Students will go through a two-year curriculum where they will rotationally attend Illinois Central College, located in East Peoria, IL for 8 weeks and then attend a Altorfer branch to complete an 8 week internship. This rotation continues throughout the duration of the program. A few of the courses they will take are Fundamentals of Hydraulics, Caterpillar Engine Fuel Systems, Fundamentals of Electrical Systems, Diagnostic Testing, and Undercarriage/Final Drives.

- Ensures the resident's service plan is updated as indicated by state regulations.

- Schedules clinical staff on a monthly basis.

Job Summary and QualificationsThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. - Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
- Participates in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
- Supports the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Job Summary and QualificationsThis role will float to Cath Lab, EP Lab, OR, Pre-Op and PACU. As a Float Pool Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for performing patient assessments, developing a plan of care, and implementing and evaluating care. As a member of the interdisciplinary care team, you will work collaboratively with the other members to assure the safe and accurate delivery of care. In this role, you will have the opportunity to float to the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit, Emergency Department, CVICU, Cath Lab Prep/Recovery, and other units as assigned based of competencies.
You will formulate a plan of care, revise the plan based on the patient's response to treatment and regularly evaluate plan for effectiveness
You will consult and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop, evaluate and revise the plan of care to meet the patient's needs and goals
You will administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy
You will delegate work appropriately to non-licensed staff in accordance with standards of practice
You will provide pre- and post-operative patient care
You will provide education materials to patients and families on care and treatments
You will facilitate discharge plans in collaboration with the care team

Experience
2 years of recent clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Preferred - Background in procedural units
Education
Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
