General Requirements:

  • Administers medications and treatments safely via multiple routes (oral, IM, SC, ID, IV, inhalation, topical, ocular, optic, sublingual, nasal) and documents accordingly.
  • Performs nursing care, lab and diagnostic tests, specimen collection, phlebotomy, and limited radiology procedures following policies and universal precautions.
  • Assists providers with patient care, phone/mail/fax communications, scheduling, consents, admissions, referrals, and outpatient procedures.
  • Communicates and collaborates with physicians, staff, patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members regarding care plans and patient needs.
  • Educates patients, families, and clinical staff on treatments, medications, test preparation, discharge, and health maintenance; documents education and evaluates understanding.
  • Participates in staff meetings, committees, quality improvement, risk management, and performance improvement projects.
  • Maintains documentation accuracy and completeness in EMR: assessments, vitals, symptoms, treatments, medications, education, charges, lab results, histories, and consults.
  • Maintains and monitors supplies, equipment, medication stock, and office machines; follows maintenance and quality control protocols; reports malfunctions.
  • Recognizes and responds appropriately to urgent/emergency patient needs and initiates emergency procedures.
  • Other duties as needed and assigned by the manager.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.

Education:

  • Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
  • Active RN License in the state of Iowa; Licensure from other states may be required based on location. Compact State License acceptable where applicable.

Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Recreational Therapy. 
  • Two years of experience in a rehabilitation environment and/or work with persons with neurological and developmental deficits. 
  • Certification of CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist). 
  • Knowledge of rehabilitative techniques relative to recreation for persons with diverse neurological impairment. 
  • Ability to interpret evaluations from various disciplines (Neuropsychology, Occupational/Speech/Physical Therapies) and understand the relevance to your practice. 
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner. Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion.

Job Summary and Qualifications 

Our Surgical Service teams are a committed, caring group of colleagues. We have a passion for creating positive patient interactions. We offer a vast array of robotic surgical technology including gynecology, general, thoracic, urology, spine and joint replacement. As a Surgical Tech you will work directly with the surgeon in the operating room. You may scrub and assist the physician during procedures.   • Communicating the surgeon’s preferences and specific patient needs to surgical team

  • Collaborating with others to provide continuity of care

The Family Partnership is hiring a Pediatric Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who will be responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based, medically necessary occupational therapy services to children in early childhood programs. Other responsibilities will include the following:

  • Providing developmental occupational therapy services under supervision.
  • Delivering intervention procedures as delegated by the supervising OTR/L, in accordance with AOTA practice standards and Minnesota regulations.

  • Participating in face-to-face collaboration sessions with the OTR/L at a minimum of every 10 intervention days or every 30 calendar days, whichever occurs first, or more frequently as needed.
  • Reviewing the child's therapy goals and providing input on progress during interdisciplinary team meetings and care conferences.
  • Maintaining open, respectful communication with families, caregivers, and educators as guided by the OTR/L.
  • Assisting with discharge and transition planning under the direction of the supervising OTR/L.
  • Documenting intervention sessions, client response, and any clinical observations in the Procentive EMR system in accordance with state and payer requirements.
  • Submitting timely billing for all direct services performed, consistent with Medicaid and DHS billing standards.
  • Maintaining accurate records to support physician orders, recertifications, and continued therapy coverage.
  • Participating in continuing education and in-service training relevant to pediatric occupational therapy, trauma-informed care, and cultural responsiveness.
  • Assisting with quality assurance initiatives such as chart audits and client satisfaction surveys.
  • Contributing to planning for program improvements, materials, and procedures.
  • Supporting OTA student learning experiences as assigned by the supervising OTR/L.

You hold a current Minnesota Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) license issued by the Minnesota Board of Occupational Therapy Practice.

You graduated from an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program and hold national certification (NBCOT COTA) or are eligible for the same.

You have two years of pediatric experience or demonstrate equivalent knowledge gained through alternative courses of study and life experience.

You have strong communication and organizational skills.

You are flexible and adaptable.

You are comfortable working with at-risk clients, clients who have experienced trauma, clients from diverse cultures and ethnicities, and clients from non-English speaking households.

You have a valid First Aid and CPR certification.

You have a valid driver's license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet TFP's driving record requirements. Please note that if the license was not issued in the state of Minnesota, you have 60 days after becoming a Minnesota resident in which to apply for your Minnesota driver's license or permit (not applicable for new hires living out of state).

This position functions as a skilled technician who is able to perform diagnoses and repairs in all areas, in addition to being specialized in particular areas of repair.

Responsibilities

Performs work as outlined on repair order such as oil change, tune-ups, checking/replacing fluid levels and tire rotation with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair with use of testing and diagnostic equipment.Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended using checklists.Communicates with service advisor and customers immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time. Key Responsibilities:

· Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures.

· Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.

· Obtain and record vital signs including but not limited to, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem.

· May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.

· Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topically, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant administration.

· May perform routine tests including but not limited to EKG’s.

· Prepare, clean and sterilize instruments and maintain equipment; keep patient exam rooms stocked, clean and orderly; dispose of contaminated items according to protocol.

· Document patient plan(s) of care, tests and examination results in the medical record as directed by the provider.

· Escalate non-routine issues, questions and/or concerns to the practice manager or healthcare provider(s).

· Ensure safety checklists/quality controls are completed as required.

· Provide for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights.

· Perform other duties as assigned by practice manager, MA Lead or as requested by healthcare provider(s).
