Responsibilities:

  • Understand general liability coverage issues and can analyze and interpret commercial policy language in conjunction with specific facts of loss to reach appropriate coverage decisions and effectively communicate the company's coverage position verbally and in writing including reservation of rights and denial of coverage letters
  • Compose a variety of other written communications to insureds, claimants, attorneys and agents in a professional and error-free manner.
  • Understand and interpret construction contracts and apply risk transfer when appropriate.

Job Overview

Macy’s Senior Counsel, Litigation is a member of the Macy’s existing in-house litigation team located in St. Louis. The St. Louis team handles Macy’s nationwide, uninsured litigation docket. This role entails actively litigating all aspects of lawsuits against the company from initial response to appeal. Please note this is not a position that monitors cases – the team actually litigates matters across the country. The ideal candidate must have substantial employment experience, including serving as second chair in trials. First chair experience is a plus but not required. What You Will Do

  • Analyze complex legal and factual issues and write persuasively to convince the audience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Structure, draft, and negotiate strategic technology transactions involving fintech, AI systems, cloud services, and software platforms.
  • Draft and negotiate vendor, supplier, and outsourcing agreements.
  • Advise clients on intellectual property and regulatory issues relating to data, open banking, AI model development, and content use.
  • Draft and negotiate agreements involving software licensing, commercialization, technology development, and IP rights.
  • Provide product counseling and guidance on advertising, marketing, and promotional law for innovative tech launches.
  • Negotiate AI system licenses and content licenses for AI model training.
  • Monitor emerging regulatory frameworks impacting AI, fintech, payments, and advanced technologies.


Top Requirements

  • 4–8 years of experience in technology transactions, licensing, fintech, IP, or outsourcing.
  • Strong understanding of commercialization of advanced technologies, including payments, AI, cloud computing, and software.
  • Experience negotiating complex IP, data access, and licensing arrangements.
  • Background advising fintech, financial institutions, or digital asset clients.
  • Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • JD and admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.

Job Description

The Senior Document Production Associate position is responsible for providing word processing and/or document production services for our clients.

  • *Perform document production work according to established policies and procedures
  • *Thoroughly assess job request, identify correct process needed to produce documents and ensure appropriate completion throughout task lifecycle
  • *Exercise independent judgment & use established procedures, standards and formats to edit, proofread, convert, create, transcribe or otherwise complete document production requests to client satisfaction
  • *Demonstrate intermediate to advanced use of equipment/technology/software and hardware necessary to perform job functions
  • *Assist with coordination of document production services, preparation, intake, and workflow within team
  • *Troubleshoot more complex software or hardware problems

Qualifications

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent required. Higher level education preferred or equivalent work experience

  • Document production, word processing experience preferred
  • Advanced skill in the use of MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); strong keyboarding and typing skills
  • Adept with other software programs for editing and/or creating documents
  • Knowledge of a legal timekeeping or job tracking system is preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment, working both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to prioritize work, balance projects and meet deadlines in a timely manner
  • Strong attention to detail with good organizational skills and emphasis on accuracy and quality
  • Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information

Additional Information

The salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $19 / hour. Starting pay decisions

are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications,

skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business

needs. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on

the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay. RRD’s benefit offerings include
