Position Summary:
The Structural Superintendent is responsible for providing on-site coordination for all phases of construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. Superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.
Responsibilities:

- Oversee and supervise Carpenter Foremen, Pile Foremen and project operations as it relates to bridge and concrete structures.

- Provide support, direction and guidelines for project operational issues to Project Engineers, Field Engineers and Foremen.
- Assist in the development of lift plans, form systems, support of excavations systems, demolition plans.
- Coordinate and schedule construction equipment for structure related work including outside rental equipment with Dispatch
- Schedule subcontractors in accordance to required work schedule, pump trucks and material deliveries, Inspect and verify the receipt or shipment of materials.
- Develop 3 Week Schedules to plan and coordinate labor, equipment, material, and Survey needs.
- Develop Daily Work Plans to plan and coordinate labor and equipment forces.
- Review man-hour reports on a weekly basis.
- Coordinate labor and equipment needs with General Superintendent β Structures and Construction Dispatcher.
- Review field operations daily basis.
- Attend weekly project planning meetings on assigned projects.
- Attend weekly tool box meetings.

Position Description
In this role, youβll manage their outside sales, responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers (new and old). Youβll also provide customer service to those customers, along with supporting others who come through the door. You may also be asked to help implement installed sales.
There will be some travel within a radius of say 75 miles with this role, but much of what has been face-to-face can also be managed through video chat, text, etc.
Responsibilities include:
- Meet with new and existing customers to understand what they need from us to be successful.
- Keep management up to date on existing orders.
- Provide accurate takeoffs for building materials
- Stay up to date with building codes, industry norms, new products and product specifications.
- Maintain a good relationship with vendors, and all other store employees.
- Visit jobsites as needed to meet with customers or their carpenters to ensure job is moving smoothly and provide any support they may need.
- Help resolve any customer issues with products or services we have provided in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in industry sales, with a strong track record to show you can deliver results.
- Candidates with lumber yard experience will be considered first, though we can also look at those from other residential building material companies.
- Must have residential construction know-how like basic building codes so products will pass inspections and be used properly. Also, you need to understand residential project timeframes.
- Excellent customer management skills, as much of the work is from existing relationships. This includes under high-stress situations.
Compensation:
$85,000-125,000 annual base plus bonus, based on experience and success level. Solid benefits to match.

McBride is seeking a Project Estimator for our growing Portland operation. With the backing of our main office in Seattle, McBrideβs 40-plus year tenure in the Pacific Northwest will give you the freedom to help grow with a newer team, while providing the know-how and support to guide your processes.
The Estimator is a critical position within our company. Estimators are responsible for evaluating specifications and drawings, ensuring that all information about the project is complete in order to successfully estimate, bid, and win the project. Estimators work closely with the production team, follow up on quotes, budgets and oversee the management of the project from a high level.

Required Education / Experience:
Β· Associateβs degree in construction management or a long tenured journeyman carpenter with no less than a decade of progressively increasing responsibility and experience.

We are seeking an experienced Foreman to support Superintendents and lead field crews in the execution of construction activities. The Foreman functions as a working leader, responsible for supervising crews, coordinating daily work activities, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project documents and company standards.
Foreman Responsibilities
β’ Assist Superintendents with daily managerial and field coordination duties
β’ Lead and supervise Rough Carpenters and/or Laborers while actively performing work
β’ Read, understand, and execute work according to plans, specifications, and scopes of work
β’ Oversee rough carpentry work including walkways, structures, enclosures, railings, stairs, temporary doors/openings, and site safety installations
β’ Direct crews in material handling, layout, measuring, cutting, and installation activities
β’ Identify jobsite hazards and direct corrective actions using carpentry and safety best practices
β’ Coordinate logistics including workforce utilization, plant layout, equipment, and quality control
β’ Collaborate with project teams to develop schedules, determine sequencing, and implement recovery plans as needed
β’ Develop daily and short-term work plans and delegate crew assignments
β’ Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to verify scope understanding and monitor progress
β’ Ensure contracted work complies with approved contract documents
Foreman Requirements
β’ Minimum of seven (7) years of construction experience, including at least one (1) year in a foreman, lead, or supervisory role
β’ OSHA 30-hour certification required or willingness to obtain
β’ Strong leadership, delegation, and team motivation skills
β’ Ability to plan, analyze, and solve problems using sound judgment
β’ Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and scopes of work
β’ Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
β’ Basic computer skills, including use of smartphones or tablets for project applications
β’ Ability to train, develop, and provide performance feedback to team members
