Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Clinical Laboratory Supervisor role based in Arcadia, LA. The Clinical Laboratory Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the laboratory, ensure adherence to quality control protocols and regulatory compliance, and provide leadership to the laboratory team. This position plays a critical role in our growth as an expanding molecular diagnostics laboratory and reports directly to the Laboratory Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor, and manage a team of laboratory technologists and technicians, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee and perform molecular sample processing and result verification under Laboratory Director oversight.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with manufacturer and regulatory protocols.
- Facilitate proficiency testing programs and ensure timely completion and documentation.
- Fulfill the duties of Technical Supervisor in accordance with CLIA regulatory requirements.
- Implement and monitor quality control practices across all testing processes to maintain accreditation standards.
- Consult with client facilities regarding laboratory services, testing capabilities, and result inquiries.
- Compile and manage inventory for all laboratory benches, coordinating supply orders to prevent disruptions.
- Draft job listings, facilitate interviews, and coordinate hiring to support laboratory staffing needs.
- Manage projects and timelines related to laboratory operations, new test development, and workflow optimization.
- Address operational challenges through proactive problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, or a related field.
- MLT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) certification required.
- Current Louisiana State Medical Laboratory Technician or Scientist Licensure.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, staff development, and performance management.
- Proficiency in quality control practices and regulatory compliance, including CLIA and COLA standards.
- Experience operating and maintaining clinical laboratory instrumentation, with molecular diagnostics experience preferred.

6. Solicits and provides input for the development and/or revision of standard operating procedures and department policies.
7. Maintains working knowledge of current hospital and lab administrative and safety policies/ procedures as well as the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) if applicable, and applies these policies consistently and seeks management guidance when needed.
8. Responds, researches, and answers to customer inquiries and performs as variety of duties related to customer service in accordance with hospital and laboratory policies and procedures. Monitors customer service activities and day-to-day Specimen Processing and/or Phlebotomy activities to identify potential problems and provide possible solutions.
9. Requests input and direction, as needed, from the Medical Director(s), Administrative Director, and/or Manager(s) regarding medical and technical issues, employee training, quality assurance and quality control procedures.
10. Organizes time, materials and resources in an economical manner, prioritizing laboratory requests by assessing and adjusting workload and staffing to provide for optimal patient care and efficiency.
11. Participates in various activities (i.e., staff meetings, in-services, etc.) to disseminate information to laboratory staff, allied health personnel, Medical Director(s), physicians and nurses by written and/or verbal means.
12. Maintains laboratory communication and ensures that information concerning new policies and procedures is available to staff in a timely manner and is incorporated into routine policies and procedures.
13. Reviews and evaluates, as needed, quality control records and test results to determine analytical errors, shifts and trends and correlates data to assure quality patient test results.
14. Assists in organizing time, materials and resources in an economical manner, and prioritizing laboratory requests by assessing and arranging workload throughout all laboratory sections within the division to provide for optimal patient care and efficiency.
15. Assures daily completeness of all workload within established turnaround times by flexing organization of work according to test ordering status (e.g., routine, STAT, ASAP, emergency), and by reviewing pending test results (e.g., daily monitoring, turnaround studies).
16. Initiates effective communication with supervisory personnel and all other laboratory personnel, other hospital departments and patient/public, as necessary to assure dissemination of information and the identification/resolution of problems in support of the hospital’s mission of patient care.
17. May participate in the technical and theoretical instruction, supervision and evaluation of residents and students of the School of Medicine, as established by laboratory policies (e.g., laboratory objectives, evaluation forms).

Overview / Objective:
Serve in an administrative role for event presentation and show production across the National Football League’s tentpole events, including the Super Bowl, Pro Bowl, Draft, Scouting Combine, Hall of Fame, Flag Championships, and Kickoff. This role will focus on administrative strategy, logistics, and supporting our growing number of domestic events and international games.
The role will support key aspects related to NFL event presentation administration and logistics. Additionally, they will assist in the facilitation of game presentation across all 32 Clubs by engaging in ongoing discussions on optimal practices, innovation, and policies. This role requires an understanding of event presentation across sports/entertainment, with a detail-oriented and solution-based mindset.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and support key components for NFL Domestic & International Games/Events: content development, pre-event pageantry/game timeline, entertainment, creative development, production, and talent management.
- Play a key role in on-site presentation execution across all major NFL events, including Super Bowl game (and surrounding events), Pro Bowl, NFL Draft, Scouting Combine, the Hall of Fame
- Coordinate and manage all logistical assets and resources, including pre-production, on-site operations, and post-event breakdown.
