Job Summary
The Sourcing Manager will lead the strategic sourcing and supplier management of aluminum extrusions, powder coating, castings, fabricated metals, and other products. This role is critical to developing a resilient, cost-effective, and globally competitive supply base. You’ll work cross-functionally to optimize cost, ensure continuity, and improve supplier performance across multiple commodities. This position offers the opportunity to shape long-term sourcing strategy while driving immediate value through tactical execution and supplier collaboration. Essential Functions
- Develop and lead sourcing strategies for aluminum extrusions and other assigned commodities in alignment with business goals and global market conditions.
- Conduct market research to identify and evaluate current and potential domestic and international suppliers based on total cost, quality, capability, and capacity.
- Generate and maintain various top management flash reports and monthly market overview reports on key commodities.
- Manage supplier negotiations focused on long-term value: pricing, terms, payment schedules, rebates, lead times, and risk mitigation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers; drive continuous improvement via performance reviews, scorecards, and structured feedback.
- Analyze cost structures, supply chain risks, and industry dynamics to drive sourcing decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Partner closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure timely and specification-compliant delivery of materials.
- Lead sourcing events (RFPs, RFQs) and oversee contracts to ensure total cost optimization and performance assurance.
- Project manage Sourcing and VA/VE projects to implementation
- Monitor inventory levels and internal purchasing tendencies to coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure supply continuity and support cost reduction targets.
- Champion process improvements and implement tools that enhance procurement efficiency and transparency.
- Ensure compliance with internal processes, SOX requirements, and procurement best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field required; MBA or certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPIM) preferred.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of sourcing or commodity management experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong emphasis on aluminum extrusions and steel items.
- Demonstrated success negotiating with both domestic and international suppliers.
- Strong technical knowledge of sourcing systems, procurement processes, and cost structures.
- Demonstrated strong project management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP/MRP systems (JDE experience is a plus).
- Ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights and actions.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Comprehension of market dynamics and ability to translate the information into meaningful language.

Position Summary
The Youth Park Corps Crew Leader provides oversight to Youth Park Corps crew workers on job sites. Assists in orientation and evaluation of Youth Park Corps workers. At Proper Paving, crew technicians are not hired for a single task. This position requires reliability, flexibility, steady effort, and a team-first mindset. Crew Technicians are expected to help wherever needed to keep production moving safely, efficiently, and professionally.

Core Responsibilities
General Paving & Site Duties
- Follow instructions given by the foreman and production leadership
- Place hot mix asphalt using shovels, lutes, and other hand tools
- Shovel, rake, sweep, and level asphalt, gravel, and dirt
- Assist with loading and unloading materials
- Maintain a clean and organized jobsite throughout the day
- Set up and maintain traffic control as required
- Assist with layout, measurements, and grade control as directed
Equipment Operation (Training Provided)
- Operate commercial paving equipment such as:
- Rollers
- Skid-steers with various attachments (broom, miller, bucket, etc.)
- Sweepers and other small equipment
- Perform basic equipment checks and cleaning
- Assist with equipment maintenance as directed
Site Preparation & Repair
- Prepare parking lots, driveways, and roads for paving
- Clean, sweep, blow, and remove debris
- Assist with patching and repair work
- Use hand tools such as sledgehammers, picks, and shovels
- Assist with excavation and prep using skid-steers or mini excavators (as trained)
Sealcoating & Maintenance Support
- Clean parking lots prior to sealing
- Assist with crack cleaning and crack filling

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Crew Lead at Home Weather, located in Lawrence, MA. The Crew Lead will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of the crew to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on time. Daily tasks will include assigning duties, monitoring work quality, ensuring safety protocols are followed, providing on-the-job training, and resolving any issues that arise. The Crew Lead will also be responsible for maintaining communication with management and clients to provide updates on project progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a crew performing home performance work such as insulation, air sealing, blower door testing, and HVAC efficiency measures.
- Review work orders and ensure materials, tools, and equipment are ready for each job.
- Conduct on-site safety briefings and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Monitor progress to ensure work meets quality assurance, program, and inspection standards.
- Train, coach, and evaluate crew members to improve efficiency and workmanship.
- Communicate clearly with customers about work being performed, timelines, and any necessary follow-ups.
- Coordinate with the Production Manager, Energy Auditors, and Warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow.
- Complete daily production reports, time logs, and material usage documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site and vehicle.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and team management skills to effectively oversee a crew
- Knowledge of industry-specific safety protocols and regulations
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members, management, and clients
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in weatherization, insulation, HVAC, or general construction; at least 1 year in a leadership role preferred
- Certifications (Preferred): BPI Building Analyst or Envelope Professional, OSHA 10/30.
- Other: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Building science fundamentals, air sealing, insulation types, and diagnostic testing (blower door, duct leakage).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in attics, basements, and crawl spaces, and tolerate varying temperatures.
