The Internal Identity & Access Management (I2AM) team is responsible for critical production infrastructure that provides a foundational notion of Identity and strong authentication and authorization controls across Pinterest. Our backend is primarily written in Golang, Python with some C++ while our frontend tools are written in React and TypeScript. We're looking for an experienced software engineer who will help us build robust tooling to define and evaluate access controls across production infrastructure. A security background is not necessary but ideal candidates will have familiarity with the problems or related spaces, such as Infrastructure or Identity.

What you'll do:

• Help shape our identity and authorization controls for users, services and AI Agents.
  
• Design, implement, and maintain mission-critical software that will help us deliver robust IAM infrastructure and libraries to our customers.
  
• Collaborate with a variety of teams to build performant and resilient AAA (Authentication, Authorization, Auditing) platform controls into various high-traffic services including our AI Agents, online/offline data platforms, databases, service mesh (Envoy). and other critical infrastructure components.
  
• Represent the I2AM team across the Security Organization and with our X-org partners, including Networking, Data Platform, Cloud Platform, Agent Platform and product teams.
  
• Work with and mentor more junior engineers on the I2AM team.
  

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Production Engineering at Pinterest is an evolution of our Site Reliability Engineering organization blending a hybrid of systems and software engineering with a focus on scaling, resiliency, reliability, performance, and efficiency. We are looking for a Firewall Administrator to join our team in support of a program with our DoD customer.

Responsibilities Include:

• Plan and deploy Enclave Boundary Defense systems and programs including firewall, proxy server, cloud services and other devices and applications.
  
• Plan and deploy De-Militarized Zones (DMZs) for each managed firewall as required.
  
• Provide onsite and remote support to boundary security and programs, which include Checkpoint Firewalls, Aviatrix Product Suite, various types of cloud security, security controls and any other platforms.
  
• Participate in the development, testing, and implementation of firewalls and proxy servers
  
• Verify devices are configured in accordance with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

• Deploy and sustain new firewall solutions as prescribed by the government.

Maintaining comprehensive documentation of security controls, configurations, and processes within the CSP environment.
  
• Cloud Security Operations and Monitoring: Provide continuous security monitoring and incident response capabilities for CSP environments, including log analysis, threat intelligence integration, vulnerability management, and incident response planning and execution.
  
• Audit, Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and standards (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST) for CSP environments, including documentation, reporting, and audit support. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Product & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner with Product Owners, System Architects, and business stakeholders to define user stories and deliver effective solutions in an agile environment.

System Enhancement & Support

• Lead enhancements and troubleshoot issues across the SAP ecosystem.

Responsibilities

In your role as an internal tool developer, you will develop applications, infrastructure, and tools used by engineering to capture product requirements and interface definitions, model the product architecture and design, and reduce and analyze flight and lab test data. You will supercharge the engineering organization's efficiency and effectiveness by streamlining tools and processes.
