CLA is currently seeking a Tax Principal or Signing Director to support our clients in our growing Western Washington - Private Client Services Practice. The P/SD contributes at the highest level in their industry and excels at client advisory, service advocacy, relationship development, and leadership.

How you'll create opportunities in this Tax Principal - Private Client Services role:

• Lead a team of tax and industry professionals to deliver tax compliance and consulting services, including mentoring the team to get to know and help their clients by developing a deep understanding of their businesses and delivering the firm's services to fully meet client's needs.
• Assume full responsibility for clients in a book of business, that includes a full range of services such as gift, estate, and trust tax planning and consulting services including planning strategies in minimizing estate taxes, business succession, and asset protection.
• Review and sign engagement letters, discuss the nature and terms of assignments with clients and staff, and approve fees.
• Review and approve work papers and trust, estate, gift and high net worth individual income tax returns prepared by staff.
• Review and sign client deliverables.
• Keep current on tax law changes.
• Actively develop new business and expand services to existing clients.
• Collaborate with CLA's Wealth Advisory practice and other client professionals.
• Demonstrate commitment to the firm through a willingness to devote time to the practice.

What you will need:

• Bachelor's or master's in accounting, Taxation or related field
• Current CPA licensure required. (JD or EA may be accepted in lieu of CPA).
• 10+ years of public accounting experience in a tax role with a public accounting and/or professional services firm

The compensation range for this position in Washington is: $160,000 - $350,000

The Senior Estimator is responsible for preparing budgets, estimates, and pre-bid packages for construction projects to be built for clients under various contractual relationships. Responsibilities also include; working directly with the subcontractors, business development and project management teams developing sections of schematic, design development and construction document estimates including soliciting and evaluating subcontractor bids, and scopes of work, preparing quantity surveys, reviewing project plans and specifications for various categories of work including both large, small and program projects.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead with timely roll-out and execution of the entire estimate deliverable process
• Conduct initial analysis of drawings and specifications to ensure required documentation is present and determine scope of work
• Develop full-scope estimates based on construction document
• Critically analyze bid documents and understand risk and opportunities and articulate those to management
• Resourceful and diligent in seeking solutions to problems and adapting to new situations

• Have some public bidding experience
• Be able to estimate projects between $1M and $30M
• Have ability to conceptualize ROM pricing from basic info provided by owners
• Working knowledge of Excel spread sheets, Procore and Word processing programs
• Experience with estimating take-off software such as Planswift
• Understanding of the influence of market conditions on pricing
• Vast knowledge of all trades: scope, time frames/field execution, typical missed scope/exposures
• Solid conceptual estimating experience

With locations and customers all over the world, Optima Machinery Corporation designs and builds packaging and filling machines including complete production lines for pharmaceutical, consumer, nonwovens and life science products.

The Automation & Controls Technician position supports the Optima Pharma Division in an enhanced service role pertinent to the operations of that division. The Automation & Controls Technician position is a full-time, hourly role that requires availability for service and continued training. This job operates in a production environment at the customer's site and requires strict adherence to the customer's safety measures while working both independently and as part of a team.

This job is fully remote and can be based anywhere in the U.S. Travel to Optima Machinery Corporation locations in Raleigh, NC, Green Bay, WI, and Germany will be required. Total travel requirements for this position is 70 – 80%.

What You’ll Do:

• All aspects of control system installation, from control panel assembly, field wiring, machine installations, machine troubleshooting, and general electrical services.
• Installing machines and making the process adjustments both mechanically and electrically for efficient operation.
