex basic research and/or product development projects.
- Leads lab personnel and facilitates development of product constructions and processes; designs & conducts chemical experiments on both lab- and production-scale; designs and specifies production scale processes and contributes to product validation.
- Conducts and directs required laboratory work to develop new PSA and tape assemblies including polymerization, formulation, coating and testing. Develops new products that lead to sustainable commercial revenue.

Job Specifications:
- BS degree (or higher) in chemistry, chemical engineering, polymer science or materials science and/or significant industrial experience. Ph.D. degree preferred but not required.
- Greater than 3 years adhesive formulation, mixing process and coating process experience. Demonstrates detailed knowledge of required chemical and physical test methods for PSA characterization. Requires an aptitude to use sensitive test equipment.
- Basic understanding and familiarity with adhesive chemistries and coating technologies. Familiarity and understanding of various adhesive chemistries (acrylic, silicone, rubber).
- Understanding of adhesive tape constructions (backing materials, release liner selection, adhesive chemistries, etc.)

Job Description
We are seeking a Process Chemist to join our team in Englewood, CO. The Process Chemist designs, develops, optimizes, and scales chemical processes for the pilot to large-scale manufacturing of intermediate and finished products. The Process Chemist leverages their expertise in ensuring that chemical processes are developed so that the chemical reaction(s) is carried out efficiently, safely, and economically, and are within quality and regulatory compliance. By staying current with scientific literature and collaborating across teams, they drive innovation and efficiency. This role involves supporting IP development, maintaining safety standards, and contributing significantly to the team's success in achieving company goals.
Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and optimizing chemical processes to improve efficiency, yield, and product quality.
- Conducts laboratory experiments to understand chemical reactions and improve process conditions.
- Ensure that chemical processes comply with regulatory requirements and safety standards.
- Conduct small, pilot, or large-scale manufacturing of intermediates and/or finished products.
- Write/execute technical reports, standard operating procedures, and batch records.
- Ability to work second shift, when needed.
- Remain current on relevant scientific literature.

Qualifications
- BS/MS in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related discipline.
- 1-3 years’ experience with process development, process optimization, and/or scale-up.
- An understanding and/or familiarity with regulatory compliance in chemical manufacturing.
- Knowledgeable in chemical reaction mechanisms, kinetics, and environmental health and safety practices.
- Ability to use analytical instrumentation (HPLC, GC-MS, DSC, pH meter, etc).
- Ability to operate pilot to large-scale chemistry equipment (chemical reactors, pumps, distillation equipment, etc).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to conduct literature searches for specific target molecules and reactions; ability to use the literature to design efficient synthetic routes, as well as troubleshoot problematic reactions.
- Thorough understanding of modern analytical and spectroscopic techniques and ability to interpret the corresponding data and spectra.
- Quality-first mindset, which leads to the production of highly pure final products.

The pay range for this position is 41,446.00 - 67,209.00 in Annual Salary. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role.
