Responsibilities
1. 2. THERAPY, CASE STAFFING, AND TREATMENT: Conducts therapy, monitors, approves, and documents all treatment planning, and provides advice for case staffing, using expert knowledge of general and specific concepts, principles, procedures, and practices relating to psychological counseling; expert knowledge of the full range of psychological testing; expert knowledge of psychodynamics, psychopathology, and therapeutic techniques; ability to analyze clinical assessments of patients; skill in written communication; and skill in oral communication. Reviews and approves the appropriate modality of each patient. Develops treatment processes and procedures for orientation of patients.
3. ADMINISTRATION: Executes performance initiatives (PI) through revision of clinical standards and procedures; performs special actions and a variety of program administrative duties; and performs a wide variety of quality management/quality assurance (QM/QA) duties to meet Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) requirements, using expert knowledge of the general and specific concepts, principles, procedures, and practices relating to psychological counseling; expert knowledge of psychodynamics, psychopathology, and therapeutic techniques; ability to analyze clinical assessments of patients; skill in written communication; and skill in oral communication. Evaluates clinical records and monitors all test administration and scoring for quality assurance. Evaluates environment of care. Monitors all risk management issues and takes appropriate action. Establishes and executes performance initiatives. Establishes and monitors objective behavioral outcome measures. Develops and revises professional service plans. Evaluates and revises standard operating procedures.
4. TESTING: Oversees and interprets appropriate tests, using expert knowledge of general and specific concepts, principles, procedures, and practices relating to clinical psychology; expert knowledge of the full range of psychological testing; knowledge of psychodynamics, psychopathology, and therapeutic techniques; ability to analyze patient assessments; skill in written communication; and skill in oral communication. Monitors, maintains, and secures test instrument inventory. Approves selection of various tests. Interprets various complex tests. Provides consultation regarding testing and interpreting issues. Evaluates test results for release. Evaluates diagnostic summaries.
5. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES: Develops, implements, and evaluates professional development activities, using expert knowledge of general and specific concepts, principles, procedures, and practices relating to clinical psychology; expert knowledge of the full range of psychological testing; expert knowledge of psychodynamics, psychopathology, and therapeutic techniques; ability to analyze clinical assessments of patients; skill in written communication; and skill in oral communication. Coordinates inter-departmental in-service training. Evaluates scope of practice and modifies, as required. Evaluates training opportunities. Evaluates orientation activities. Attends American Psychology Association or the National Association of Social Workers approved continuing education training. Adheres to the applicable Code of Ethics. Evaluates professional development activities.

Degree: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing psychological evaluations, developing behavioral health treatment plans, and providing psychological counseling services. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

The College Writing Programs at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach courses in the College Writing Programs should an opening arise.
Job Duties: Successful applicants will teach in CWP's Reading and Composition sequence or other CWP courses in writing, reading, and oral communication. They will have complete responsibility for classes to include teaching in a classroom environment, meeting with students during scheduled weekly office hours and by appointment, and grading student work.

Job Summary
The Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a Research Engineer II position. This role supports sponsored research in the modeling and simulation of turbulent reacting multiphase flows in propulsion and power systems.
The successful candidate will conduct high-fidelity computational research using Large Eddy Simulation (LES) and Direct Numerical Simulation (DNS) to investigate complex turbulent reacting flows in aerospace propulsion applications, including gas turbines, scramjets, and liquid rocket systems. Research activities are closely aligned with externally funded projects and include simulation development, model validation, data analysis, reporting, and dissemination of results.
This is a full-time research faculty appointment contingent upon sponsored funding.
Responsibilities
Research Engineer II
ResponsibilitiesConduct high-fidelity LES and DNS simulations of geometrically complex turbulent reacting flows relevant to propulsion and power systems
Develop, implement, and validate computational models and numerical methods within specialized research codes
Optimize and execute simulation cases on advanced high-performance computing platforms
Process, analyze, and interpret large simulation datasets
Support sponsored research deliverables, including milestone reporting and technical documentation
Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at technical conferences
Contribute to proposal development and expansion of externally funded research programs
Assist in mentoring graduate students and supporting broader research program activities
Required Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering and three (3) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of that degree, or
- A Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering , and five (5) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of a Bachelor's degree, or
- A Doctoral degree.

The National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures Center (NBACC) is a unique facility located at Fort Detrick in Frederick, MD, dedicated to defending the nation against biological threats. Established in response to biodefense gaps identified after the Amerithrax attacks of 2001, NBACC has been operated by the Battelle National Biodefense Institute (BNBI) since 2006.
NBACC supports DHS and national biodefense preparedness planning, response, emerging threat characterization, and bioforensic analyses. It addresses critical scientific knowledge gaps regarding biological agents to protect the public and defend the nation against biological threats- whether naturally occurring, accidental, or deliberate. NBACC also provides federal law enforcement with scientific data to support the investigation and attribution of biocrimes and the protection of the U.S. bioeconomy.
NBACC is comprised of two centers:
- National Bioforensic Analysis Center (NBFAC): Conducts technical analyses to support federal law enforcement investigations.
- National Biological Threat Characterization Center (NBTCC): Conducts experiments and studies to gather data for understanding biological vulnerabilities and hazards.
Together, these centers serve as a national resource for assessing risks posed by biological agents and emerging technologies, informing biodefense policy and response planning, and supporting the investigation, prosecution, and prevention of biocrimes and bioterrorism.
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Coordinates activities of the NBACC Institutional Regulatory Committees in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines. Committees to be supported include the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), the Institutional Safety Committee (ISC), the Institutional Review Committee (IRC), and the Human Subjects Research Committee (HSRC). Provides broad technical regulatory support and overall coordination to the Chairpersons and members of the Committees.

- Serves as the Controlled Substances Officer, responsible for administration/implementation of the controlled substances program.

Job Summary
The School of Psychology ( /) at the Georgia Institute of Technology ( ) invites nominations and applications for 4 open-rank tenure-track faculty positions with an anticipated start date of August 2024. Successful applicants are expected to demonstrate and develop an exceptional research program. We are particularly interested in candidates whose scholarship focuses on Applied Behavioral Sciences, including but not limited to Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Quantitative Psychology,HumanFactors/EngineeringPsychology,andAdultDevelopmentandAging. Ideal candidates will place a strong emphasis on the use of quantitative and computational methodologiesinthedevelopmentofuse-inspiredtheoryandresearchtoaddressmodern workplace and/or societal challenges. We are particularly interested in candidates who can build bridges within the School, across the Institute, and beyond. This includes fostering collaborative interactions with other School members and contributing to bridge-building with other academic and research units at Tech and with government and industry.
Required Qualifications
A Ph.D. in Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Applied Quantitative Methods or related STEM field is required at the time of appointment. Candidates should have a strong record of academic accomplishments commensurate with their current academic rank and an externally funded research program or show potential to establish one. Candidates should have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and mentorship and will be expected to contribute to the undergraduate and graduate instructional missions of the School.
