This role is paying $25/hr - $30/hr + Overtime + Premier Benefits!

The Quality Control Representative monitors and evaluates the workmanship on large new construction projects. They will spot check projects during installs and ensure that the crews are following the installation specification set forth by the management and perform all final quality control checks of every project once they are completed.

Job Summary:

• Perform all planned and random inspections of jobs in production daily
• Be responsible for documenting all onsite visits
• Enforce all company and manufacturer installation specifications
• Monitor and address violations of OSHA safety guidelines
• Assure to the best of their ability that all materials, workmanship, and construction are in full compliance with the contract plans
• Pick up additional needed material and deliver it to the jobsite as needed
• Conduct final QC inspection
• Report major installation errors to the Construction Manager
• Participate in all subcontractor and production department meetings

Candidate Requirements:

• 5+ years commercial roofing experience preferred

Position Summary: 

The Manufacturing Engineer at Quality Steel Corporation (QSC) supports engineering and automation work across the company’s four sites. This role is part of the machine-build group responsible for designing and building manufacturing equipment for internal use. The Manufacturing Engineer supports the full build cycle of manufacturing equipment, including design, fabrication support, assembly, construction, testing, commissioning, and ongoing support. This role works on a cross-discipline team and spends time in the machine build shop and on plant floors during evaluation, planning, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support mechanical design and improvement projects for manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and plant systems.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation (drawings, work instructions, build notes, BOMs, spare parts lists).
• Assist with equipment build, testing, and commissioning activities; participate in runoffs and troubleshooting.
• Collect and analyze data related to downtime, scrap, throughput, and process capability; help implement corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives (layout improvements, error-proofing, standard work, cycle time reduction).
• Assist controls engineers with basic tasks such as panel assembly, I/O checks, sensor selection, device documentation, panel labeling, and simple HMI/PLC changes (training provided; complexity scales with ability).
• Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and quality teams to prioritize issues and close the loop on fixes.
• Work with vendors on components, quotes, and technical details for engineering projects.
• Participate directly in fabrication support, assembly, and build activities in the machine build shop as needed.

Experience:

• 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing preferred, consideration given for other relevant experience.
• Willingness to work in a hands-on environment and spend regular time in the machine build shop and on plant floors during commissioning.
• Comfort learning new tools quickly; able to follow structured troubleshooting and documentation practices.
• Internship/co-op, senior design, or hands-on project experience (machines, automation, fabrication, robotics, PLC exposure, etc.) preferred.
• Basic CAD familiarity (SolidWorks/Inventor/Fusion 360 or similar).
• Basic electrical/controls familiarity (sensors, wiring concepts, ladder logic exposure) preferred.
• Lean/CI exposure (5S, Kaizen, standard work, root cause analysis) preferred.
• Experience with welding, powder coating, steel quality, or similar processes preferred.

Graphics Coordinator

LOCATION: Columbus, WI

SUMMARY: The Graphics Coordinator at American Packaging Corporation (APC) plays a crucial role in managing and executing customer graphics projects from inception through to final production approval. SUMMARY: A program designed to train a skilled worker through a combination of on-the-job training and classroom instruction to become a Maintenance Technician at American Packaging Corporation. Maintenance Technicians are responsible for electrical and mechanical systems in the facility, which will include troubleshooting and routine maintenance activities. Throughout this program, they will learn to troubleshoot and repair equipment problems that affect productivity of the manufacturing group as well as plant facilities and subsystems. They will learn to be involved with the process improvements providing input in production problem solving.

Approval Process: Applicants will be interviewed and chosen based on their experience, knowledge, and overall work history. The chosen finalists will be required to take and pass an aptitude test.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Duration: 3-4 years for completion

Classroom Training: Several courses required through local school, such as Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical and Machining courses.

Hours of Work: As needed for class schedule, must be flexible.

On the Job Training:

A. Tool and Supply Room (~200 hrs)

Learn size of wire conduit and bending of conduit, use of tools and how to determine the size of load safety.

B. Lighting (~200 hrs)

Replacement of incandescent lamps and hot cathode fluorescent tubes and starters. Repair of fluorescent fixtures, replacing ballast, socket and wiring, code requirements. Repair of LED fixtures, replacing drivers and troubleshooting.

C. Trouble Shooting AC Wiring (~300 hrs)

Learn to locate and repair contactor problems, replacing contacts and contactor. Locate and replace blown fuses. Check and repair limit switches, push buttons, etc.

D. Special Circuits AC (~500 hrs)

Learn to read wiring diagrams. Operation of special control circuits, time delay switches, electrical braking.

E. Direct Current Machinery (~500 hrs)

Learn to locate and repair direct current motor troubles in fields, armatures, bearings, brush holders, and commutators. Knowledge of variable speed DC drives. Repair and maintenance of DC contactors and field control.

F. General Wiring (~500 hrs)

Learn proper handling and installation of power feeding, wiring, fuse panels, breakers, etc. Estimate load requirements. Code requirements. Install general wiring.

G. Instruments (~100 hrs)

Learn proper use and care of voltmeter, ammeter, watt meter, oscilloscope and megger, etc.

H. Computerized Controls (~600 hrs)

Programmable logic controllers: reading diagrams and schematics; maintaining and troubleshooting.

I. Care, Use and Safety of Tools and Equipment (~500 hrs)

Hand tools, power tools, machines and power equipment, ladders, scaffolding and hoists.

J. Machine Repair (Mechanical) (~1500 hrs)

As a Production Supervisor (2nd shift) you will:

Job Description:

• Directs the activities of employees engaged in manufacturing activities including but not limited to training and supervising, maintaining a positive work environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and established policies and procedures.
• Assign necessary manpower to support schedule demand on daily basis.
• Oversee product quality data collection, machine utilization and efficiency data tracking.
• Work with other production supervisors to resolve daily production issues such as material, delivery, quality, and employee performance.
• Meets production schedule and meets customer's expectations.
• Meets company's and customer's quality and workmanship standards.
• Supervises production line set-up including but not limited to testing and adjusting line equipment prior to operation and ensuring production line starts on schedule.
• Supervises all production activities performed by employees; maintains a high degree of visibility and access to employees throughout the shift.
• Monitors and reports daily production results, material usage, waste, and downtime.
• Reports equipment problems to appropriate department and operations manager.
• Coordinates with quality control to maintain quality standards; takes appropriate corrective measures to resolve deficiencies.
• Forecasts staffing needs to meet peak demands of the business and staff team accordingly; trains, motivates, coaches, rewards, and disciplines employees being supervised; resolves personnel issues.
• Manages personnel issues including but not limited to vacation approvals, timecard approval, daily and weekly overtime, hiring, and training.
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Requirements:

• Degree or equivalent (three additional years of experience in lieu of degree may be considered).
• At least six years of work experience in PCBA manufacturing or PCBA contract electronics manufacturing industry.
• Must have experience in System Integration/Box Build
• Good communications skills.
• Strong leadership and hands-on production work experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge and experience in MSOffice (Excel, Word) and Outlook.
• Commitment to excellence and high standards.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

Yearly Salary Range: $83,000 - $87,000
