Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
Clearance Information: This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Superintendent – Heavy Highway/Civil Construction
Syracuse, NY Area (Projects within 1.5 hours)
$110,000 – $150,000 base (DOE) + Bonus
About the Opportunity
A growing civil construction contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale public infrastructure and heavy highway projects. This role is ideal for a hands-on field leader who can independently run projects from start to finish while managing crews, subcontractors, and schedules in fast-paced environments.
Projects primarily include transportation and public works infrastructure, including bridges, earthwork, drainage, and structural concrete scopes ranging from $1M–$30M.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all onsite construction activities for heavy civil/highway projects
- Manage daily field operations, crews, and subcontractors (5–12 personnel typical)
- Maintain project schedules and coordinate closely with Project Managers
- Procure materials and coordinate site logistics
- Conduct quality control inspections and enforce safety standards
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Manage multiple trades and maintain accountability across subcontractors
- Utilize tablets/apps for daily reporting and timekeeping

Required Qualifications
