Quad is seeking full-time Die Cutter Operators at our Spartanburg, SC, plant location. The Die Cutter Machine Operator efficiently performs set-up and operates machines that die cut blank and/or pre-printed stock. Responsibilities include confirmation of accuracy and completeness of order, dies, set-up and installation, paper stock, and the load and feed of paper, and the effectiveness and accuracy of cutting, staging completed work per instructions, and area maintenance. We are looking for operators who are flexible and can work any of these shifts with our current openings on nights (6 pm - 6 am Wednesday-Friday).
6 am - 6 pm (Monday-Wednesday)
6 pm -6 am (Sunday-Tuesday)
6 am - 6 pm (Thursday-Saturday)
6 pm - 6 am (Wednesday-Friday)
Wages start between $17.00 - $23.00 / hour or more based on relevant work experience and a strong employment history.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Follow all Company policies, procedures, and guidelines as well as take actions that support teamwork, safety, contamination control, and efficiency.
* Follow the pre-production, make-ready, and production-run tasks.
* Operate powered equipment.
* Occasionally, train workers on the Die Cutting Machine operations, including the feeding and take-off functions.
* Ensure the work area is clean, and that non-conforming, overruns, and/or waste are delivered to the appropriate repository.
* Cross-train as assigned.
* Follow and adhere to all Personal Protective Equipment rules and regulations.
* Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
* Sheetfed die cutter experience preferred. Experience with Bobst 106 Die Cutters is desired, but we will consider those with experience on other models as well.
* Strong mechanical aptitude is required.
* Strong multi-tasking abilities and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision.
* Observe and monitor machine operations to determine whether adjustments are needed to run the product for the highest quality in the safest manner.
* Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
* Must be able to utilize a computer to ensure the quality of the product.
* Be able to perform work-related math functions (which include the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
* Accurately read and use measuring devices.
* Experience with hand tools.
* Ability to lift 10-15 pounds continuously, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, stand long hours (10-12-hour shifts), use hands and wrists continuously in controlled movement, receive and follow instructions, and use vision to identify defects.

Job Description
- Pick and pack orders of signs & sign supplies in preparation for shipping to customers.
- Load and unload delivery trucks by hand as well as a forklift.

- Accurately measure and cut custom size product pieces for customers using panel saw and/or roll slitter.

- Assist couriers and delivery drivers’ load vehicle, verify load for accuracy, and work to maximize delivery efficiency.

- Knowledge of WMS, printing ticket orders, MS Office Suite, email, internet navigation.

We are seeking a Process Optimization Engineer to enhance the efficiency, quality, and safety of our manufacturing processes at our Owensville, MO facility. In this role, you will design, troubleshoot, and optimize processes to reduce waste, boost productivity, and ensure exceptional product quality while leading impactful projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Development & Optimization: Design and refine manufacturing processes to maximize uptime, minimize waste, and meet customer specifications while considering material properties, equipment capabilities, and operator workflows
- Continuous Improvement: Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to drive efficiency and enhance product quality; propose and execute projects using PDCA methodology with clear ROI justification
- Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Conduct root cause analysis using tools such as Ishikawa diagrams, 5 Whys, and Pareto Analysis; develop corrective actions including A3, 8D, and Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCAR)
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze process data to identify trends and improvement opportunities; establish data collection methods, train operators, and deliver KPI reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) to support strategic decisions
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing optimization, or continuous improvement roles
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Automotive industry experience preferred
- Familiarity with Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA) is a plus
